More On Lavonte David’s Injury

September 24th, 2017

You saw the brutal way Lavonte David’s leg got rolled up late in today’s game.

He needed a cart to get off the field and then Joe saw David in the tunnel.

Man, it was sad. David needed serious assistance to get off the cart and then into the locker room.

He clearly couldn’t bear any weight on his bug leg (ankle?). Just look at all these Bucs injuries. It’s a Pro Bowl roster! Gerald McCoy has a gimpy ankle. Kwon Alexander is shelved with a hamstring. Brent Grimes joined Alexander on the inactive list today with a bum shoulder.

And now T.J. Ward has a fresh new injury, hopefully not serious. And there are more on the defensive side of the ball.

Not exactly how you want to lead in to facing Eli Manning and Tom Brady.

Two games in and this team is already physically beat-up all to hell….doesn’t bode well for the next 14 games.

  2. SCBucsFan Says:

I guess I’d rather have a bad season due to injuries than due to having a bunch of terrible players.

  3. Jim Says:

At least they didn’t quit. They fought to the last second.

    DISASTER SUNDAY!!!!

IF. IF you are who you say you are..then you plug in your backup and keep winning right? Hello New England and a few other teams. So..no excuses. Get her done! 31 other teams got mega multiple injuries also. Nobody in the league gives a Yham who we got injured. They just wanna whip our A’s. Ruck up Bucs…NEXT!!

  6. NJBucsFan Says:

Are we getting a no Doug no problem article?

  7. Buc1987 Says:

I agree with Mike. Everyone has injuries….deal with it. Great job on offense today too by Jameis and company…

Agree everyone has injuries but they all have byes coming up..We don’t! Grrr!!!!

  12. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Looks like Beckwith will replace Lavante David. That means Bully may just be called up from the practice squad.

So what did we lose? Counting Flue and this game, we lost what? 7 defensive players and 5 starters??? Half our defensive starts almost. Sheesh!

  13. Vegasbucaneer Says:

New Year same old results sucks being a bucs fan…

  14. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    @Mike Johnson

New England has depth at all positions. We are still building depth.

Cornerback, for example, had zero depth. Let’s hope Brent is only Flu.

Injuries did not seem to bother the Vikings today.

  16. Wesley Says:

    We’re cursed, simple as that.

  17. jb Says:

1-15? Even 7-9 With the talent on this roster? WTF???????? Don’t remember Winston looking this bad last season. He was indirectly involved with every one of our defensive injuries today by keeping the defense on the field the entire day.
This is far worse than the hosing we received from the Cards in our second game last season. Is it me, or does Winston look like he’s regressing?

I hope no one injured a knee. Might interfere with their kneeling.

GET LOST TROLL!! THIS IS A BUCS BOARD AND YOU AIN’T WELCOMED!!! I was disappointed with the offense. They are the strongest part of this team. Where was Payton Barber in the first half? Defense is the walking wounded but at least it happened in the beginning of the season. There are no injuries on O. DK needs to get with a better game plan. OT–how about the Jags today in London?

  20. Issic Haggins Says:

Jim , I def saw some quit
