Bucs Played Hungry; Sideline Energy Changed

November 13th, 2017

Loads of great insight here today from host Justin Pawlowski, The Commish, as the Bucs finally matched the intensity of the Bucs Uncensored podcast.

And there are plenty of rabid fan takes, too. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, Bucs Uncensored unifies Tampa Bay fans (Stick Carriers!) in every corner of the universe. You can be a part of the show. Just email a 90-second-or-less audio blast to [email protected] Listen above or subscribe on iTunes right here, or at Podbean.com. Justin’s work is not influenced by JoeBucsFan.com. Joe just thinks it’s very, very, very special. **CAUTION: some R-RATED language!**

Our Defense won this game for us.
Off Topic, anyone remember Adrian Claiborne ?
He had 6 sacks yesterday for Atlanta against Dallas.
    Tampa cut him loose 🙁

A lot of people forget that Claiborne was a first round pick of the Bucs from the Rah era, I think 2011 late 1st as that was the draft after the smoke and mirrors 10-6 season…. Look, I know the guy got injured a lot for the Bucs but now he joins Michael Bennett, Donald Penn, Jeremy Zuttah as lineman from both sides of the ball that One Buc simply let go (well in Zuttah’s case they got a 6th round draft pick)….. Seems like lost causes in Tampa suddenly turn into productive starters elsewhere….

Justin’s major point about the game yesterday: about time to wake up and show a pulse …. He is right but the Bucs beating the Jets to go 3-6 is kind of like the 2007 Bucs beating a 3-6 Skin team to go 3-7 or a Ray Perkins club from the late ’80s edging a Pack or Lion team at home on the way to 5-11 or 6-10…. It is good to get the W but remember who the Buc beat and hopefully it will start a mini win streak over Miami and possibly the Pack but it could also just be a W that get the Bucs to pick 7th instead of directly behind Cleveland, SF and the really bad Giants. Giants head coach may be the first one to go this season after that loss to SF yesterday while the heat is off Koetter for at least a week, funny how winning does that…..

Justin made a great point, about waking up, and showing a Pulse!
On another note, I love the fact that Robert Ayers and Kwon Alexander got into it on the sideline. If you missed it, after a penalty on Chris Baker that led to the Jets only TD pass, Alexander went up and confronted Baker. Ayers saw Alexander getting in Baker’s face and then got in Alexander’s face. The two had to be separated by Gerald McCoy. But, the thing I love is that after the game, both players were fine; it was just passion coming out. You need a team that is fiery enough to hold others accountable, yet respect each other to know that that’s what it is. The defense playing well, playing aggressive and playing passionate was my takeaway from the Jets game. Maybe they can be what they thought they would be in these last seven games.

  4. Mike Johnson Says:

Its my regular Sunday Sermon people…DEFENSE. Its how we won our 1st champonship. But Tampa got obsessed with having a perfect Ofense. And look where that got us? I’d rather have an average offense with a superb kick A.s defense anyday. You gotta stop people in this league. When our D plays with energy and aggression, it vitalizes our Offense and whole game. I hope we take a hint in next yrs draft. Get the defense right and we win games.
