Licht Pulled A Vito Corleone

March 22nd, 2018

“Look, Gettleman, do I need to bring in Luca Brasi?”

It seems Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht went old school with Giants shot-caller Dave Gettleman in order to get his defensive end.

Kim Jones of the NFL Network apparently talked to new Bucs defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul after the Bucs swung a trade with the G-men to land the USF product and maybe, finally, bring this double-digit sack drought to an end for the Bucs.

Per JPP, the Bucs, Licht in particular, took a page from the notorious fictional mobster Vito Corleone to get JPP.

And Licht didn’t need to bring in Luca Brasi to finish the deal.

Now is a third a bit steep for JPP? Only time will tell. But after missing out on Robert Quinn and Michael Bennett, Joe is very happy Licht didn’t throw in the towel and apparently got his man.

using a clip from one of the greatest movies of all time on a bucs site is a disgrace joe. The Godfather should only be associated with winners not complete and incompetent failures like the buc franchise. shame on you

  2. RLichtsOn Says:

Bucs should not trade up target Guard Nelson or DT Vita Vea in the first round and this team would like like a total 360 from last year

  3. Lord Cornelius Says:

    It’s a glorious day.

    A: 6’5 275 lb DE – 68 tackles / 8.5 sacks 2017 – playing 92% of the defensive snaps – missed 4 total games last 2 seasons
    B: 6’3 250 lb DE- 32 tackles / 8.5 sacks 2017 – playing 58% of the defensive snaps – missed 7 total games last 2 seasons

I can see why player A would be worth more in a trade than player B. But hey someone’s gotta find a reason to hate this right?

  4. BetterBuccinBelieveIt Says:

IT CHANGES THINGS….if we swapped our 7th pick in round 4 …for their 35th pick compensatory selection in round 4 (INSTEAD OF THEIR #2 pick in round 4)…

    Schefter needs to tell us.

    Go Bucs!

  5. Jolly Bucs Fan Says:

a little steep, too steep? I dont think so. This is a balls of steel move by a team that DOES believe it is “Really Close”

Adding a CB/SS in rds 1 or 2 and a Rb in rds 1 or 2. Should immediately make this team a competitor.

Trade down could work out well. Move down a few spots and pick up and extra 2nd or 3rd to use an a LG

  6. LA Bucs Fan Says:

What tmax is trying to say is that Joe should have used a clip from Godfather 3

  7. Fire the Glazers Says:

Why aren’t people pissed??? This is such a bad move… you all watch. I just lost all respect for Jason Licht. I’m ready for John Lynch to replace him

and this team would like like a total 360 from last year

A 360? That would mean that we are right back where we started. haha

Just busting chops man. I know what you meant and agree

  9. Evolvingbucfan Says:

    Finally a Ploy for Mccoy

  10. AlteredEgo Says:

This opens up the option to take an offensive player at 7 or the freedom to trade down…. which is what they REALLY should do !

  11. LakeLand Says:

The guy makes over twice as much as Michael Bennett. And they could have gotten Bennett for a 4th or 5th. Now they’re on the books for $40 million for the next 3 seasons. Plus it cost them a 3rd round draft pick and a swap for the 4th round picks. I hope it work out.

  12. LakeLand Says:

JPP isn’t worth a 3rd round draft pick and $13 million a season.

  13. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

What other 3rd round pick are we going to get that rush the passer like JPP?

  14. Dooshlarue Says:

The Licht haters are very quiet right now.

    Lakeland
    Mike Johnson
    Others?

  15. SteveK Says:

    Very happy with this move!

Give up a 3 and move up six spots from 108 to 102 in the 4th while acquiring a DE that must be considered in opponents game plan. I am very happy with this move.

Now trade GMC to OAK for a 2 and sign Suh!

  16. Bucsfan951 Says:

Funny. I was calling for licht’s head a week and a half ago. Now I love this dude! If he could find a trade down partner and pick up the lost third round pick, I might crown this dude king! Very good move. Fix the trenches, fix the Bucs. I am a very excited and happy guy today 😉

  17. Dave Pear Says:

We got a 3 fingered discount.

