Vegas Valuation Of Jameis-To-Fitzpatrick Dropoff

June 26th, 2018

Vegas speaks loudly

This very interesting story from the Vegas Stats & Information Network, via the New York Post, is either great news for Bucs fans or troubling, or both.

Simply stated, oddsmakers study the “dropoff” value change from every team’s starting quarterback to the backup.

And the Vegas data geniuses see a small dropoff from America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, to Ryan Fitzpatrick. What’s perhaps more disturbing is several sports books do not expect to change the over-under win total for the Bucs this year, 6.5 games, per the report.

The Buccaneers open the season at New Orleans on Sept. 9. Before the Winston news broke last week, the Saints were posted as 7½-point favorites. The game is now off the board, but when it gets re-posted the line is likely to be 9½ or 10.

A two-point adjustment in the point spread would make Winston one of the NFL’s 10 least valuable starting quarterbacks, based on Andrews’ ratings for all 32 starters. Rodgers rates as the most valuable, with a nine-point drop-off to Green Bay’s backup, either Brett Hundley or DeShone Kizer.

“I can never remember a number higher,” Andrews said. “Rodgers deserves it.”

In recent years, 7½ points was the ceiling for a quarterback’s point-spread value, and that number seemed to be a stretch. … … … A handful of other starters are in Rodgers’ neighborhood. Andrews’ ratings show eight-point drop-offs from Carolina’s Cam Newton and New Orleans’ Drew Brees to their inexperienced backups. A seven-point value is put on New England’s Tom Brady and Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger.

Look, Joe sees no reason why the Bucs can’t go out and beat the Saints in New Orleans with Ryan Fitzpatrick on opening day. The Saints will be down Mark Ingram, their top rusher, and they have lost three consecutive home openers.

No excuses, not for that game.

As for Jameis’ projected value versus Fitzpatrick, it’s an interesting study. Joe would like to examine that while both of those guys operate with a dangerous running game for a change.

  1. Jff Says:

The best thrown ball by a buc qb was the bomb Fitz threw to Evans at the end of cards game.

  2. Lamarcus Says:

I told you Joe the books see huge value in JW.

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

One factor in the minimal drop-off is that Fitz will have the entire TC & preseason to prepare….that’s somewhat of an unusual situation….he’ll get the reps necessary to be ready.
An injury in mid-season is another story….
I think Fitz will be OK for 3 games….don’t trust him as much for 16 (age)

  4. Mike Johnson Says:

Thank you Joe..NO EXCUSES. Saints will not have the bruiser Ingram. And we will not have the slow starter-Jameis. And we supposedly have a much improved Defense? We shall see. Our mindset should be..Every game is a winnable game..Period. Fitz will be ok. As long as WE..can stop somebody. Hell,.. Any GD Body!!! I wonder if our DC Smitty will make a..surprise sideline appearance for the 1st game?

  6. AlteredEgo Says:

tBBF….not only that Fitz will have a more talented roster on both sides of the ball

  7. ToesOnTheLine!!! Says:

Sounds about right to me. JW hasn’t proven himself to be able to single handedly win games on a regular basis ala TB12 and Aaron Rodgers, nor has Firz’s career been a complete disaster. I think Jameis has more unrealized potential than Fitz, but Fitz has proven he can lead a team to what matters most…a winning season (before choking when said team needed him most, but hey we’re only talking a few games here not a season). Great move keeping Fitz another year IMO.

  8. Dooshlarue Says:

    Ah…….. the Rational Joe.
    I like you.

  9. Ghastly Bucs Says:

Average QB vs Average QB, wonder why. Maybe if Jameis ever does grow up to b a good QB, then we will see more of a drop off.

  10. Tony LA Says:

    Oh boy…

I love you, Joe – but don’t drink the Fitz Kool-Aid. I don’t live in Tampa any longer. I grew up there and have since lived in NY, L.A., and all over the country – I bring this up because Fitz has played ALL OVER THE COUNTRY AS WELL and there is a web article boneyard of old posts like this one brimming with hope about the tantalizing talents of Fitz. Reading them is a sad and devastating exercise when we know the horrible aftermath that ensued when Fitz started games for teams.

