Report: Stafford Expected To Start

December 10th, 2017

Status update.

A guy with the cell phone numbers of the power brokers of the NFL has the latest on Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the injured Lions signal-caller is expected to take the field today when the Bucs host the Lions at the Den of Depression.

@RapSheet: After seeing his throwing hand improve by the day, Lions QB Matthew Stafford is expected to start on Sunday vs. the Bucs, source said, barring an unforeseen setback.

Stafford is one tough SOB but as Joe will have later this morning, when he has been on an injury report — he was questionable for today’s game on Friday’s injury report — Stafford has been human.

Lol watch this defense make him look like vintage Warren Moon. We’ll probably give up 150 yards rushing and a couple touchdowns because the Lions have struggled on the ground all year. And as we all know, the 2017 Buccaneers have been the cure for what ails you.

Bodes well for the Bucs and their unexpectedly high 2018 first round draft pick. Can’t wait to see the carnage. Fire the coach er cannons! Go Bucs lol!

    350 yards passing
    6 different WR

I expect Stafford to have HOF numbers today.

Going out on a limb here: Bucs will beat the Lions today (the crystal ball isn’t showing the final score though). Bucs run game came alive last week & allowed the Bucs to keep the ball for 37 mins TOP in regulation. Plus Koetter finally emphasized the short passing game & it worked quite well. Our defense gets Robert Ayers back, which should help, and we’ve been playing decent defense at home. Probably gonna be an ugly game, but it’s more winnable than the following three against NFC South teams.

Anyone that writes Stafford off without seeing him play is an idiot. I hope his game is off…then the Bucs have a good chance. If not…. could be just another Sunday this year.

  7. Hodad Says:

Getting Robert Ayers back won’t make a difference, because he’ hasn’t been a difference maker since he played for the Giants. I guess getting Martin back will improve our running game too? LoL. Don’t forget our pro bowl tackle Gerry, he’ll be wrecking havoc all day as Koetter likes to mention. Remember that sack he got at G.B. last week to help us win in over time? Me neither.

D Rules…Detroit has some beef up the middle. So I guess you foresee Sims having a great day. Let’s hope so.

I have 0% confifence in my Buc team. Watch Stafford ink out a win..bad hand and all!
