Gerald McCoy Channels Bill Sheridan, Invites Insulting Fans To Meet Him At One Buc Palace

September 25th, 2017

Issues a challenge to hateful fans

Once a upon a time a Buccaneers defensive coordinator was dumb enough to complain publicly because fans were “chirping” about the usage of Darrelle Revis.

And he invited them to join him to craft a gameplan.

Joe’s talking about the lead defensive puppet of the New Schiano Order, Bill Sheridan. Who could forget Sheridan calling out disgruntled fans to come help him at 5:20 a.m. at One Buc Palace?

Yes, fans showed up. It was a bad look. Not as bad as Lovie Smith and Jason Licht cutting Revis in his prime the following season, but it was ugly nonetheless.

Fast forward to today and Tampa Bay Times beat writer Greg Auman’s chat with Gerald McCoy. No. 93 says he’s very annoyed by the personal attacks he sees on social media directed at him and his teammates.

McCoy is so pissed he wants the unsupportive fans to show up at One Buc Palace and talk to him face to face instead of hiding behind their Internet courage.

“If you’ve got something to say, let’s just talk about it. It’s not a threat. … I get so frustrated with it. It’s not a threat to anybody. The disrespect has to stop. If you’re frustrated, that’s fine, but disrespecting us, then you’re crossing the line. It’s no longer football. Now you’re disrespecting us as men. You calling me out my name over a football game? A football game? You serious? It’s one game. One. We have 14 more! One game, and you’re going to [be] disrespecting us like that?”

McCoy again extended the invitation to fans who are upset and want to talk to him to better understand what went wrong Sunday.

“I’ll never put my hands on anybody. This is not a threat. But you know where I work,” he said. “There’s a front desk. Knock on the door. ‘I want to talk to Gerald about the game yesterday.’ I will see you out there. We can hold court.”

There’s more from McCoy in the newspaper link, but it’s all the same theme and a very bad call by McCoy.

Sorry, Gerald. Grow thicker skin or turn off your social media. Simple as that.

Pretend you’re Warren Sapp circa 2001, with no access to fans other than the ones right in front of your face.

Loads of these fans cough up their cash for games and they have every right to boo and hiss and be rude. If someone crosses a line, then call the police or alert team security. Sadly, emboldened social media haters are part of life — a very crappy one — in 2017.

Inviting bitter fans to One Buc Palace is a distraction, potentially a toxic situation, and something the team and the organization don’t need.

Its about time Gerald gets pissed off!! Now take it out on the field!

  2. BUC IT Says:

I don’t have an issue with McCoy… he stood for the national anthem regardless of how he felt about the situation. I respect that. I just wish he didn’t get hurt so early in the season every year. Get the injury out of the way in the preseason.

  3. Dooshlarue Says:

    Go git em Tmax!

  4. 813bucboi Says:

    BOO F’ING WHO!!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!

  5. ElioT Says:

Here’s a quiz for Gerald on how he could spend his time more wisely?

1.) Put your hands on an opposing QB
2.) Make a play to change a game
3.) Make an impact play in the 4th quarter
4.) Lead and inspire fire in your defensive teammates
    5.) All of the above

    Go Bucs!

  6. Buc believer Says:

I think I will see if Gerald can be taken at his word! I have some questions for him as well as some comments. We will see.

  7. Bucsmarley Says:

Can’t believe all the fair weather fans on here. We had multiple chances to come back and interseptions killed us. We were down 5 starters on defense alone. No DM on offense and we are still tied for 2 nd in the league. Only Atlanta and The Chiefs are undefeated. Disagree with the play called yesterday for sure. Where was Peyton Barber? Hopefully we can get some guys healthy soon. Good luck bucs😀😀

  8. Chris Says:

There ya go To max, there’s your invitation. I seriously doubt you’ll accept it. No way in the world you’ll tell him to his face what you say in here.

  9. Wausa Says:

    I agree Joe.

Gerald is an outstanding football player but he should not take things personally when it comes to fans calling him or the team for poor play. Especially after the entire Bucs defense was destroyed by a back up QB.