Don’t fall into that trap, Joe. You’re better than that! The Bucs need to bring in real competition right now. Someone who can not only beat out Fitz, but really worry Jameis as well.

If Fitz still beats out the new guy in the preseason – so be it!! Good!
But I doubt it will happen. Fitz is not out-dueling Brees, Big Ben, and Wentz. No chance.

  11. passthebuc Says:

    I’ll take the Buc’s and 10

  12. SC Bucs Fan Says:

I love it… making judgements on a line not posted yet

  13. Maze Says:

Interesting data. But it’s important to remember that Kizer and Hundley are trash and Rodgers is a Hall of Famer.

  14. Ludicrous Speed Says:

I was never a Winston hater. I didn’t think it was a wise choice but once the Bucs made it I tried to be cautiously optimistic and hope for the best. Following is an excerpt from an excellent one page article on Deadpan regarding his apologists from the time he was drafted:

“This was a concerted, ongoing effort to rebrand Winston, to build him up and make him more respectable to the viewing public. They sold Winston as someone he never was, all so that the fans and the media and the brands never had to feel like they were making any kind of moral compromise in supporting him.”

I would love to see the Joes address all the points raised in this story in a story of their own referencing it (if they have the courage to face themselves) … “courage to face themselves?” C’mon, man. Your going to blame Joe or claim Joe was duped or operating with a closed mind? That’s just not reality.–Joe …. as they are as complicit as Jason Licht, Lovie Smith and others in this. (Speaking of selling Winston as someone he never was, does anybody here really believe that Winston is, or ever was, “America’s Quarterback?”)

The article is called, “The Bucs Did This to Themselves.”

  15. DB55 Says:

Were talking about the same Fitzpatrick that got cut for Josh McClown? Lol, you guys are funny man like really hysterically or historically funny.

I really just want to see what ANY qb can do with only 3 blockers on the online. And I def that gives up the booty faster than a Nebraska skank.

  16. AlteredEgo Says:

The team STILL needs another EXPIRENCED starting caliber QB…ASAP…..

  17. Pickgrin Says:

There’s not a huge drop off because Fitz is one of the better back-ups in the league. He certainly has more in-game experience than any other back-up in the league.

Biggest difference between Winston and Fitz is arm strength. Winston can make every throw on the field including 40+ yards with ease (sometimes accurately – sometimes not). Fitz has decent zip on his passes up to 20 yards. But beyond 20-25 yards they tend to lose steam. So that is one adjustment Koetter/Monken will have to make when playcalling for Ryan vs Jameis.

Both are good at scrambling/buying time for receivers to get open with the edge going to Winston. Fitz is a better “runner” than Jameis because he’s smaller, faster and can get 10-15 yards down field more quickly when a gap and opportunity open up. Fitz also seems to take off up field more readily if he sees the opportunity – whereas Winston is always looking to throw 1st – even when scrambling out of the pocket.

Both have a history of making questionable throws – but in general both have more upside than not when trying to “squeeze one in there”. Edge to Winston in that regard obviously.

Winston is for sure the better “playmaker” – but Fitz, at this point in his career, is probably the better “game manager”.

Sucks that our starting QB won’t be available for the 1st 3 games or whatever – but Ryan Fitzpatrick gives this team a legit chance to win any of the games he starts this year if the rest of the team as a whole plays well.

  18. DB55 Says:

    Ludicrous

That’s not journalism that’s opinion, actually it’s just a hit piece with zero facts. If you think that’s an excellent article then it just shows you’re not very bright. Case in point you posted a broken link.

