“I Will Be Here For Training Camp”

June 12th, 2018

He’s here.

The anointed savior of the Bucs’ pass rush, defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, happily staked his Bucs flag into the ground and proclaimed accountability for the remainder of the 2018 season.

In speaking to the Tampa Bay pen and mic club today at One Buc Palace, JPP answered questions regarding what he wants fans to know why he wasn’t present for OTAs, which are voluntary.

“I texted a bunch of guys and the coaches the reason why I wasn’t here,” said JPP, adding, “I will be here for training camp.”

So there you have it. If fans want to see JPP in Bucs gear, then come out to training camp practice. He will be sweating like the rest of his teammates.

JPP will be a high effort pro as always and will be part of an actual rotation here, which we haven’t seen in some time. He’ll be just fine. If he’s communicating with coaches and teammates and they have no issue with his absence, as a vested veteran I trust him. Of course the results should speak for themselves…

NY IN DA HOOOUSE!!! Finally might have some backbone on that slime. Philly N are real too so let’s pray these dudes eat Cam’s lunch.

Btw, why did the leader of the worst def in the nfl gush over Cam last night? Like, my dude, you supposed to dislike the opposing QBs especially when they beat you over and over again. I digress!

I hope JPP comes to work with a flamethrower. #NoIceCream

  7. SCBucsFan Says:

Essentially he said I had a reason I wasn’t there and, no, you cannot know that reason. Nothing to see here.

Joe, when is it open to the public and do you have a link to the practice times and schedule ? can’t seem to find it.

Can’t find something that doesn’t exist. 🙂 Bucs have yet to release their 2018 training camp schedule. Should be out before the end of the month, that’s for sure.

Yeah, it’s called having a personal life. Do you make it public info when you miss a voluntary function at work? Didn’t think so.

Maybe he had to make a road trip to get some really good fireworks for the upcoming holiday?

idk DB55……the “losing culture” aka GMC has wore out the best of them…..his smile is contiguous….player come in as angry winners and leave happy losers…..will that continue?…..we’ll find out very soon…..

    #NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!….#PRESSURESONTHECOACHES!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!

JPP is gonna bring it-no doubt.
For a 3rd round pick and some money, he is better than Bradley Chubb at this point in their careers by far. The JPP trade was awesome, I know he is loving Florida too.So glad to have him! I hope the press corp stops pestering him with stupid questions.

  16. John5 Says:

Hey I like it. That says to me he’s aware of what the fans are saying about his absence. Maybe that will add a little fire to him. Veteran GMC was out there getting screamed at during the voluntary OTAs.

But in reality he needs to be better than Quinn and Bennett for it to be a win.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think both Quinn and Bennett were had for a 4th round pic AND if you aren’t aware JPP is like the 2nd highest paid DE in the league but his production doesn’t match his pay. What else is new? That’s what TB specializes in overpaying and underperforming.

  18. Mike Johnson Says:

Some Buc Fans have got to be the biggest idiots around. What part of..Non-mandatory OTA’s do they not understand? Ok so he lost money. Its his right/?
Kinda hard for a lot of you to understand his mentality when YOU..are making 1500 to 2 grand every 2 weeks huh? Its his dime and he can spend it anyway he wants to. He don’t need to bond with these guys. Trust me, Once these players see JPP bring it like no other sorry A.s Buc does? They will bond perfectly. We Bucs been such Losers, we have time to sit back and nit-pick why the guy did not show. Winners? Just keep on Winning, JPP will be there when it counts. Thats all that matters.

That is last year’s schedule (2017). Heard from Bucs media relations VP release would be closer to the end of the month.
