Putting The Puzzle Together

Waiting.

So the Bucs initially hoped to resume practice Tuesday. We’ll see.

As Hurricane Irma had its sights set on Florida last week when the Bucs learned they had an unexpected bye week, Bucs players in the locker room were furiously trying to book flights out of town, to go anywhere to dodge Irma.

In fact, Team Glazer found four planes to get some players, football staffers, team front office personnel and their families to North Carolina to escape Irma.

But per California train-romancing, anti-football proliferation, outhouse-admiring, airline-napping, steerage-flying, Yogi Berra-worshipingurinal picture-takingvideo game-playingTaylor Swift-listening, pickpocket-thwartingBucs-uniform-frowningAllie-LaForce-smittenBig-Ten-Network-hatingpedestrian-bumpingolive oil-lappingpopcorn-munchingcoffee-slurpingfried-chicken-eatingoatmeal-lovingcircle-jerking, craft beer-chugging, cricket-watchingscone-loathingcollege football-naïvebaseball-box-score-readingNPR-honkfilthy-hotel-staying, fight-instigatingbarista-training Peter King of Sports Illustrated and NBC Sports fame, winning Bucs coach Dirk Koetter, along with a few other coaches, stayed behind at One Buc Palace.

Many of his players are scattered throughout the country. Trying to get home won’t be an easy task.

Several players had return flights for Monday. Problem is, Tampa International Airport is closed today but is scheduled to reopen Tuesday. But as anyone who has traveled much can tell you once a flight is canceled, getting a flight the next day when thousands are also trying to return to Florida is no easy task.

Koetter told King players raced out of the area as far as California but he has been in contact with “95 percent” of the roster. Schedule for the team is “TBD.”

To be determined.

Any word on the half built indoor facility?

Kinda down the food chain of importance and likely won’t get any update until Joe can visit One Buc Palace, but that’s a good question. Hard to believe that didn’t sustain any wind damage.

At least when Joe next visits One Buc Palace, he can see with his own eyes if there was major damage or not.

I bet Bobo flew to the keys to avoid the hurricane. That would be Bobo being Bobo.