  19. AlteredEgo Says:

Pig….” Fitz has decent zip on his passes up to 20 yards. But beyond 20-25 yards they tend to lose steam.”….Brad Johnson before his neck injury could throw the ball deep like Jeff George….after the nerve damage…he had to shorten his games….hence his rep as “check down”….however he moved the ball…picked up the 1st downs….burned the clock…rested the D….scored some 3…scored some 6’s….and took the team to the SB….this is the single greatest thing Jameis could learn about the NFL…he needs to learn how to think like the “house” in Vegas….not some international “whale”

  20. SchwiftyBuc Says:

JFF that’s not true. Jameis was throwing lasers all game long for the 2nd ATL game. He was also incredible against Buffalo, Green Bay, Detroit, and was pretty good in the 2nd Carolina game.

  21. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Great assessment Pickgrin. You are on point, and I agree with everything you said.

You did something rare here lately. You sounded sane. Fair assessment without being dramatic for effect or inserting an exaggerated opinion.

  22. Ludicrous Speed Says:

No, Joe, I certainly don’t blame you for the drafting of Winston. Nor did I claim you were duped in any way, as I firmly believe you were entirely aware of every aspect relating to him – the wool was not pulled over your eyes and I never meant for anyone to think that it was.

As far as an open or closed mind (the only issue remaining) I suppose you would have to say that the “America’s Quarterback” routine is just your schtick, and I guess that’s okay, but the way it’s been repeated incessantly for a very long time (and still is) does tend to call that issue into question a bit. It’s just that I doubt any reasonable (open-minded) person believes it. Believes what? Joe doesn’t care how it’s viewed/interpreted. Again, it’s been the nickname for Jameis here since 5 months before he was drafted and Joe certainly had no guaranteed during the 2014 season that Jameis would be here.–Joe Don’t believe me? Post a poll and I’d bet it would be a landslide against. And that’s in a friendly market. Try it nationally, say, on Florio’s site and I doubt you would get anyone to agree with it. That’s just reality. Still, I guess it’s just your schtick, huh?

The points made in the Deadspin article really do rate your intellectual attention and I’d be very interested to see how you would address them in an article of your own. It would at least make for good schtick and maybe even more. As hard as it might be for you to believe, Joe isn’t doing schtick, just covering the Bucs in the way Joe enjoys. Been the same here since Day 1 in 2008.–JOe

  23. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Don’t worry about anything jff says. He is here with an agenda.

    Jff Says:

    He’s a narcissistic sociopath

So before you say things, maybe you should understand the words first.
First lets address Narcissist. So Jameis constantly talks about serving others and impacting youth in the community. That my friend is the opposite of a narcissist but kudos to you for ignoring relevant facts to support your own agenda.

Sociopath- well you probably couldn’t have picked a worse word unless you decided to use unicorn to describe America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston. Jameis is a natural leader and loves to help and encourage others, not exactly antisocial behavior.

If you don’t like someone that’s your right, but to make stuff up and incenuate he is this or that is wrong. Then when you try to spread your hate and use the wrong words you look idiotic.

I’m sick of hearing all these baseless attacks on OUR franchise QB. Yes baseless, where is your proof to justify coming on here and calling him a sex offender or a rapist. Or a narcissist or a sociopath. Its just sad.

  24. AlteredEgo Says:

    LS….3 second KO…

  25. Jff Says:

Joe is telling Rock riley that Banks is lying and accuses of him of trying to reduce his sentence.
You don’t get to make things up about Joe. You are now in the commenter cooler. –Joe

  26. Defense Rules Says:

@Joe … “Look, Joe sees no reason why the Bucs can’t go out and beat the Saints in New Orleans with Ryan Fitzpatrick on opening day. The Saints will be down Mark Ingram, their top rusher, and they have lost three consecutive home openers.” Am I seeing a glimmer of hope Joe that the Bucs with Fitz under center MIGHT be able to beat the Saints? I have trouble getting excited about Vegas’ odds since they don’t play the game. Not to mention that we haven’t even started training camp yet. Ingram being out is significant, but the Saints having lost their last 3 consecutive home openers is irrelevant to the outcome of this year’s game.