  18. DB55 Says:

A third isn’t too much. A 4th would have been ideal but beggars can’t be choosers

  19. DanBucsFan Says:

It is a glorious day indeed. I remember when we all were upset how we missed on Quinn, I stated on here that i just renewed my season tickets and we all need to push the reset button and think positive about our future, the past is the past. Come on fans lets get around this move and get fired up, even you Tmaxon you can do it! Go BUCS

  20. DB55 Says:

Now trade GMC to OAK for a 2 and sign Suh!
    ————
I like the way you’re thinking Steve. I like it a lot.

  21. DanBucsFan Says:

If u are upset… Your dumb and delusional

  22. DB55 Says:

    And bring back Robert Ayers.

  23. AlteredEgo Says:

He’ll be worth every penny if he can knock the QB’s on their ass ! This gives the Bucs GREAT flexibility on draft day!!!!!

  24. LakeLand Says:

The Bucs can’t get nothing higher than a 4th round pick for GMC. All GMs are not that dumb.

  25. Ed Says:

JPP is fast and will be fun to watch. I like the move because teams will sometimes be double teaming JPP and perhaps McCoy will improve his game

  26. The Buc Realist Says:

It seems like it was the best move for a GM that has been boxed in by the owners!!!!! The owners seemed determine to get a certain DT into the ring of honor and not building a “real” D-line!!!!!

Making the team do the reality show, letting the regime to playout the last year of a contract with out extension, and allowing some old players to be considered untouchable are really great ways to put up obstacles for their own team to be successful on the field!!!!!!!

All in, its not even close!!!!! The d-line is better today, but what about tomorrow???????

    Go Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. Capt Kidd Says:

BetterBucinBelieveit, I believe it has to be the 2nd rd pick in the 4th cuz I don’t think you can trade comp picks

  28. John meeks Says:

Great move!this will help our defense!welcome home jpp!

  29. Lord Cornelius Says:

Ideally – if top 3 guys we like + 3 QBs go:

    12 – Marcus Davenport DE

new late 1st rounder – Joshua Jackson – CB

2nd – Derrius Guice or Sony Michel – RB

    3rd – Austin Corbertt/ Frank Ragnow / Will Clapp – OG

    4th – BJ Hill DT

    5/6/6 = RB/DE/S

  30. Destinjohnny Says:

    Scout not a gm

  31. Tval Says:

Goodfellas, casino, & Donnie Branco are REAL mafia movies. The Godfather trilogy were glorified, mafia approved, fluff films. Don’t mess with just aka “lefty”…who actually lived out his years. Great signing!! Go get Saquon/ nelson/Derwin and bpa

  32. Tval Says:

    Don’t mess w jpp (left) 🙂

  33. Lord Cornelius Says:

    @Realist

The D-line of tomorrow will come from the draft. I will be super disappointed if we do not select at least one DE in the top 2 rounds; and one DT in the top 5 rounds

Trading down is starting to look ideal to me. I like too many prospects on the D-line

  34. AntCam Says:

    U can’t trade compensatory picks

  35. Lord Cornelius Says:

hm the formatting I used deleted trades i had in that random worthless mock but oh well

  36. The Graham Tram Says:

This is how you fix a problem. Good job Bucs

  37. Jeffbuc Says:

Boo hoo I’m done being a fan are gm just traded a 3rd pick for a pro bowl defensive end. We could have got some unproven talent with that pick. Quit crying it was a great pickup. Chubb won’t have the sacks that jpp has over the next 3 years book that and he is going top 5. You people are mad because your selfish and now you will have to watch the 3rd of the draft with no Bucs picks. He is not worth the money blah blah. It’s not your money and we are always on great shape with the cap and have been losing. And you guys call are owners cheap. Now we spend money and we are spending to much. Being in great cap shape hasn’t worked out well the last ten years. Let’s try spending it all and being strapped but having more talent for once.

  38. gman Says:

This is a good move…addressed an obvious need and lets the fan base know that we are not in a rebuilding situation. Also give us more flexibility for the draft…..take Fitzpatrick in the 1st round and one of the Georgia RBs in the 2nd and we should be drastically improved over the next couple of years.

  39. 98bucsfan Says:

Everyone saying trade McCoy for suh… y’all have problems. McCoy is the ONLY one on the line that produced last year and from hearing from multiple people, duh sounds like he’s gonna hurt more than help us. Dude was a locker room cancer. GIVE IT UP

  40. DB55 Says:

Now you can draft Davenport as jpp’s protégé.

