“Three Is Working To Get Back As Soon As He Can”

November 16th, 2017

Gerald McCoy was talking Jameis Winston yesterday.

And there was no hesitancy when Joe asked No. 93 about America’s Quarterback.

Joe asked McCoy how he thought Jameis handled missing his first career game and the time leading up to it and afterwards.

“I know on the sideline he was very amped up, still very in tune with what was going on,” McCoy said of Jameis. “He was the same guy. He just wasn’t in pads and throwing passes. Same energy level, same leadership. He was the same guy. That’s always great.”

Before that answer, McCoy, without being asked, offered that Jameis is on a mission to return quickly.

“Three is working to get back as soon as he can,” McCoy said without being asked.

Another Buccaneer told Joe off the record yesterday that he expects Jameis back “sooner rather than later.”

Joe’s not a doctor, and Joe has never dated a nurse, but Joe does sense that Bucs players expect Jameis to be on the field with more than a few games to play this season.

If Jameis is healthy, given a thumbs-up from his guru-doctor friend James Andrews and Bucs physicians, then Joe would love to see Jameis ride in on a horse and help the Bucs beat powerhouse teams that fill their schedule after Sunday’s contest in Miami.

All this talk of Chucky’s return, combined with the recent five-game losing streak, has Joe hungrier than ever for Ws.

    Joe

You’ve messed up never dating a nurse!!! Hawt ladies! There’s still time of course. 🙂

  2. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

LOL @ Joe – “Joe’s not a doctor, and Joe has never dated a nurse”

Joe seems to be very old school. I found it amusing but I bet a lot of your female readers might be offended by the fact that you refer to having not dated a nurse. You know they have female doctors these days!

Well I hope “3” is not pushing himself cause he can easily re-injure his shoulder…………………..

  4. Herbiebuc Says:

It we are 6-7 when we face the falcons Monday night football do we still have a chance to make the playoffs? Somebody answer this for me…

  5. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

    Herbie, that is easy. No

  6. BucTooth Says:

Herbie their a dead team walking there’s ZERO chance they make the playoffs i just hope they still go down fighting like mountain men with the remaining games any way,

  7. derrickbrooksforGM Says:

@Herbiebuc I think 8 and 8 could get them into the playoffs and some help along the way. Can they get to 8 and 8? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  8. Rashad Says:

    Herbie,

I’d say no. We have to win out if we want to even sniff the playoff’s. Gonna take 10+ wins to get into playoffs this year, and that’s talking wild card.

  9. gambelero Says:

So, Joe dates Hooters waitresses and Bucs cheerleaders, but not nurses. Not sure about the tradecraft here, maybe this would have been better. “Joe’s dated a lot of nurses, but he was never interested enough in their minds for any of their knowledge to rub off…”

    ^^BINGO^^

Andrew luck did the same thing….rushed back…how’d that work out for him?….with no playoffs on the line, we should give ryan griffin a go….if he performs well or someone thinks he can play, trade him for picks….GO BUCS!!!!

  12. Bird Says:

    They have male nurses too

    Aka Gaylord Focker

  13. Mike Johnson Says:

Yeah..But Fitz might go 2-0. I say let Fitz ball. Can’t hurt us anymore than it already has. We are not going to have a winning season anyway.

  14. Buc_The_World Says:

C-3PO: Sir, the possibility of the buccaneers making playoffs is approximately 3,720 to 1

Herbiebuc: Never tell me the odds

  15. ndog Says:

There currently is a article on Yahoo Sports that is killing Jameis and saying that his injury only happened in the NO game and he has just been playing poorly this entire season. See this is the kind of uneducated garbage that makes people hate the media.

  16. GhostofSchiano Says:

    Andrew Luck.

Look what happened to him…..need we say more?

Get well Winston, but do not come back before you are 100% and cleared by competent doctors.

Excellent point about our gender biases. I always felt free to approach a nurse but never believed I rated a Doctor. Then again I married a Dentist but I married so far above my class it’s freaking amazing. LOL And it’s not just her professional success…she is a special lady…and I’m far from special!!!!!