Pickgrin, excellent and fair analysis. Bringing facts to any discussion on JBF about Jameis vs Fitz though is like what they say about bringing a knife to a gunfight.

And Ludicrous, DB55 hit the nail on the head about that article: “That’s not journalism that’s opinion.” Of course, EVERYTHING surrounding Jameis nowadays is opinion … at least until Goodell has the cajones to make the NFL’s decision official. From a scheduling & many other standpoints, he must really hate the Bucs. This could’ve all easily been taken care of last year.

  27. Tampabaybucfan Says:

  29. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I don’t know if anyone else notices this with Fitz but it appears he simply doesn’t have the arm strength of Jameis…..I watched several of he throws and on some of the ones that were broken-up and intercepted…they were on target but the ball seemed to get there a split second late.
I think he is somewhat accurate…but the speed….not so.

  30. Ludicrous Speed Says:

    Link to that article is:
    https://deadspin.com/the-bucs-did-this-to-themselves-1827131980

To DB55: I apologize, the zero (0) at the end was missing and I didn’t test it. However, even the link with the last number missing could get an intelligent person to the site by clicking on Deadspin on the top bar of the incomplete page it took you to. The story “The Bucs Did This to Themselves” (with a photo) comes right up to click on. The error was merely a typo-like error. Nothing to get in a tiff over.
However, here is the complete link above.

Also, instead of making blanket, unsubstantiated remarks (e.g. “opinion, zero facts”) which aren’t true along with ad hominem attacks, instead try reading the article (it’s only one page) and then taking to task anything you may have issue with. I think you’ll find it well founded though. If you’re unwilling to do that, then the problem resides more in close-mindedness than in the article or the source
    itself.

“The Bucs did this to themselves” This is obviously true because they drafted him……the only question that remains is….What is “this’?

  40. Gambelero Says:

I’m starting to get worried. Why not come out with it. The way things stand now, 3 games is the best-case scenario. The longer it goes the higher the probability that America gets a longer suspension.

Maybe they’re waiting for a slow news day. If it doesn’t come out on Friday, we’re in trouble. The only other possibility is next Tuesday. We’ll be looking at 6 games if the official word hasn’t come out by the Friday the 6th.

Very good point about the Fritz-Jameis line move, Joe. Wish I could help, but I don’t have enough data. The only thing I can help with is this play: when a team loses a big player, a really big player—a QB in football or an all star in basketball—and subsequently wins and (pretend italics) covers the spread the next game, bet against that team on game 2 without the star player.

  41. BucdUp Says:

Uh oh!! A dead body was found at NY Giants Janoris Jenkins house today while he wasn’t there! If everyone follows the same accusations route that of Jameis then Jenkins must’ve been there, did it, and is a POS just like the rest of em….

I don’t really think that but it will be interesting to see how much heat this guy takes compared to Winston..

  42. SB Says:

I was texting with NOSBOS earlier today and he is dumbfounded. He says he owes a lot of apologies to people here at JBF regarding JW3. He also believes that when it is all said and done JW will end up in N.E.. What a kick in the pants that would be!

  43. Dooshlarue Says:

What ever happened to NOSBOS, SB?
I hope they finally figured his meds out.

  45. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

F Jameis! He pulled the wool over my eyes and I was adamant that he was clearly the number one pick and the dumb sh1t he did in college was behind him. Clearly he wasn’t done. He can’t be the face of this franchise and our city. He concocted a BS lie with his boy Darby to deceive the league, team, and fans. We our now back where we started looking for a franchise QB and he has set the team back 5 years. Two words Jameis. FU!

Food was pi$$ poor….and there was no Internet.

  47. SB Says:

Can’t help but say I agree with you TDTB. Life long Gator here and I supported the JW drafting. I thought, with all the talk of his ‘football IQ’ and ‘Leadership’ and how his past was behind him was a green light to draft him. I was foolish.