The Bucs have one sack this year. I would say it’s fairly obvious the defensive line is playing awful.
Do something about the lack of pressure and sacks Mr. McCoy and quit worrying about foolish comments on social media.

  10. Seminole Bill Says:

Joe – I am sure GMC is frustrated after yesterday’s game – we all are. But confronting disgruntled fans does no good. GMC gets the blame and the criticism because he is the team leader. And I am willing to guess that the number of disgruntled fans are a small minority of all of us out here.

Tell GMC I’ll have my number 93 jersey on Sunday PM. Also tell him, after a sack, look up at row 211 on the west side – I’m the guy screaming GO BUCS!!!!!!.

  11. Chris Says:

    TMax

  12. BucEmUp Says:

I have no issue with McCoy or the players, I have an issue with the defensive scheme, how theses db’s are being coached to play and how blame all falls on the pass rush. I can count on both hands how many times our D lineman were SOOOOO close to a sack, but there was always someone open…..ALWAYS someone to launch to downfield. Wr’s running the same plays against them all day. I don’t expect Dirk Koetter to admit it publicly, but Mike Smith can’t generate a top tier defense….or even a half of one. This is Lovie Smith 2.0…..same defense he had when he was in Atlanta (even though he wasn’t the DC….that was his defense.)

Jameis can win almost any game, but when you hang him out to dry he and al most any other QB are forced to take unnecessary risks. I don’t blame Gerald one bit.

  13. Zwak Says:

He’s amazing got hurt three times and was carried off the field then was back in the next play?

  14. Max Says:

I will never be able to hear the words “Simple as that” without hearing Lovie.

  15. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I tend to agree with Joe that it’s not a good idea for players to engage fans directly….but I also understand GMC’s frustration….and I am only aware of what is said here on JBF about him. That is monitored and I’m sure a watered down version of what he gets elsewhere.

As far as what he gets here…..It’s so misguided and ignorant…repetitive and laughably obtuse that it is irrelevant.

I can remember Realist’s one trick pony rants about Dominick….and now compare them to Tmax’s diarrhea-tribe on GMC…

The only difference between the two is that the Realist was right about Dominick.

  16. Bucs Says:

I dont know about anyone else but I’m so tired of the “we gotta be better we,gotta do this we gotta do that”

Every year same song and dance.

The giants are about to put an epic beat down on the Bucs. Stay tuned and have your popcorn ready cause no way this injury riddled team will win this game.

  17. Rod Munch Says:

Gerald is right – the crybabies need to get lost. But that doesn’t change the fact Ryan Smith is awful and has no place in the NFL. Why he hasn’t been cut already today, it’s disgraceful.

  18. feelthepewterpower Says:

hahahahaha…A solid 70 percent of Joe Buc’s fans commenters are haters.

  19. Nole4JabooANDdBucs Says:

RIGHTS are a funny thing! Everyone have them both players and fans alike!

  20. Zwak Says:

    Well said Nole!

  21. AlteredEgo Says:

Exactly what are these dumb jocks protesting ?

  22. Rod Munch Says:

feelthepewterpower – You’re assuming that the haters are actually different people, I think it’s more likely it’s like 3 people that just use different names because they all say the same boring dull things.

  23. Rod Munch Says:

Can you really just show up at OneBucPlace and ask to see McCoy? I like to give him some Rice Crispy Treats I bought for Winston.

  24. LargoBuc Says:

Now tmax can call Mccoy “soft” and a “woman” right to his face!

  25. Defense Rules Says:

Solid position Joe … Bravo. I always stick up for GMC because he’s an excellent DT & class guy, but he’s wrong here. A-N-Y-O-N-E who’s in the public eye is gonna get negatively critiqued once in awhile (sometimes often actually). Best way to shut people up is with dominating performances. GMC played lights out I thought in Game 1, even though he only played 40 snaps (62%) & had 2 tackles (including assists). In Game 2 yesterday he was on the field for 63 snaps (85%) & had 4 tackles (including assists). Same 60 mins but he played over one-and-a-half times as many defensive snaps. Sorry, but Vikings keeping the ball for almost 38 mins TOP was a killer … defense staying on the field that much almost insures more injuries.

