Optimism For Quick Kendall Beckwith Return

July 25th, 2018

Update.

Fantastic, encouraging chatter today at One Buc Palace.

Joe is fired up!

After an offseason car accident sent second-year linebacker Kendall Beckwith to the hospital for complicated ankle surgery, it appeared Beckwith’s season might be in jeopardy, and that was reinforced yesterday when Bucs officials placed him on the non-football-injury list to start training camp.

But Lavonte David threw a lot of optimism out there about Beckwith this afternoon. Joe asked David about Beckwith’s spirits and how close he thinks Beckwith is to playing.

“Beckwith’s spirits is the highest I’ve ever seen anyone” David said. “You know, Beck said he could play right now. We was messing with him out there. We was running conditioning tests, we were telling him to come and he would like trot over like. But you know, you just got to go through the protocol, man. Beck is doing what he’s told, being here on time, trying to get his stuff together sticking around and, you know, us as a group we know we need him. He was a big, big part of our defense last year.”

David added that he didn’t see any limp from Beckwith and he thinks he’ll return “sooner than later.”

I got a strong feeling that this guy will be our breakout player of the year. Not because there won’t be many but I think beckwith has elite potential. Could be better than both kwon and lvd.

  2. Kobe Faker Says:

“Kobe thinks we have been swindled. How old is this guy really? “2nd year” Kendall Beckwith? Mr Beckwith looks like he is 50 years old. 20 something? he looks like James Walker of Good Times”

I didn’t realize Lavonte has joined the Bucs medical staff.

  4. Alanbucsfan Says:

A healthy Beckwith is an X factor
    Winnable games:
    Bears
    Redskins
    Giants
    49ers
    Bengals
    Browns
    Ravens

Go 3-6 or 4-5 in other games
    = playoffs

If it was Dot or GMC or Grimes I’d be more concerned. But Beckwith has the best attribute of all for recovering from an injury…youth!

    Alan

ALL of the games are winnable
Never go into a competition expecting to lose, you will
    Winners ALWAYS expect to win!

Beckwith could be better than David & Kwon? That would be AWESOME if that happens !! Defense is going to great this year ! My MVP prediction is Vita Vea !! Put him in at fullback on the goal line and pitch him a wildcat ball and watch him score !! This year is going to be fun to watch !! Go bucs !!!
