“An absolute nightmare.”
Those words are coming from the mouth of one Kay Adams, co-host of “Good Morning, Football” and perpetual thorn in the side to internationally popular JoeBucsFan.com columnist Ira Kaufman.
Adams, who Ira wants to see much less of in favor of boring, vapid, File-13 empty quotes from dog and pony show press conferences, has high praise for the Bucs. And Adams praises Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht.
Adams, who hasn’t worn her porn glasses in some time, raved about the Bucs signing kicker Chandler Catanzaro last week and believes Catanzaro will finally end what Adams termed a recurring “nightmare” for Tampa Bay. Adams believes the Stick Carriers should be rejoicing in the streets with the signing.
Adams also likes Catanzaro because he likes to hang in St. Lucia.
Joe agrees with Adams to a degree. No, the Joe writing this has never been outside the continental United States so Joe can’t speak to what St. Lucia is like. But Joe senses hope coming from Adams that maybe, just maybe, the merry-go-round of kickers for the Bucs finally comes to a screeching halt with this Catanzaro character.

I don’t buy it. He had one clutch FG last year that he made. The others? He missed (the clutch ones I mean).
Folk had a year without missing XPs before he came to tampa too. And the year before he came to Tampa, he had a better rating than this guy.
So…in short…I will believe it when I see it. And I sure hope they hold onto two kickers this year, just long enough to play it safe.

Hope she is right. I’m pretty apprehensive about Licht going all in on this guy and guaranteeing him almost $4M. Our pro personnel evaluators must have sold this guy hard for that kind of a guarantee. Dude hasn’t exactly been Mr Consistency the last 2 years either. He did make both 50+ attempts last year and I know the leg strength is a big factor in this decision – but he also missed 5 attempts from 40>49yds last year as well.
We shall see… This regime doesn’t exactly have a stellar history of evaluating kickers obviously.

Never been outside the continental United States?! WTH?! The Caribbean (which is in our backyard) contains many different countries and islands that are but a very short plane ride away. Expand your horizons when the NFL has nothing going on like in June and early July.

Those are usually the time Joe goes on baseball trips or non-sports/outside-Florida trips.
What is Joe going to do in the Caribbean, drink beer at a beach bar? Joe can do that on Treasure Island or St. Pete Beach and save loads of cash.
