Report: Seattle Shopping Michael Bennett

March 1st, 2018

Tradebait.

The silver platter is being lifted aloft. And now it only takes Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht to cough up the ransom.

In the spring of 2013, this Bucs organization made one of the dumbest moves the NFL has ever seen, a team crying for a pass rush let a guy who just recorded nine sacks and was a beast against the run walk away for no good reason.

His name? Michael Bennett. He went on to Pro Bowls and a Super Bowl ring with the Seahawks, and today he is being shopped by Seattle, so claims Brady Henderson of BSPN.

Lo and behold, the timely opportunity to right one of the greatest wrongs in franchise history is here. And given that Joe is referring to the Bucs, that’s saying something.

Is Bennett the same player he was five years ago? No. Is he better than anything the Bucs have? What do you think? Dude is coming off an 8.5 sack season. That’s more than double what the Bucs had from any defensive end on the roster.

As Joe’s old man used to say, “Something is better than nothing.” And folks, the Bucs have nothing for an edge rush.

Is Bennett a long-term answer? No! Does Bennett have a limited shelf life? He sure does. Guess who else has a limited shelf life? Folks working at One Buc Palace if this damn team doesn’t start winning freaking games!

For the clowns who scream distractions because of Bennett’s politics or his dubious stunt of a wild goose chase with Las Vegas cops, please answer in great detail if Bennett was such a rotten apple, how did the Seahawks make the playoffs nearly every year Bennett played for them and went to two Super Bowls?

If anyone can find a police mugshot of Bennett, please tip Joe off.

Bennett is a must for Licht. And for the Bucs. This has to be done.

As Dirk Koetter told Joe this week in Indianapolis, “We can’t have 22 sacks.”

  1. donuts Says:

Licht should be pushing that big ass belly of his up to the table to see what the asking price is…..

  2. tmaxcon Says:

no one lives in the past quit like the low standard Joe! man dude let it go… bringing back players that we have already lost with is asinine and exactly why 4-12 is optimistic for next year.

  3. JimmyJack Says:

This needs to happen it’s not even a question.

  4. Buccanr1 Says:

Joe just set the record for most rhetorical questions ever to make up one story.

  5. JimmyJack Says:

How is it asinine to bring a 8-10 sack player to the team?

  6. Joeypoppems Says:

I hate the idea of giving up any draft picks. We are desperate tho…

  7. tmaxcon Says:

    JimmyJack

playing on the same line with cancer83 instantly turns him into a 2 to 4 sack guy closer to social security than his prime. guaranteed if they bring back Bennett he will have less than 5 sacks.

  8. Buccaneer scotty Says:

Pass on this over the hill punk no thanks! All you want are guys that are on a aarp would you like a senior discount with that oh by the way let’s give you a huge contract so you don’t do anything for our team we wanted to fix you up for your Social Security and give you one big last check

  9. AlteredEgo Says:

    Nope….build a team not a roster…

  10. Jeagan1999 Says:

Seattle will cut him….then you can get him without giving up anything.

  11. JimmyJack Says:

Tmax…..So you’re basically calling Bennet a b!tch. It would take a real soft ass player for that to happen.

Anyways he had, what?, 9-10 sacks in the one full season he played with GMC so I guess that mean for the first time ever in the history of this board you are wrong about something.

This line needs a guy with some fire that will get us playing angry. If Bennet is that guy they need to get him.

  12. Jeremy Says:

Dude is an absolute nut job. Not the right PERSON

  13. JimmyJack Says:

Ok Scotty….you pass. Who ya getting to play End on this team next year then?

  14. The Buc Realist Says:

Just because someone is taking out the trash does not mean the Bucs have to go get it, or even worse trade something for it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shameful how joe wrote all those stories about “accountability” only to write this and have all the work become meaningless!!!!!!!

I would rather the Bucs run a D-line with only 2 DT then to see that trash come here!!!!!!

I would rather see loser lovie be the head coach, d-coordinator and run the offense before that trash came to Tampa!!!!!!!

    GO Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. JimmyJack Says:

Now he’s trash? Hahahaha……Whatever, the guy gets after the QB. He can make clutch plays……If that’s trash I’ll take it

  16. Waterboy Says:

32 year old player with 2 years left on a reasonably priced contract might be worth a 6th rd draft pick but I wouldn’t give up much more than that for an old player in his last couple of years.