Ludicrous- Joe’s weren’t duped, they just have an affinity for high profile, marginally talented and morally comprised QB’s. See Joe’s promoting Johnny Manziel. It’s all you need to know to understand Joe’s aren’t experts, just emotional fans like the rest fo us.

  51. Tampabaybucfan Says:

NE would never take Jameis….home of Elizabeth Warren

Besides…..they have Brady, Gronk, Edelman, Amendola, Rex Burkhead, David Andrews, Chris Hogan and more…(in common?)

Let’s just say they passed on Lamar Jackson…

    Do you get the message?

  54. Bucnut2 Says:

I’ve been saying Winston was the wrong pick on several levels for years. Most of you have taken shots at me for telling the truth, that he is a marginally talented, morally compromised poser. Turns out that most NFL experts, outside Tampa, including Bill Polian and Pat Kirwan agree with me and NOT the joe’s and the rest of the uniformed on this site. I assume apologies are forthcoming?? No. I bet none of you have the class to admit your were wrong.

  55. BringBucsBack Says:

SB, I called J-miss as Brady’s replacement, in a post last week when this mess came out.

  57. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Bunut2

I fall into a different but probably large category of fans….I was skeptical and though Jameis was a risk during the draft….I thought he was a better QB but was worried about off-field.
But….we drafted him and I quickly became a fan (a natural thing to do when you really love your team)…..had hopes….still do….disappointed in him for sure.
After it is said and done, I wouldn’t change anything at this point….but he must be honest to survive….I still think he is a better QB.
Needs a defense and running game to succeed….that’s pretty standard.

  58. Tampabaybucfan Says:

SB…..I wouldn’t make that claim but I have my suspicions….and in particular the “face” of the franchise at QB….I’m just not seeing Jameis in NE under any circumstances….not even backup.

  59. Bucnut2 Says:

TBBF- I totally understand. I too wanted to Winton to succeed because I knew his failure woudl set us back at least 5 years. However, there are those not hs katie who compare Winton to good QB’s Rogers, Brady Press. Realityis a mediocre talent with BIG time off field issues. HE needs to go.

  60. BoJim Says:

When Jameis gets back he better be one of the best or I just might give up on him. Can’t believe I said that. I like Fitz and think he will keep us in the race.

  61. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Bucnut2

I completely understand and respect your position as I do other fans who want Jameis gone.

It is very possible that he stays…..the question is does he get another chance with those folks? How can you root for the team and against it’s QB?

    A very difficult situation.

  62. Tampabaybucfan Says:

No, but the Ghost of Schiano was in there…..not the poster…the real Ghost of Schiano.

Jameis did have an area reserved for him though. All decorated with Nole stuff. On second thought he may have been there in the past….there were some crab leg shells on the floor…..stunk up the place.

  68. donuts Says:

    bucnut well said.

I am starting to think the suspension is worse than already rumored. I suspect Cameron was asked by Winston (who has no PR team -mistake) to push out this 3 game narrative to attempt to gain leverage in the room where the language is being hashed out with the NFL. I also do not think Winston will have the ability to explain this issue away with any satisfaction to the media and I expect him to use some cookie cutter language from the team and be pulled away in a timely fashion. This is going to be different that FSU days where he had more control and people willing to defend him blindly.

Winston definitely lied to the fans (Darby presence in uber car at time of incident) so from my view, he has little chance of a Tampa revival. I believe in the principal once a liar always a liar. This is not going away. The metoo movement wont let it His only saving grace may be the 2018 season….but even that is a long shot as this team has no real leader. This team won 5 games last year for a reason and it wasn’t because of hard knocks and lack of talent rather its the culture and lack of real leadership.

Is Winston a leader? No, he has low credibility as was witnessed in the W circle last year. Is Kwon a leader? I am not so sure…there is more to leadership than being the loudest in the room. GMC – not a leader.

  69. donuts Says:

    bucnut

Nobody owes you an apology….get over yourself. Your first comment on the slanted view on the blog was good but come on man. lol

  70. Sc Bucs fan Says:

Donuts if we start 0-3 and JW leads the rise from the ashes then all will be forgiven. If he loses then he have a convenient reason to send him packing.