  41. Pawel Says:

I can’t believe some of you here, definitely not bucs fans. This is a good move for a proven rusher and now watch, 100% we trade down to get our draft picks.

  42. oar Says:

More like Clemenza….”The negotiator’s at my house playing pinochle with some of my men, he’s happy. They’re letting him win.”

  43. BetterBuccinBelieveIt Says:

    🙂 🙂

    @Capt Kidd….

You CLEARLY DIDN’T read my prior post on the other threads this morning!!

I clearly stated that the NFL changed the rule 2 years ago (at Belichick’s and other front office executives behest)….and THEY ARE NOW allowed to TRADE compensatory selections..

🙂 Be careful when trying…to correct some things. It’s not like I would throw that out there…incorrectly.

    Go Bucs!

  44. 813bucboi Says:

    @realist

what are you b!tching about?…….licht has added “TALENT” and “DEPTH” along the dline…..and he’s done the same thing with the oline……

do you have faith in this staff?…..they have talent and depth to work with…..they are 2 respected guru’s……

everybody cant be a 1st round pick…..what more do you want?……

the pressures on dirk and smitty now!!!!!!

    #NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!!!…..NOPASSESIN2018!!!!!…..GO BUCS!!!!!

  45. Mike Johnson Says:

Optimistic but not hyped. Not with this bunch. Lets see the product perform on the field first. Remember now..when you fans got hyped last year? Good move. Had to give up a 3rd rder so the 1st 2 picks better be good. Again, No excuses Koetter and Smitty. You got some nice tools. Now lets see how you use them!

  46. Destinjohnny Says:

I think Derwin james will be the pick

  47. BetterBuccinBelieveIt Says:

    @Capt Kidd………..

    🙂

    See below….

    http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/14274468/nfl-owners-ok-compensatory-pick-trading-2017

    Go Bucs!

  48. lokog Says:

but in madden i signed suh

  49. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

I think that this is a great trade that addresses a major need and won’t force us to reach on a “raw” DE at 7. You can argue that maybe he over payed a little, but weren’t we all just lambasting Licht for not making a better offer to secure Quinn.

And as LC has already posted. JPP stats and snap totals from 2017 blow Quinn’s away.

Now I’m actually hoping that the Big 3 are gone and that we can acquire additional picks. All things considered I am completely behind this move.

  50. darin Says:

I give licht props for getting a pass rusher. But if he has a higher grade on jpp than quinn fire him now. Wow. No 3rd for quinn but yes for jpp. Unreal. Do like the pick up tho. Better team than they were yesterday

  51. LakeLand Says:

JPP hasn’t made a Pro Bowl in 5 seasons….Michael Bennett has made the Pro Bowl the last 3 seasons. JPP is an average DE at best. Michael Bennett is an above average DE. And the Eagles got Bennett for a lot less.

JPP makes over twice as much as Michael Bennett

There is NO way JPP is worth $13 million a year

Only the Bucs are DUMB enough to pay him this kind of money

And give up the 69th drat pick for him

    This makes Zero sense

Like Dave Gettleman said…This was a deal they couldn’t refuse

  52. Lord Cornelius Says:

Maybe realist wanted us to not sign anyone and go green on the DL just to have more excuses.

We had a sh1t ton of cap space even with re-signing our own. We have tons of flexibility to drop contracts going forward. I laid out $50 million the other day in guys we will likely move on from in the next 1-2 years.

    SUPER flexible. NO CAP ISSUES.

No reaosn to not attack FA AND the draft. A 3rd is not the end of the world and totally worth the risk here considering we used a 2nd on a f*cking Kicker recently.

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  53. Alstott up the gut Says:

The more you think about it, how are we not targeting the secondary in the draft? Unless Nelson falls, see if Bills will come to 7 first and get picks back.

  54. SteveK Says:

    Lakeland,

Bennett is older and much more distracting off the field. I would’ve still traded for him, but he’s a headache.

  55. Jmcorr Says:

Joe first I want to say love your website I read every day at least 4 or 5 times a day. This is maybe the 2nd time I have ever commented. I think this was a great move for this team and those that are complaining ALL the time tmaxipad are not true fans. I read everyone’s comments and yes you have a right to complain I was upset and have been for many years. It is a new season and not sure why some are even so called “fans”. If all you want to do is cry go find a new team. Your rhetoric is boring and same over and over maxipad. Today is a day to be happy for our team. We made some good moves and this was a great one. Keep doing your thing joe love it and tmax isn’t it time to change that pad???

