The Bucs’ “Benjamin Button”

November 10th, 2017

Mad respect thrown at Brent Grimes

To say the Tampa Bay defense has an MVP this season is kind of like saying there were a few good bites of a piece of moldy bread.

But still, the Bucs have had strong performers, Lavonte David and Brent Grimes spring to mind.

Grimes is on track to return from a shoulder injury on Sunday against the Jets. It’s obvious the Bucs couldn’t fill the void.

“Our entire defense misses him and his energy and his game-breaking ability,” Robert McClain told the Buccaneers Radio Network this week.

McClain went on to say everyone sees that Grimes, at 34 years old, is unlike any other player.

“He’s always a fine-oiled machine that rarely stretches,” McClain said. “You know, he’s a guy that’s just a freak of nature. His pregame workouts and pre-whatever-he-does for a lot of stuff is always off the charts. Grimey never really does conventional things to kind of get ready for stuff. So he kind of does his own thing. He’s Benjamin Button, literally.”

Of course, Button is the movie character who defied aging and grew younger. Grimes has missed more time this year than he has since the 2012 season, but he’s still an excellent player.

Grimes’ return should represents bring a real spark. The Bucs desperately need turnovers and big time plays on defense to build some confidence there. There’s no substitute for talent, and Grimes represents a huge step-up. Plus, the missed time probably freshened up his legs big time.

sCam just compared a brady to Benjamin Button. What do Brady and Grimes have in common? A diet heavy in vegetables!!

Ponce de Leon could have saved so much time if he just ate his kale and broccoli!!

This is for DB55, look up the definition of fan and then comment on my family. Whether Brent is here or not, the NFL has been good to us and we as a family appreciate some so-called fans. BYE

First of all, I like Miko. I think she’s the realist person TB has ever seen.

Second, I can post the tweet where she lol’d at the notion that she’s a TB fan just bc they get paid to play here. We’ll see if he’s here next year.

Finally, thanks for your response and I appreciate you having your peoples back like that. I wish we had more of that around here.

I love Miko and Brent. I can only hope Brent wants to play another year here but you can’t fault him one bit if he hangs them up. No matter what he and his family decide, Brent gave us 100%. Very much appreciated.
