Your beloved Buccaneers marched down and scored a touchdown in their first possession tonight in Miami.
It felt like a Christmas miracle, but only for about 25 seconds.
That’s when big-money free agent kicker Chandler Catanzaro stepped up and yanked the extra point wide left.
After an exceptionally strong training camp, Catanzaro was temporarily taken over by the ghosts of Roberto Aguayo, Nick Folk, Kyle Brindza and Rian Lindell.
Bucs fans across social media — and everywhere else — were in stunned disbelief. (By the missed kick, not the quick touchdown.)
At halftime, Dirk Koetter talked to the Buccaneers Radio Network, which didn’t ask him about the blown kick, but the head coach went there anyway with his sarcasm in midseason form.
“Hey, we got that first missed extra point out of the way,” Koetter said.
That got a laugh from Joe.
Thankfully, Catanzaro settled down and made his next two extra points and a 27-yard field goal, before missing from 53 yards and hitting a 26-yarder to win the game.
Right now, the Bucs have no other kicker on the roster.

i also don’t see all the love for Licht.. After all the years in charge of the team and bucs still have a loosing record …You can’t blame the coaches because Jason hired them. nice guy but not much as a gm …so far