  56. DB55 Says:

Cherry on top – another SB champion.

Now just get rid of the cancer loser McSmilesAlot #ULikeThat

  57. LakeLand Says:

    ***69th draft pick***

  58. bucs_365 Says:

I smell a trade down. Somebody wanna come up to 7 and give us a replacement for that 3rd round pick? Cuz we still need picks… We have to get a CB and a RB out of this draft. We could use a young DE and another safety.

Alternatively, the JPP move means we’re not desperate to draft a DE in round 1. Could this mean we’d be comfortable drafting Derwin James at 7?

  59. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

    @Lakeland

So suddenly meaningless Probowl selections are what is important to you?

  60. NFLNut Says:

    ****************************

    GREAT TRADE!

I’d take JPP over Robert Quinn 100% of the time as Quinn is more an OLB than a true DE … he’s even listed as a LB on the Dolphins site and at 250 pounds is awfully light for a DE.

Also, JPP is only 16 months older than Quinn but is WAY MORE PRODUCTIVE!

    LAST 2 SEASONS:

ROBERT QUINN: 42 Tackles, 12.0 sacks, 4 Forced Fumbles

JPP: 121 Tackles, 15.0 sacks, 5 Forced Fumbles

To basically only give up the equivalent of a mid 3rd round pick to land JPP is a GREAT MOVE by Jason Licht imho!

    ****************************

  61. Lord Cornelius Says:

    @Lakeland

Comon dude. Probowl is a joke / popularity contenst. JPP Is 3 years younger than Bennet who is about to fall off a cliff any day for all we know. And no: he is not worse than Bennet.

Just look at the last 2 years; with JPP having 1 more game played in that time:

    JPP: 15 sacks / 5 FF / 13 passes defended / – 121 tackles

    Bennet: 13.5 sacks / 0 FF / 1 pass defended / – 74 tackles

How is Bennet above average and JPP average considering the above?

  62. LakeLand Says:

    NFLNut,

So the JPP trade is better than the Michael Bennett trade?

  63. LakeLand Says:

There’s not a rankings in America that has JPP ranked ahead of Michael Bennett. You can search the Internet for forever and you won’t find one……not one

  64. LakeLand Says:

So now the 69th pick is a Mid 3rd Round pick.

  65. LakeLand Says:

Now we know why this team is a perennial Bottom Feeder

  66. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

“Now is a third a bit steep for JPP?”

Heck no! JPP is our new Simeon Rice. This man has had up to 16.5 sacks in a single season! 8.5 last year.

    I LOVE this trade!

I haven’t heard anything about JPP even being on the trading block. Goes to show that when we don’t see everything JASON LICHT HAD A PLAN.

    ^^BINGO^^

for some strange reason, he wants to give this staff a 2year pass on top of the year pass he just gave them…..lol…..

its all on dirk and smitty now!!!!!….they have talent….they have depth…..would you agree?…..

    #NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!!!….NOPASSESIN2018!!!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!!!

  68. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

Lakeland, I get it man, the bucs have been brutal to us for the better part of a decade man. But don’t just blindly hate on things because of that.

When you poo poo about Licht bringing in a proven pass rusher like Jason Pierre-Paul for a 3rd rounder, all you do is destroy your credibility.

No Edge prospect in the 2018 draft that you can get in the 3rd round that’s going to be better than JPP I can assure you of that.

  69. BuccaneEric75 Says:

AntCam, you CAN trade compensatory picks. The NFL changed that rule.

  70. 813bucboi Says:

    Lakeland

the JJP trade was good…..added talent and depth…..JJP and Bennett sounds better than JJP and curry but at least we got a proven DE that had more than 3sacks last year……

at worst, licht is building depth for the next coaching staff…..if he drafts well again this year, he’ll stay……we don’t make the playoffs this year, dirk and smitty are gone…..it’s all on coaching now, IMO……

    #NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!!!….NOPASSESIN2018!!!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!!!

  71. BritishColumbiaBuc Says:

If this season tanks, fire the coaches; not Licht. Licht wheel and deals the draft, and we will end up with more picks. I guarantee it. Nice move by a good GM today.