Don’t get sucked into hating the media. Have you seen the story about the so called Washington Post reporter on a robo call in Alabama.

Some awful loser imitates a Jewish guy…accent and name…and claims to be calling women 54-57 in Alabama offering 5,000 to 7,000 for info on more Roy Moore scandals. This kind of fake robo calling from the right is detestable because people in Alabama are not thinking whether someone will take the offer or not…what they are thinking is that the Washington Post is paying for the story which is totally FALSE and made up and creates this I hate the media meme.

Now just do some historical research. All dictators do this…they demonize the press because it’s all that we have left to shine a light on some of this crap.
Do they alway get it right? Of course not. But by and large they are doing their best with ONE notable exception. When a politician tells you the media is your enemy you should realize this is an authoritarian who hates to be held accountable and a very dangerous person.

  19. Buc1987 Says:

StPeteBucsFan…have YOU seen polls about how much americans trust the media these days? It ain’t pretty….and it was pretty damn bad before Trump got there. The lack of any coverage on anything negative while Obama was in there was astounding. He had them in their pocket. That’s when the distrust with the media really took off. Now Trump can’t sneeze without someone in the media reporting he did it the wrong way. It’s called being OVER the top in my book. I turn to CNN just for giggles these days as I don’t watch any cable news TV. I say to myself before I turn the channel there. “I wonder what negative crap CNN has come with now on Trump.” Sure enough. It never fails. 9 times out of 10 I change the channel their bashing him about something. It’s a game I play….it’s my entertainment.

  20. Buc1987 Says:

    his* pocket.

  21. Buc1987 Says:

Kind of like when Obama told everyone to stop watching Fox News.

  22. Buccaneer scotty Says:

Hopefully doesn’t come back until next year

  23. Reach87 Says:

We still have a chance. We are not eliminated yet. Go Bucs!

  24. Buc-n-Iowa Says:

    So you’re sayin there’s a chance……………

  25. TampaTown Says:

Joe have you ever had a significant other dress up like a nurse and give you a shot?

  26. Jim Says:

Reports from outside the Tampa Bay Bubble are usually met with outrage. Fortunately, they are few. Even Jenna has now fallen somewhat silent…

  27. Herbiebuc Says:

Nobody really answered my question!! If we are 6-7 when we face the falcons on Monday night how are we not in the playoff race? Our next 3 opponents are dolphins falcons packers call me crazy if the defense can continue from ny jets we can beat all three because every one of those teams have major flaws! Stop giving up so easy guys I don’t think the players or coaches did so why should we? Please somebody answer this but facts only! Not that pessimistic b.s

  28. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

’87 – Why would they not cover Trump. He is a complete imbecile that is making our country a laughingstock. The number of lies, mistakes, and outrageous actions and statements he makes is astounding. CNN does have a bias against him, but they actually cover current events and they don’t make up any of it (they don’t have to). I watch PBS’ coverage as well, but the news ends up being similar to CNN simply because we have a buffoon in office that creates news with his stupidity.

Fox is the one that is genuinely slanted and extremely loose with the facts. While you say you don’t watch cable news, I truly worry about the right wing ship that watch Fox nonstop. When Shep Smith pointed out the other day that the Uranium One nonsense was simply not true, the sheep said he was reporting fake news and should go work for CNN. They want thier news slanted and trust morons like Sean Hannity.

  29. Jim Says:

A famous Bucs coach once said “We’re just a few plane crashes away from the playoffs”.

  30. BigHogHaynes Says:

@Buc1987: don’t wonder why any longer….I’ll tell you the truth; Obama is a lot better person than Trump, be honest with yourself and it is easy to come to that conclusion! And Trump is a well known JACK-ASS, BIGOT, and RACIST!! NOTHING FAKE ABOUT IT! TAKE A KNEE!…KEEP AMERICA FREE!