  26. Dougyballs Says:

  30. Lord Cornelius Says:

i really don’t care about any of this drama sh1t triggered dude.

I just want our team to get healthy and win next week

    Go bucs

  31. Pelbuc Says:

So much for ” speak softly and carry a big stick”.

  32. Rob Ritter Says:

Gerald McCoy needs to be mad at the guys playing behind him!
Their coverage was softer than butter especially Vernon! Looked like a Rookie
Out there. A Defensive lineman simply Cannot get to a QB when he’s making
His reads and releasing the ball in 2.5 seconds! The other factor was clearly
Disention on that team over the days events. I saw the look of disgust on
WInston’s face during the anthem. If he’s distressed the team will follow. I’m not bothered by the play, I’m glad they lost. I thank Evans and Jackson. My season is over. I’ve sold two pair of tickets today. Giants and Pat’s and to opposing fans. I’ve got 1 set left to get rid of and they won’t be sold to a Bucs fan. My money, my constructional right lol. I’m done with political show boating

  33. Dewey Selmon Says:

Can we start a go fund me page for tmax’s hospital bill.

  34. Buc1987 Says:

Tmax…was going off on McCoy today. I actually enjoyed some it.

  35. Buc1987 Says:

As far as my take on McCoy. Stfu and grow a pair. Yeah he’s a big boy so what. He’s big with the toughness of a p-word. Try playing in NY or some other big market. I’m far from a hater…but this is steering me in that direction. You poor thing.

    You big meanie fans!

  36. Wesley Says:

Can everyone just chill out and stop being so sensitive and offended all the time. Both sides are being “divisive”.

  37. Greg J Says:

A lot of fans….the ones that buy tickets and those that don’t are already upset with the players, the Bucs, and the league. All this does is prove them right. Props to McCoy for his stance on the anthem….but he just gave back all that goodwill and then some?

  38. Mike Says:

    Lord cornhole

  39. Rrsrq Says:

I don’t really get the Ryan Smith hate, first game as a starter as an NFL CB glinting against S. Diggs who completely demolished whoever their week one opponent was. Is he being coached to play off the ball, because when he played up on the receiver, the only way the receiver caught the ball was a push off.
On the other hand, our first round pick from the Gators has not shown up at all. I got a feeling Eli and company will go after VHIII really hard on Sunday.

  40. NOSBOS Says:

Riddle me this. What The F@$! good would it do??? Will it help us win next??? It’s dumb s@$# like this that begins to decribe the flaws in our team.

  41. lambchop Says:

I think his point, in a not so direct way, is to STFU if you aren’t putting the pads on and hittin someone for the Bucs. It’s easy to MMQB sittin behind a keyboard. But, fans, disgruntled ones at that, are a part of sports. Yea we don’t play and if we did we’d get maimed, but we expect if you’re wearin big boy pants then you better play like one. So, I get his point, but he does need to grow a pair and stop looking weak. Fans and Social Media should be the last thing on this team’s plate right now.

Many athletes put their social media accounts on pause during the playoffs or whatever. If it’s trippin him out in Week 3, he just needs to shut it down permanently.

But for the melodramatic fans, grow a pair too. They will fix the problems just like they did last year. I just hate regressing and being in perpetual fixing mode, but that happens with non-elite teams. But, I won’t question the draft, because if the pick in the 2nd was different, we may be looking at a totally different Rd. 3 as well. Let’s move forward already and stop looking back.

  42. chickster Says:

Mcoy is Bad man I m very impressed with him Keep it up

  43. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

Please please please T-max go down to OneBuc tomorrow and ask to speak with McCoy. And please please please tell him your screen name on JBF. You can do it. You are a bad ass!

  44. LakeLandBuc Says:

These wimps can only hide behind a computer screen and type non sense. Most of them probably trips on their own feet, walking out to their car.

  45. LakeLandBuc Says:

It’s not GMC fault that these delusional fans predict a playoff team year after year.

  46. James Walker Says:

Social media does not make people happier, or more social. In fact, it makes us miserable and isolated. It brings the worst out in some people, and may end up in the end being a social cancer.