  71. Tampabaybucfan Says:

All about winning, my friends……winning cures a great deal…….Big Ben is one of many examples….
We absolutely, positively must win…..and I’m not talking from game 3 on…..our D needs to show up big time.

A losing Jameis Winston even without this incident or suspension would be the end of Koetter, probably Licht and perhaps Winston.

He will get his chance…..don’t know if it’s a second chance or third….

  72. donuts Says:

    SC

I agree but thats only if the the language in the NFL media states that Winston broke the reporting policy….if it says anything damning about the incident in the car….the fans will be 50-50 when he come back.

In reality, he has never shown in 3 years that he can put this team on his back so to think he will do it all of a sudden now is fantasy.

  73. BucEmUp Says:

Someone name the last year Fitz had this many weapons to play with. That’s an advantage.

    Defense is another thing……nevermind.

  74. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I think Joe’s theory that one of the possibilities for the delay is that the NFL is trying to work something out with the Uber driver…..some sort of non disclosure agreement that would prevent her from talking about the incident going forward.
The NFL doesn’t want this to linger on.

  75. DB55 Says:

    Two things:

    1. Imagine if cops found a dead body in Jameis’s house? Even if he wasn’t there this town would on fire.

    2. Tbbf do you recall Jacoby Brissett?

  76. ATrain Says:

I don’t get this defense of Winston

No facts on if he grab this girl or not I Agree

But He lies and Darby lied to cover up something

Jamies has issues in College Sooo he has been lead, told, guided to stay out of these situations AND still he gets in this type of situation

I supported Him. But have to question the lie and the poor decision making

  77. SB Says:

Lol TBBF. Nice one. I was there when you got canned. Glad you came out the groom! Hey, I am not the one that predicted that. NOSBOS did when I was texting him today. I am not ready to pull the plug on JW yet. He!! the report hasn’t even come out. I am however worried about the public opinion if this gets any worse.

  78. DB55 Says:

I hate NE with a passion but will quickly jump ship if he ends up there. Raiders looking good too. It’s not that I hate the Bucs it’s just that I truly hate about 75% of Buc Fans.

  79. donuts Says:

    DB55

Thank you for bringing more irrelevant topics (dead bodies) to an already difficult situation. Yes, I know what your talking about…Jenkins. I think the funny part of this is you have no real valid arguments and are trying the Trump approach to distract instead of taking on the topic at hand.

  80. donuts Says:

What kind of fan are you talking about jumping ship? You dont sound like a REAL fan….

  81. DB55 Says:

In reality, he has never shown in 3 years that he can put this team on his back so to think he will do it all of a sudden now is fantasy.
    ———
I can think of 3 off top:
    1. Vs atl his rookie yr the 20 yard scramble, EPIC!
    2. Vs KC at KC
    3. Vs saints lweek 17 2017.

  82. DB55 Says:

Far from a “Real Fan” I know football and am not a waycist

  83. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ DB

Yes I remember Brissett….Fla transfer to NC…..3rd round pick of NE in 16…..3rd string QB…….traded in 17……..lasted one year in NE…..your point?

I’m just saying NE has somewhat of a history with their high profile players….
And, Jameis wouldn’t fit that at all.

  84. Tampabaybucfan Says:

SB…..one thing for sure…..I don’t think Jameis ever lacked for motivation….but he certainly has the motivation to win NOW.

If he doesn’t he could either be cut for his 5th year saving the Glazers 20 mil….or he would certainly receive a very low contract extension.

A motivated Jameis we will have.

As far as the cooler…..there is obviously extreme sensitivity over the America’s QB issue…..I will be laying off of that for a while….but it’s tough.

The negative fan issue is a real problem….unless he lights it up….his fumbling is more of a problem

  85. Tampabaybucfan Says:

JW has put this team on his back many times only to be let down by a soft defense at the end of games….sure, he has failed too…..but who hasn’t.
Jameis needs a complete team to win….I think he has that now…..I’m hoping they prove that in the first 3 games.
I am not calling them losses just yet…..