  17. Chris in WA Says:

Chris Baker was part of a Redskins team that made the playoffs and Baker looked good on paper. From what I hear Bennett also doesn’t like to practice as well. If the price is right then bring him but I am cautious.

  18. Jp_09 Says:

If your going to give up draft picks to get a DE then they should be to move up and get Chubb not to bring in a player towards the end of his career

  19. Chris in WA Says:

The Seachickens made the playoffs because while Pete Carroll might be a POS he is a good coach who can squeeze out all available talent from his players. Also the Seachickens know how to sign their starters to second contracts instead of not developing them or letting them go to other teams only to perform there. The Mark Dominik years have set this team so far back and we have been dealing with the results for years now.

  20. John meeks Says:

Tmaxcon, you reply with a statement like that but with no suggestions.this team needs pass rushers and there isn’t alot out there.i can’t imagine the asking price being more than a 4th round which I would give.we have to find someone to rush the passer or this team will suffer again.it can be done, and the time is now to fix this mess of a defensive line.im not attacking you sir,but come on here with suggestions on who can help this team put pressure on a qb instead of the same ol stuff everyday.we know you hate #93,but if you know football come with some names.

  21. Bird Says:

    Joe’s are right.

What else we got. Any rookie we draft won’t be instant impact; rookies rarely do. Noah Spence is big question mark.

He is better then anything we got. Plus there are a few defensive ends out there around 35 that still get to qb.

  22. tmaxcon Says:

    John meeks

Bucs have no shot at any top tier free agents. its a waste of time throwing out names of players that can help this for 2 reasons first, those with a choice will not even consider this franchise and second it does not fit tge glazers business model of build through scrape heap, other teams garbage and injury prone gambles

  23. BucEmUp Says:

No Lineman will get sacks in this defense

  24. Bucsfan951 Says:

Tmaxi being the keyboard toughness guy like always… Did you call your kids today and tell them sorry?

  25. DB55 Says:

I predict both he and Talib will go to NE and prob wins (another) ring.

  26. OrlandoJoe Says:

Terrible idea. Seriously. Why are you so excited about old football players?

  27. Jason Says:

As a diehard Buccaneers fan, and 10 year law-enforcement veteran, I will be extremely disappointed in our team if we bring this knucklehead back. Not saying we have to field a team of angels, but come on, this guy is a proven liar and complete headcase. No thanks! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

  28. John meeks Says:

Tmaxcon, sure the bucs will get a top tier free agent.in fact they will get a couple of them.they have money, and these players are looking for the money to secure there future.will they perform, who the hell knows.

  29. tmaxcon Says:

    John meeks

Not going to happen but keeping hoping.. NO way bucs attract anything but the same ole garbage. Glazers have no intention of fielding a respectable product

  30. OneBucPerson Says:

A draft pick for a guy who will just be a cap casualty anyway? Taking away all the on the field and off the field issues that’s just dumb anyway you cut it.

  31. tmaxcon Says:

4-12 is an extremely optimistic prediction for 2018

  32. ATrain Says:

    GOT TO CHANGE THE LOCKERROOM

the elephant in the room is
NOTHING CHANGES TILL THE LOSING ATTITUDE IS GONE

  33. Arealbucsfan Says:

    He’ll be released. Jus wait

  34. JimmyJack Says:

You guys that don’t want Bennett are out of your minds. The next best option is Clayborn. Or maybe you’ll just be crossing your fingers that we will draft an instant impact guy and Spence makes it with his bum shoulder.

Mo Wilkerson is worth a look. But there’s a good chance he fails an interview he should get and the Bucs decide to pass.

  35. John meeks Says:

Jason, this team is in no shape to be talking about knuckleheads and liars.we need pass rushers now.this city is sick of being the laughing stock of the league.if a guy can rush the passer, our gm better get him in here or he can get his ass down the road!

  36. JimmyJack Says:

Tmax is wrong again….I thought you were always right every time? What happened.

DJax was a top tier free agent and the Bucs were his first choice.

  37. Ndog Says:

Nothing more than a 6th round pick. He’s a off field distraction, old and expensive if traded for.

  38. John meeks Says:

Onebucperson,he may be a capcasualty but what makes you think other teams don’t need a passrusher?you have to be aggressive in this off-season being it’s a bad year talent wise and go get the players.you can’t wait around and assume anything.you fix this mess and in order to do that, you get aggressive and make it happen!

