“Joe Dirt” Gets Promoted

December 12th, 2017

Officially available

Now we’re talking!

In this toilet-flush of a season, a bright spot was the comedic value of undrafted rookie linebacker Riley Bullough, a Tampa Bay start of Hard Knocks.

The kid was seen on HBO hammering blocking sleds and yelling “F U” after each shot. And Bullough was acting like the captain of the entire defense while playing with the third-teamers in practice and in preseason. The dude was driven and coaches noticed.

Bullough was nicknamed “Joe Dirt” by teammates because of his overall look and flowing locks. (He since got a haircut. But his angered mom, as seen on Hard Knocks, expressed her annoyance at the name and believed her son looked more like Fabio.

Priceless!

Bullough, no surprise, was cut and landed on the practice squad. In fact, the Bucs paid him more than the practice squad minimum salary. Today, Bullough officially has been promoted to the 53-man roster.

Congratulations! Just in time for Monday Night Football, though there’s a chance Bullough will not be active for the game.

As inept as the Bucs have been blitzing, Joe hopes Bullough plays and is allowed to come with his hair on fire at Matt Ryan. Now that would be entertaining.

    Happy for the kid….

  2. Roy T. Buford Says:

Are those actual torsos? Derrick Books would be proud!

There is a good chance if he plays he cards right with hard work off season, and assuming coaching changes especially, this kid gets an honest shot as a legitimate backup as a solid member of the 53. Get nose for the ball Joe Dirt and you’re golden!

  3. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

Lol, the kid is going to get absolutely lit up if he gets on the field.

Just flat out does not have to wheels to play Line backer in the NFL.

  4. Roy T. Buford Says:

Oh, and BTW, as I remember from Hard Knocks, the kid’s dad is loaded…like multiple millions….so while anyone wants to make their own fortune, this guy probably doesn’t wait to get haircuts due to lack of money.

  5. DB55 Says:

Is he taking over for Bond?

Team is going to field 22 udfa rookies

  6. Mike Johnson Says:

Actually luved this kid. He’s got the energy tp play in this league.Hope he’s learned coverage and assignments while on the practice squad. Cause he was missin assignments left and right on HBO. Hell, might as well let the fans have a little fun…they need it!

  7. 813bucboi Says:

  8. Bucs4821 Says:

If all of them played with his heart and enthusiasm they wouldn’t be 4-9.

  9. darin Says:

I wish he got called up to be the new defensive coordinator.

  10. Jeagan1999 Says:

Glad for him! Blitz him all night long and see what the kid has got!

What he lacks in speed, he makes up for in Football Instincts and sheer desire.

They’re so predictable aren’t they? Smh

  18. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

    @StAugBuc

I see you have one ability as well. The ability to be just as dumb as you are corny.

  19. Tampa Bay Tailgater Says:

The way he hit those sleds and his shoes issues could make him one he11 of aedge rusher in a 3-4 format. Given the injury to gmac this is likely where’s he will play.

  20. Tampa Bay Tailgater Says:

    ^^^LB Speed issues^^^

  21. DanBucsFan Says:

Why not ?!!?! Good for him if we ever want to change the mentality of our team from a losing culture to a winning culture it has to start with the fan base as well.. how many comments on here are bashing our team criticizing every move they make granted we all should be and are disappointed in this season but we should still support our team and rally around them give them something to play for look at the bills Mafia for example how many winning seasons has Buffalo had in recent years yet they are fan base is as die-hard as any. Go Bucks and go Joe Dirt make it happen brother

  22. DanBucsFan Says:

it is as if some of these clowns on here think it is cute to mock our team makes me sick

  24. chickster Says:

This guy isn’t nfl caliber player WOW u kidding me

  25. chickster Says:

When I walked out of the stadium Sunday I’ve never been so embarrassed in my life with all the lions fans there rubbing it in , I honestly believe we may be the worst team in the league . I like our coach cut he is a coordinator and it shows

  26. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

Being a fan of this team doesn’t mean that you have to be blind.