  72. DB55 Says:

Where was all this love for jpp 2years ago? 2 yrs ago when he was a fa and had the thing with his hand ya said he was just another thug. What hahahappened?

  73. Vico Says:

This also means we’re playing 4-3.

  74. SOEbuc Says:

Round 1. If not Nelson, then SS Derwin
    Round 2. CB

OH MY HOLY SNAP! I think Buckner is a good coach and trust his scouting the guys he can best work with. Then Derwin or Fitzpatrick and a CB in the second. D could be going from worst to first.

Or how bout trading back for Vita Vea and have him rotating and learning from future HOF GMC and Beau Allen, who Vinny Curry calls the smartest player in football. That’d be a nasty fresh line. Get Ayers back. BOOM!!!

    UPDATED MOCK:

    BROWNS: SAM DARNOLD
GIANTS: JOSH ROSEN (I think they turned down Jets offer as they want a QB)
    JETS: BAKER MAYFIELD
BILLS (trade with Browns): JOSH ALLEN
    BRONCOS: QUENTON NELSON
    COLTS: BRADLEY CHUBB
    BUCCANEERS: SAQUON BARKLEY

If however, Saquon/Chubb/Nelson are all off the board, the last remaining of the top 4 QBs will still be there and we SHOULD try to trade down. For example, perhaps the Bills can’t trade up into the top 6 and the Browns grab Saquon Barkley at #4 … Josh Allen would still be on the board and we could trade the #7 to the Bills for the #12, #22 and #96.

We have a ton of options now:

    STAND-PAT OPTIONS:

#7 Saquon, Nelson, Chubb, Minkah, Ward or Derwin – THAT’S IT!
#38 Will Hernandez, Arden Key, Nick Chubb, Ronnie Harrison, etc.
#102 RJ McIntosh, Tony Brown, Josh Sweat, DeShone Elliott, etc.
#144 Chad Thomas, Kendrick Norton, Holton Hill, Kyzir White, etc.
#180 Bo Scarborough, Roc Thomas, JC Jackson, etc.
    #202 DJ Reed
    #255 BPA

I LIKE: Saquon, Hernandez, McIntosh, Thomas, Jackson, Reed and BPA

    TRADE w/ BILLS OPTIONS:

#12 Derwin, Davenport, Vea, Payne, Joshua Jackson, McGlinchey, etc.
#22 Guice, Payne, Bryant, Joshua Jackson, Mike Hughes, Sam Hubbard, etc
#38 Will Hernandez, Arden Key, Nick Chubb, Ronnie Harrison, etc.
#96 Derrick Nnandi, Harrison Phillips, Frank Ragnow, Anthony Averett, etc
#102 RJ McIntosh, Tony Brown, Josh Sweat, DeShone Elliott, etc.
#144 Chad Thomas, Kendrick Norton, Holton Hill, Kyzir White, etc.
#180 Bo Scarborough, Roc Thomas, JC Jackson, etc.
    #202 DJ Reed
    #255 BPA

I LIKE: Derwin, Guice, Hernandez, Nnandi, Brown, Thomas, JC, Reed, BPA

I WISH THE DRAFT WAS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  77. CalBucsFan Says:

Thank you Licht, now trade up one spot and get Barkley!

  78. JWick Says:

you guys keep forgetting about his remaining contract smh

  79. NFLNut Says:

    ******************

LAKELAND, I believe the Eagles pulled off the better trade but that the Bucs certainly got the better player at this stage of JPP’s and Bennett’s career.

I’d take JPP over Bennett for sure at this stage of their careers but the Bucs certainly had to give up a lot more draft capital to get him than they could have used to get Bennett. Regardless, with JPP and Curry the team certainly is not “tanking” and is going all-in to win now and is indeed improved.

I also would take JPP 100% of the time over Robert Quinn as a 4-3 DE … JPP’s production over the past 2 years is vastly better and he’s a legit DE whereas Quinn is more of an OLB as he’s small … and JPP is only a year older.

Also, to anyone who thinks this trade means the Giants are going to draft Bradley Chubb … IT DOES NOT.

In fact, I doubt they are even considering Chubb at #2. They are moving to a 3-4 and Chubb is a 4-3 DE … I think the Giants go QB, Nelson, Saquon or trade down.