  39. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Of course they are shopping him around before releasing him. If they trade him, they get rid of all his dead cap space.

If they release him and someone signs him, they only get rid of the amount the new team pays him.

DO NOT TRADE FOR HIM!!!!!!! He will be available in two weeks!

  40. JimmyJack Says:

How is he a cap casualty? Didn’t I read that we had like 70million spare dollars hanging around? We might need a mathematician to help figure this one out.

  41. John meeks Says:

Guys,we can debate this all night, but the fact is this team will not win until we can get some pass rushers in here.the gm created this mess by ignoring the defensive line for four years, now if he wants to fix it,rest assured you are gonna have to take a few gambles,be aggressive, and use some high picks in the draft.

  42. Joe Says:

bringing back players that we have already lost with is asinine and exactly why 4-12 is optimistic for next year.

Last time Bucs won 10 games, Bennett was starting. But, yeah, who needs 8.5 sacks (or better) when the same guy is also good on the run when you’ve got Will Gholston. He’s good for 11 losses and no sacks. Or how about Will Clarke? Yeah, he just screams “Super Bowl!”

Pass on this over the hill punk no thanks!

If 8.5 sacks is “over the hill” what do you call the current Bucs DEs? “Neverbeens?”

Dude is an absolute nut job.

Welcome to the land of NFL defensive ends. They all have screws loose.

I would rather the Bucs run a D-line with only 2 DT then to see that trash come here!!!!!!

So you are the guy who celebrates double-digit loss seasons!

Terrible idea. Seriously. Why are you so excited about old football players?

Eh, Joe has thing for production. :::shrugs::: Guilty as charged.

A draft pick for a guy who will just be a cap casualty anyway?

If he hits the open market, there is no guarantee at all he comes to Tampa Bay. You trade for him, he’s yours.

  43. John meeks Says:

Jimmyjack,he maybe a capcasualty because of the Seahawks salary cap,not bucs.

  44. WillieG Says:

No. No. No. We had enough veteran free agency turds last year (Baker, Ward). We do NOT need 2 players (Bennet, Talib) who will screw up the locker room at the first sign of adversity. They will be turds, mark my words.

  45. JimmyJack Says:

Meeks, Totally agree with you. And we need legit pass rushers. I’m expecting Licht to make a big move at that position this year.

I doubt our defense will be able to close out games if we just sit on our hands.

  46. Joe Says:

No. No. No. We had enough veteran free agency turds last year (Baker, Ward). We do NOT need 2 players (Bennet, Talib) who will screw up the locker room at the first sign of adversity. They will be turds, mark my words.

Please explain in detail how Bennett and Talib will “screw up the locker room” when these guys have rings? How exactly did these two torpedo their teams? Please bring some facts to the table. Joe really wants to know.

If screwing up a locker room means getting a team to a Super Bowl, well hells bells, let’s get it on!

  47. JimmyJack Says:

Dang Joe came with his guns loaded on this issue. Keep pushing for this guy Joe.

  48. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

Due to licht and his horrible personnel moves the past 4 years and his inability to build a franchise with any sense of an identity the bucs are forced to look at this race baiting fraud who may be done as a top edge guy, the bucs are close though, close to a new GM and cosch

  49. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I do not think he is a punk. So he took a knee during the anthem. After Trump opened his mouth, most of the players in the NFL did.

The only way I would agree to a trade for him is giving only that compensatory 7th rounder…the one that is just before Mr Irrelevant.

His cap hit this year is $8,387,500. That’s not bad, because I think he has at least 1-2 years left in the tank, and he’s mostly been healthy.

At spotrac, I’m looking at his financials.

    2019 – Cap Hit: $8,737,500 Dead Cap: $3,475,000
2020 – Cap Hit: $10,237,500 Not Worth It at 34-35 years old. Dead Cap: $1,737,500

I’ll bend a little. It MIGHT be worth trading that late 7th for him and locking him up for 3 years. After this season, it would not cost much to release him.

  50. LakeLand Says:

It depends on what the Seahawks want for him.I would give up one of the 6th round picks. And that’s it, nothing else.

  51. Defense Rules Says:

I wouldn’t trade for a 32-year-old Bennett. If he’s released by Seattle, different story. Then it’d be worth at least asking a few questions. At the right price, bringing him back to Tampa could work.

