“Mickey Mouse White” Brate

It’s always fun to learn about how Bucs coaches and players needle each other.
One would think veteran tight end Cameron Brate is used to being on the receiving end. He’s a super smiley dude who started as an undrafted free agent out of Harvard. It’s a no-brainer that Brate has been the target of all kinds of one-liners.
Brate has evolved into a true NFL stud at his position; he even has the salary to match it. But he still takes his share of heat.
Tight ends coach Ben Steele noted recently that Brate is a real tough guy on the field when it comes to absorbing shots even with those “Mickey Mouse white gloves out there.”
See the photo above. Steele was cracking on Brate’s choice of gloves, which won’t be winning any fashion awards, especially among NFL players.
Steele said Brate takes the steady ribbing and he’s “good spirited” and “lighthearted” like the rest of the tight ends.

I could give les than 2 thirds of a good GD about Brated gloves. Anybody’s gloves, Black/brown.white/red/ yellow. If wearing gloves helps us win..I’m all in. And then you get an isiot here joking, White is Superior. I could rip that one wide open. But why bother. Its like one of my most admired Beother white comedians always says…You can’t fix Stupid!!

Glad Cameron Brate takes his ribbing well and is still playing like an undrafted free agent whose just happy to be here and is still trying to make his bones. Brate isn’t any prima dona, but for my money he can wear any color glove he wants that look like any cartoon character he likes as long as he keeps pulling in those third and long and red zone receptions.