    *******************

  80. Jason Mclaurin Says:

Reminds me of when we got Simeon Rice. With the Giants, JPP was used as the only pass rusher in Tampa Bay the whole line will be focused on rushing the QB which will open up more sacks for JPP

  81. NFLNut Says:

    **************

An interesting question is what will the Bucs do if the 4 QBs, Saquon and Nelson all go in the top 6 and Bradley Chubb is the guy still on the board at #7 … do they take him or pass on him for a guy like Minkah?

I’d still take Chubb and give the team an insane 4-DE rotation of JPP/Chubb/Curry/Spence … that could be the biggest one year turnaround in a DE rotaion in NFL history from the sorry group we had in 2017 to THAT dynamic foursome in 2018 …

    **************

  82. XpfcWintergreen2 Says:

Was the price too high for JPP?

Maybe Licht did not want to indulge in any bidding wars for Quinn, Bennett or JPP. If the Giants are going to draft Bradley Chubb as the New York Post have suggested, then maybe we made the best deal possible. Free agency and trades are all about negotiation.

    ____________
    Let’s bring in Suh!

Maybe teams won’t be able to double-team McCoy as often this year because they have to think about some of our other guys. Maybe, GMC’s career will be extended by a couple of years now. Just maybe he will be able to retire with a Superbowl ring after all. (Naw! What crazy idea. Winning is not what it is all about anyway.)

Besides, Suh is well known for his “team first!” attitude. It would really be stupid for Licht to pass on this opportunity to acquire him.

    _______________
    Go Bucs!!!

  83. Tony from L.A. Says:

    Solid move.
    Been saying it all year.
    Fix the trenches.
And the Bucs – finally – are doing so.

Still more work to be done.
Grab another DE and another interior offensive lineman with those first two picks and the Bucs will have done what I’ve been shouting all offseason…

FIX THE TRENCHES, FIX THE BUCS!!

  84. AlteredEgo Says:

of course they take Chubb @7 if he is there….JPP is on the back 1/2 of his career….the Bucs really need a QB feeding frenzy going on ahead of them on draft day

  85. NFLNut Says:

    ^ Amen to that!

  86. louis Says:

Joe, why is T-max and his antagonistic posts on a fan driven website even allowed by you? The only thing he adds to the format is negativity. He bad mouths everyone and his comments are not pro buccaneer. Evidently his pad needs changing. I wonder who he actually roots for?

  87. Tbbucs3 Says:

Ya Joe, we’re all getting tired of T-Max’s negative agenda driven post that just beat a dead horse over and over. Clearly just an Internet troll.

Unlike a select few on this site, I have no agenda when it comes to the Bucs. I criticize Jason Licht when he makes moves that I don’t like and applaud him when he makes good moves.

In this case with JPP, well done Licht.

  88. Kobe Faker Says:

I’m going to keep preaching this what are draft pick used for? To net quality to filled needs and improve your team. I’m not a fan of JPP but he is a good player that fill a need for 2-3 years. And that what a third rounder pick should be a starter

  91. XpfcWintergreen2 Says:

I was a bit hasty in my remarks regarding the NYG taking Chubb with the 2nd pick. Looks like they are going to overhaul their defensive line and go to a 3-4 scheme under their new regime.

However, they might be looking to replace Manning (15 years in the league) and they might choose a QB after all.

    Go Bucs!!!!

  92. Kobe Faker Says:

Giants didnt accept jets offers for #2….they are going 100% QB

They will never get a #2 draftpick for a long time ever

  93. NFLNut Says:

^ I said the same right after the Jets traded with the Colts … if the Giants passed on THAT offer to draft an OG or RB, they should fire their GM immediately.

  94. Dave Says:

They improve their fourth round pick by six spots. Basically someone a relevant. So they gave up a third for a guy who should get 8 sacks from the DE position. Every single fan out there should take that all day long.

JPP has a motor and His stats are much better than Michael Bennett over the last two seasons, and he is three years younger. JPP has done that on a depleted line and bad secondary the last two years.

Those wishing we got Bennett instead are JPP haven’t paid attention.
Tells me the giants might be picking Chubb.
If that is the case the books will probably end up with Minkah or Derwin or a possible trade down if a QB is still available.