  52. godzilla13 Says:

Who could even believe just a year ago that there could actually be a chance to have two former Bucs return to a team that can turn that 5-11 record to 12-4 with just the additions of a few key players? Two of the three priorities for this club are DE and CB. Michael Bennett has consistently been among the very best players in the league over the past six years, averaging 8 sacks a year. He plays very well both as a pass-rusher and against the run. It’s the level of consistency that makes Bennett such a great match for the Buccaneers current needs, not to mention his current contract is just over $7,000,000 a year. All of this and the fact that Bennett is close with Gerold McCoy is a situation which the Bucs can not pass up. Heck, Bennett and Talib sounds so good. Unforgivable if our GM does not sign at least one if not both. Right the ship.

  53. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I also do not think he would be a locker room issue. Nothing like Baker and Ward. Totally different situation.

He was fine when he was here before, and given the atmosphere at one buc, I would expect that to be the case now.

  54. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

However, Talib is out for me. He just is not that good anymore.

  55. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Defense Rules Says
“I wouldn’t trade for a 32-year-old Bennett. If he’s released by Seattle, different story. Then it’d be worth at least asking a few questions.”

I was thinking that too, but then looking at Spotrac, it would be cheaper to trade for him. Sign him as a free agent, and it will cost probably $12-$15m the first year. We could have him for under $9m in a trade…and he would be locked in for 3 years…with the option of cutting him with little cap hit after the first year here.

Looking at it that way, trading for him might be smarter.

  56. LakeLand Says:

How many 6th round picks has Jason Licht hit on?
I will give Seattle a 6th round pick.

  57. LakeLand Says:

He might not choose the Bucs if he is released. If the Bucs trade for him, he will have to play for Tampa or retire.

  58. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    godzilla13 Says:
“not to mention his current contract is just over $7,000,000 a year.”

    2018 $8,387,500
    2019 $8,737,500
    2020 $10,237,500

But the Dead Cap space would be very low from 2019 on.

  59. Joe Says:

who may be done as a top edge guy

Someone has to teach Joe how 8.5 sacks means a guy is “done.”

Talib is out for me. He just is not that good anymore

Wouldn’t argue, but then again just remembered Ryan Smith is a starting corner.

    Bring on Talib.

  60. JimmyJack Says:

Lakeland if Licht gets Bennett for a sixth rounder I’m doing the Irish jig down Dale Mabry!

  61. Hawaiian Buc Says:

I really don’t like when people try to judge someone when they’ve never met him. I have met Bennett several times, and he’s always been super cool. He lives in Hawaii in the offseason and does an unbelievable amount of community service there (I hear he does a lot in Seattle as well). If you think he’s washed up, that’s fine. You may be right. However, the majority of you don’t like him because he isn’t a yes sir type of person. He speaks his mind, and because it doesn’t line up with what you believe (or want to believe). That is more of a you problem.

  62. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    admin Says:
“Wouldn’t argue, but then again just remembered Ryan Smith is a starting corner. Bring on Talib.”

Well, if it comes to that, hard to argue your point. But there are 2-3 better CB options that will be available in Free Agency…not to mention drafting one on day 2.

Plus, I think Grimes is returning. (I hope)

  63. LakeLand Says:

    JimmyJack

I might give them both 6th round picks. The Bucs need Bennett bad.

  64. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Seahawks might take the 7th just to get him off the books. Hard to believe anyone else would trade for him knowing he’ll be a free agent in two weeks.

  65. Lamarcus Says:

Bucs make a move now. Today.

    I’ll send a 3rd and/or 4th right now. F that

  66. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    LakeLand Says
“I might give them both 6th round picks.”

Bucs only have one 6th rounder. They have two 7ths, thanks to the compensatory pick.

  67. JimmyJack Says:

Bennett and Wilkerson coming off the edge……Probably won’t happen but that’s one scarry passrush if your the opposing QB

  68. LakeLand Says:

They have two 6th round picks. One for JJ Wilcox, they trade the 7th round pick for Stevie T during the 2017 draft.

  69. JimmyJack Says:

I’d give em Djax for Bennett…….I don’t think Dirk would be very happy with that though.

  70. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I stand corrected. We do have to 6ths. My bad. Only one 7th now.

  71. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Spence
    McCoy
    Suh
    Bennett

    Now that would be scary.

  72. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    JimmyJack Says
“I’d give em Djax for Bennett…….I don’t think Dirk would be very happy with that though.”