  86. Dooshlarue Says:

I must say, that 20 yard 1st down scramble was amazing.
    True Gri
I was never against drafting JW, but having been a fan since 76, at the tender age of 8, I didn’t want the team to make another bad decision.
The toughness that JW showed us on that play put me squarely in his corner.
And then things just started slipping. The fumbles mostly.
I’m not giving up yet, but jeez……..

  87. Dooshlarue Says:

    *Grit

  88. Mike Johnson Says:

IF I were Jameis, I’d work hard on cultivating new friends. That should be easy for him. Dump those old hommies like a..bad habit. My dad always told me comin up, Son if you hang with losers, Immature clowns and..Shady Grady’s, you’re likely to take on and cultivate some of their habits. Dad was right. After I went to college I forgotabout’em. Jameis seems to have a few..Hang on Hommies. Cut’em loose Jameis. Time to mature and realize you have moved up in class…Hopefully.

  89. Sc Bucs fan Says:

All I know is the if I was innocent everyone would have heard me shouting it by now. Even in the cooler.

  90. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Well it was a rough sleepless night for me in the cooler…

    Tucking in time in NC

    Dinnertime in Montana

And, I just simply can’t help but ask:

It’s 10:12 pm in Tampa…..do you know where your Quarterback is?

  91. Tampabaybucfan Says:

As I bid goodnight….I have to reluctantly ask this question:

It’s 10:13 in Tampa. Do you know where your QB is?

  92. Ed Kerber Says:

Conditional pick to bring Mike Glennon home!

  93. LifeOfABucFan Says:

Mike Johnson has been making too much sense this entire week…

    True post about so-called friends…

  94. SB Says:

@Life………I am glad that I am not the only one that has noticed this. Seems like a different guy almost.

  95. Duke Says:

    TBBF,

Is it possible that NE isn’t racists but rather has a preference for the GOAT who on his worst day wouldn’t be caught eating glue off his digits. A gentleman vs a juvenile. Yeah…….It’s probably race based though.

  96. jmarkbuc Says:

Mike Johnson is right about one thing

Defense should save this team, like it always has…

    Press Box Smitty.. Ugh…

  97. donuts Says:

    DB

As stated, you dont have real facts. The 2 games u referenced he made one good play not exactly putting the team on your back for ALL 4 Q and willing your team to victory ya know like the great QBs in the NFL

  98. Owlykat Says:

The NFL has been using leaks to create a media circus to cower anyone pushing them for real facts. Instead we get hearsay that would never stand up in Court such as what a rapist’s Attorney throws out to protect his Client. I have no problem with the NFL sanctioning players found guilty in a trial or a plea deal. But the NFL is trying to be the Judge and Jury to please political winds like the me too movement. For awhile the Commissioner was trying to cowtow to player activists willing to disparage saluting the red white and blue and only backed off when fans quit watching NFL Games in droves in counter protests of their own. There is no excuse for hiding what real facts they have. They are not providing Due Process that protects all Americans. Notice of the facts and the right to be heard. Not disparaging reputations of their high profile players by hearsay leaks.

  99. Erik w/ Clean Athletics Says:

    I agree with Vegas’ assessment.

And some deep throws just got more relevant, even with Fitz’ weaker arm strength.

I think he’ll distribute the ball effectively, without trying to force square pegs into round holes. (Hopefully)

  100. jmarkbuc Says:

    Owlykat

“They are not providing Due Process that protects all Americans.”

The Shield is not a Law Enforcement agency, or in the Judiciary of the US Government.

It is there ball and they can play with it anyway they want to. The NFLPA is the representation for injustices against players. Let’s see where they land when the suspension is finally announced.

  101. Ralphie Says:

An interesting fact not mentioned in the article is that ALL opposing team’s odds go up when they have a backup quarterback and play the Bucs.