I consider myself to be a die hard Bucs fan, but I am also a football fan. And I can objectively say that what I have seen of Riley Bullough the Football player, hasn’t been anything special or good.

He is incredibly slow footed, which makes him absolutely horrendous in coverage. He is a liability in pursuit, and he is no where near quick enough, or strong enough to be an effective pass rusher.

NONE OF YOU would have a clue who he was if it weren’t for the preseason soap opera.

What really makes me laugh, is that we have a 23 year old guy on this team with just as much passion and leadership as Riley is touted to have. In addition to being incredibly physically gifted, and is currently the owner of numerous franchise records, yet half of you want to run that same 23 year old player out of town… Makes you think…

  27. DanBucsFan Says:

Been there chickster…def sux when they invade ray jay n we feel embarrassed and at times out numbered in our own home stadium.

  28. Midnightstroker1 Says:

@chickster that’s how I felt after the cardinals game

  29. chickster Says:

I hope we do not have the Culverhouse syndrome 2.0

  30. Smokingjoebucfan Says:

@chickster the lion fans and Bucs fans have one thing in common. They’ll be home on their a$$ just as we will watching the playoffs wishing it was our home team out there.

  31. chickster Says:

    got that shiiiit right

  32. Smokingjoebucfan Says:

Guess we have another thing in common. We both suck!! 5 turnovers and down 14 going in the 4th we just about took “W” out of their mouth

  33. Chrisco4Bucs Says:

    Bust his F’ing ass Riley

  34. Chrisco4Bucs Says:

    Make Gruden PROUD

  35. Howard Cosell Says:

Let this season stand as testament to the kiss of death that is Hard Knocks.

OF COURSE the inept short-term thinking Glazers were enchanted by the possible revenue increase it could generate. How’d that work out for ya?
Lol, you’ll never see Bob Kraft and Bellicheat ever ever ever do Hard Knocks.

  36. TampaTown Says:

Oh no! He cut his hair?!

This guy isn’t nfl caliber player WOW u kidding me

Yeah, but he’s cheap and that’s what matters round these parts.
We don’t take kindly to big contracts!

  38. Capt.Tim Says:

    Our defense is . . . Well . . Stupid
They fall for every fake, stunt , and trick play.
Thats why they are so easy to score on, at the end of every game.

They are a bunch of Dumbasses

Rilley knew all of our plays, and how to set the defense, in the preseason.
Meybe he can bring some much needed intelligence to the field.

The Patriots arent the most athletic team.
They are the most intelligent team.

By the way, our Offense is pretty dumb too!

Every year, around this time, we are always looking for the reason that this team seems cursed, why we cant seem to play up to our ability.

Ive come to the conclusion, after re-watching the games every week,
    That this team isnt smart.

Any help they can get couldnt hurt

  39. Grt1 Says:

Well I can’t get any worse can it …. crap there’s still three games left

  40. Crazed Fan Says:

I like this guy! Welcome to Da 53 Rilley Boy!!! Screw Gruden. Go Bucs!!!

  41. Bucsfanman Says:

Man, they should’ve done this earlier in the season. We’re winning out 7 DASH 9 now!!!
    Sarcasm font off!

  42. BoJim Says:

Would be nice if he turned into a solid backup. We need much more attitude. As for Monday Night Football, I’ll watch it because I’ve been a fan since 76′ and they will always be my team, just please make this a tough game for them. PLEASE!

  43. Conte Piscateli Says:

GMC to IR and they bring up a linebacker, maybe we will finally see some 3-4

  44. OAR Says:

You guys got somethin’ to say to me? Why don’t you say it in the microphone. I got a backup mike right here. Check one two, testing, testing. Yup, they both workin’ and guess what? They don’t like no feedback, what’s up?

  45. Capt.Tim Says:

Im sure these idiots moved Riley up- because they plan to dsmage more of out Lbers- by playing them at DE

Expect to see Beckwith at DE, until they get him hurt.