I would be VERY happy with that. We have Godwin to replace Jackson.

  73. LifeOfABucFan Says:

Bonzai..I just got a little weenie with that lineup…that would be deadly…and we need that!!!

  74. QBKilla Says:

A 32 year old Bennett is better than anything we have so I’m all for his return. I wouldn’t give up very much for him though.

  75. Joe Says:

But there are 2-3 better CB options that will be available in Free Agency

    True, but…

“Available” meaning also available to 30 teams besides the Bucs and the team he is leaving.

In a trade, you have the guy’s services. In free agency, it’s a crapshoot.

  76. JimmyJack Says:

Bonzai I’d be cool with that as long as you got better options at Ends for when Spence gets hurt again.

Been hearing that Ayers is good in the pressure dept. but I didn’t see it last year. I’ll admit I didn’t focus on the guy much but put me in the non believer group with Ayers being a good pass rusher.

  77. JimmyJack Says:

The good thing about corners is there are options in free agency and it’s also a deep draft with them.

With DE the options are very slim so trading for a guy like Bennett is more important.

  78. Tony Says:

I would rather go 0-16 then bring back that lying, anthem kneeling whiny player. He lied about being harassed by police. He got his big contract and then sat out a year later because he wanted more money and he is a kneeling idiot.

  79. Brenton Says:

We should just go get a 7th rounder to make sure we get him before he is cut. It also could save us money since he wouldn’t hit the open market.

  80. JimmyJack Says:

The bad thing about corners is that we are all out of Koetter/Smith retreads.

  81. LakeLand Says:

    JimmyJack

How about a 6th for Bennett and the other 6th for Talib.

  82. Jeffbuc Says:

No way the threads in joebucsfan will ever be good again until he rids himself of the cancer tmax. Joe as the owner will never attract free agent bucs fan as long as the cancer doll playing tmax is on this site. And he knows and he doesn’t care. He just keeps dumping all
His resources into joeraysfan. He doesn’t care about joebucsfan. And as long as joe is the owner these threads will always be mediocre. What free agent would want to come to this site and hear tmax talk about how soft everyone is and no one wants to come to this garbage team. So until joe bucs fan gets rid of there owners and trades tmax to the bobbybrownfans website we are hopeless. Joebucsfanfan is a business to joe just to line his pockets so he can make joeraysfan even better. 4-12 comments per post next season max.

  83. JonBuc Says:

Desperation is a stinky cologne. Longing for former Bucs past their primes who left under dubious circumstance is foolhardy. At least bringing Warrick Dunn back meant the team was getting a solid citizen. Talib has 7-8 disparaging nicknames from Joe alone 🙂 ( cabby slapping, helmet swinging, leg shootin’…)

  84. BrianBucs Says:

I agree that this guy never should have left Tampa to start with. Now however, he’s not as young as he use to be and has turned into a real turd. Seattle’s willingness to let him go should tell you that they no longer want him on their team. They will end up cutting him as no team will give up a draft choice for him. Bucs. Stay away

  85. mike10 Says:

haha, no one’s trading for him. They’re going to end up cutting him, you watch.

  86. Joe Says:

    Desperation is a stinky cologne.

That’s true, but that’s where the Bucs stand.

    “Leg-shootin” LOL 🙂

  87. Bucballbaby84 Says:

I want Bennett on our team but if it means giving away draft picks to do it then I don’t agree with it. Trade players I’m fine with it. There are plenty I can think of that we could trade. We’re gonna get Bennett. We’re gonna get aquib talib. Gerald is lobbying for them and guess what Gerald haters??? Gerald gets what Gerald wants! 😁, Whatever Bucs fans that wanna be haters on them do as you shall. As for me I will welcome them with open arms. Also as I said before sign Carlos Hyde and draft a running back in the second round, Take our first pick and trade it with the bills (I’M BORN AND RAISED IN WESTERN NY)for both of their first round picks and use both of those picks on the defensive line. Sign Andrew Norwell.

  88. Oxycondoms Says:

Licht is contemplating the move tonight over 32
Wings and a beer mug with a hole in it

  89. Pa Privateer Says:

Trading him for a late round pick guarantees us a cheaper salary rather than a bidding war with other teams with a much higher salary at the start of FA.

by saving roughly 4-5 million could help us sign a decent CB in FA.

A 5th rounder is totally worth it.

