“He’s Public Enemy No. 1”

October 15th, 2017

Gamewrecker.

It seems the Cardinals are like a lot of other teams.

And for that reason, the Gerald McCoy haters will get their briefs bunched up.

Joe has documented how two former NFC South offensive coordinators who are now head coaches said preparing for the Bucs requires a gameplan to stop McCoy if they hoped to have any success.

One coach is Kyle Shanahan. The other? Current winning Bucs coach Dirk Koetter. And then there’s what Josh McDaniels was caught saying about McCoy 10 days ago.

Yet the GMC haters, when learning this, run away with their index fingers stuck in their ears yelling “La-la-la-la-la!” as they try to shield themselves from the truth.

Well, it seems Bruce Arians of the Cardinals might be the third NFL head coach to believe this. His soon-to-be Hall of Fame wide receiver all but said the same thing. When studying the defense of the Bucs, Larry Fitzgerald told Josh Weinfuss of BSPN that GMC jumps off the screen.

“Turn the tape on and he’s setting up camp in people’s backfields every week,” Fitzgerald said. “He’s public enemy No. 1.”

That’s high praise from a high-caliber player.

This season, even on a gimpy ankle, GMC is playing like a man possessed. Joe expects him to go HAM on the shaky Cards’ front line today.

I bet if the Bucs are down by 14 or more in the late third quarter or early fourth McCoy gets another one of his “injuries” that being the true warrior he is he will be able to shake off…. that is providing the Bucs core a touchdown to make it interesting.

Why he’s been playing hurt all season long……that’s his MO

    * He’ll run around the field limping or hurt…..go down on the ground one-way-or-another.

    * Then all the announcers will start praising GMC again and about he’s one of the best DTs in the league

    * Then he’ll get back on the field

This script and GMCs game is so predictable, you could probably set your watch to it.

BUT……………..you gotta give the man props for playing hurt

kobe was at his waroom last night (moms basement) …

    crunching numbers and stats…

kobes analytics spited out that everything turned bad for kwon when he dyed his hair red

    LOL…………..

    that’s funny

  8. Roy T. Buford Says:

I’m not so worried about GMC showing up as much I worry about when he leaves. No, not a slam on his knack for getting injured, but it is a voiced concern about how he gets hurt and stays in…which is maybe not so good. No question — Gerald has the ability and heart as a player…one of the best DTs in the game. But I just have to wonder (more and more after ALL of these years) if he inspires other to make the team better than the sum of its parts.

  9. Roy T. Buford Says:

@Anthem…I have toyed with that idea about GMC getting “hurt” but have to dismiss it on the fact he’s a pro.

But like this one kid who played goalie on my high school soccer team…just about every time the other team scored a goal on him, he always seems to be “injured” after he saw it go into the net.

  10. Issic Haggins Says:

Best start GMC has ever had , he is simply playing the ball instead of leaving his gap for perceived play disruption. Every fan knows how good GMC can be and this is where the frustration lies !!!

Gerald Go to the dam Ball and Bam , look at all the praise you receive !!

Make some plays late in the game and you may have a shot at the hall of fame some day , GMC clearly has hall talent but can he mentally play snap to whistle and quite the over penetration crap 4 yards away from the ball . This looks great on film but kills the rest of the D …… Gerald congrats on your improved game and great start !!! Play the dam ball Gerald !!! You make the dam play !!!

This is spot on Anthem, and more than one Bucs coach has said exactly the same thing.

From R.T. Buford, on faked injuries –

… like this one kid who played goalie on my high school soccer team…just about every time the other team scored a goal on him, he always seems to be “injured” after he saw it go into the net.

Made me laugh, R.T. Coached a shortstop in Little League who did exactly the same thing every time he booted a play.

How is this still a topic. Why are such blatantly obvious statements such controversial topics. If the info wasn’t as readily available as for you, Joe, as it is for me, I would run the numbers on the handful of GMC haters, stick them in a bottle with all 100 of the flat earthers and let them sail over the edge of the earth into Jim Jones hands. I would be floored to see the % of people, from this here corner of the inter webs, who don’t think GMC is a top DT in this league, higher then double digits

  13. Pierce Says:

Armchair quarterbacks think they see something experts don’t. Keep that tinfoil on your heads and don’t stop trolling with the limp lives you live.

  14. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

    @Pierce

+1 here take this internet point.

  15. unbelievable Says:

Lol thank you Pierce. The only guy on the d line who plays consistent yet some “fans” wanna run him outta town.

It makes me wonder, do they want an even worse pass rush? So confusing…