  90. Joe Says:

Trading him for a late round pick guarantees us a cheaper salary rather than a bidding war with other teams with a much higher salary at the start of FA.

    Exactly!

  91. ZK Says:

    Lockeroom cancer

  92. Pickgrin Says:

I say go for it Jason. Offer a 6th rd pick for Bennett. Pa Privateer is correct. It could save a good bit of $ to trade vs bidding for him on the open market.

Wait for Talib though. He will 100% be released and can make his way back here if he really wants to be here – for less than $11M…

A # of other decent CB FA options as well. NONE for DE. Bennett would be the top pass rusher if he hit the open market and might just spark a bidding war.

  93. FortMyersDave Says:

Lakeland makes a great point on sending late day 3 draft picks for Talib and/or Bennett as the Bucs GM and Koetter know they need to get out of the cellar or its Bon Voyage. A long term project or practice squad candidate is not going to help them in 2018 but maybe those guys can contribute…… Licht has nothing to lose so might as well gamble a bit….

  94. USFBUC Says:

Lots of smart comments here, others not so much.

  95. Gman Says:

    No

  96. darin Says:

Man some of you guys dont wana win. Also you’re too shallow to realize this signing would be good for you. It’d give you a reason to bitch all season long. For those of us who know this team is going nowhere without a pass rush…..bring him on Licht! Options are very limited.

  97. feelthepewterpower Says:

Remember: we are paying for future production, not past production. The goal is to find value in free agency and the even trades.

  98. WutdaBucisthis Says:

I agree…make the trade. Give them the 5th round pick.
Ok now…take away the Vegas stunt. Take away the kneeling. What are you left with? A 32yr old player that can still get after it. That’s the gamble…availability. I don’t care about the other stuff as it doesn’t pertain to football.
    FA signings:
    Norwell
    C from Ravens
    SS
    CB
    Mo Wil’
Being these editions along with the Bennett trade and now we’re cooking.
    Draft:
    Mount Vea w 1st
Move up if need be for Key w 2nd
    Best RB w 3rd
    BPA after that

  99. WutdaBucisthis Says:

Sidenote…no to Talib. Better options out there

  100. Costa Rica John Says:

Joe, we might not be able to show you a mugshot of Bennett but he made himself out to be an ass when he ran from the police in Las Vegas then lied about the incident. He lost my respect and I for one don’t care to have him back.

  101. Bucballbaby84 Says:

H… E… double hockey sticks NO TO MO WILKERSON!!! It would be fat swaggy’s return in another body.we just got rid of one dude with no work ethic so why the heck bring another back in to do the exact same thing.

I bet, if the Bucs keep him (and I think they will) Robert Ayers will see vast improvement this year under Buckner.

  103. RawBucFan Says:

Michael Bennett, Aqib Talib & Tyrann Mathieu would make this defense instantly credible. Sign another CB, Resign McDonald, Sign Ealy, Draft Vea & another DE.

  104. Bucsfanman Says:

It cracks me up to read where posters criticize “Mr. Softy, IceCreamMan, Smilin’ Clown” GMC but then turn around and say “no thank you” to a proven, productive winner. A player who would be an upgrade over ALL our DE’s COMBINED.
Anybody hear about this guy, um, Julius something? There was another guy too who was productive long after his “peak”, Dwight someone?!
Yea, lets just keep doing what we’ve been doing for the last decade and avoid bringing in legit talent.

  105. James Craig Marlow Says:

Time to move on from this saga. No looking back!

  106. Crabberbill Says:

Seattle is going to dump him because they need the cap space. If were going to dump Robert Ayres I’d rather have Bennet. We shouldn’t have let him go to start with! McCoy wants him so he should have a say! Make McCoy happy and then draft Vita Vea if Chubb and Nelson are gone. He’s a freak! He can rotate with McCoy and McDonald and play DE too. Hell, put him in at fullback at the goal line. No one can tackle him, lol. Get Norwell and a center in FA and draft a rb in the 2nd. Draft defense with the rest!!

  107. Duke Says:

    Bucsfanman,

    Exactly!

I think if Jesus Christ himself were available as a F.A. for a buck, most of the people here would be against it.
“Questionable hands”, “oh great another messiah who can’t stay healthy”, “yeah, the walking on water thing is cool but it has absolutely nothing to do with “, “too old”. “I’d keep the picks draft 1 Buddha, 2. …”.