  47. firethecannons Says:

this is your opportunity tmax/tampax now or never, meet with gmc and tell him how you feel then shutup about it as you are obsessed
time for tmax to confront McCoy!!!! McCoy is a good dude to even bother with you as you are a nobody

  48. NOSBOS Says:

So what y’all think would really happen??? He would show anger ball his fist and clock someone risking millions in litigation??? Yea right.

  49. Bucnjim Says:

McCoy is the 100 million dollar face of the franchise and because of that he will be subject to both glory and criticism. His history of being injured has not helped his stance. Every employee is judged by his performance according to how much he makes. Hopefully 93 understands most fans will never know or understand that kind of money but expectations are high for everyone of that stature.

  50. MooseSOG Says:

This is not the GMC we know in Tampa! I think maybe he’s a little frustrated because he was injured a little. He still played through it and tried! I hope he heals quickly and has a great season!

    Moose

  51. C eh N eh D eh Says:

He’s soft as putty…this is brutal, listening to idiots like us….bye bye, Bucs need a new under tackle, with balls

  52. JAB83 Says:

Just for the record. Don’t plan on the receptionist actually going over the PA to call this man to the lobby.

You butt hurt fans need to find another azz to chew on. GMC is an AWESOME man and a solid football player.

I agree you have a right to be a fanatic and complain. But if you wont stand LITERALLY because people call you names and treat you like the POS you are. Why should we who seek to make everyone around us better put up with you?

Cant have it both way snowflakes…. Go the F back to Disney Land

  53. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Alert!!!

Tmax is missing…….that’s right, the one article that is appropriate for Tmax trashing GMC is this one and where is he?

He can trash GMC on an article about Marpet moving to center, Evans drops, Jameis overthrows, Glazer Foundation, Tony Dungy and Darrell Revis…..but no post on this article…….

    Where is TMAX?

(bet this post draws him out)

  54. unbelievable Says:

tmax- can you take some video when you go down there tomorrow, and post it on twitter or somewhere for us all to see? Surely you have about 7 years worth of comments and opinions to give the man.

You should tell him some of your nicknames, and obviously bring some ice cream.

  55. NOSBOS Says:

Exactly what Bucjim said. TBbucfan he’s not missing. This thread confirms his position so he doesn’t see a need to say anything. It’s kinda comical if you ask me.

  56. HowToSpellRhonde Says:

Tmax meeting GMC at OBP would put him in his usual place, somewhere often wet, warm, and bloodied up.

  57. Buc fan in Chicago Says:

Read all of Geralds comments…including where he called what President Trump said “retarded”…..nice job Gerald….there are actually genuinely “retarded” people in this country, many of them and by no fault of their own…and you just insulted them you big idiot…..when athletes can’t speak with intelligence, they should keep their mouths shut….otherwise, as in the case, they come out of it looking awfully stupid….I will knock on the door and point that out to you too you jackass. Now go soak your ankle so the swelling goes down and you can take your foot out of your mouth.

  58. Steven007 Says:

Cancermax’s balls would need to drop before he attempted a stunt like this. And it’s clear they haven’t. And NOS, you’re right. GMC is not stupid enough to do anything but even with that reality is the leader of the loser posters culture could never muster the courage to be in the same vicinity. No doubt about that.

  59. Roy T. Buford Says:

I was there yesterday. Like a fool, flew up there. Yeah, Case Freakin’ Keenum who tore us up…again. Three times.

GMC and the rest of his team took a bye week. Congrats…you got it. Going for two? Start with that GMC. Taste that one. Savor it. Transition into unprofessional display of disrespect during the national anthem. We don’t need to meet you my man; I’ve already talked with Bucs uppers today. My tickets are for sell to any liberal shill who wants to watch your team disrespect your military town. Your team is a disgrace. The play on the field is bad enough; the stuff before the game yesterday, worse. Enjoy playing in front of NYG fans. They share your AFU beliefs.

Have a nice day, Bucs. I’ll see you when you act like respectable employees for an American professional sports franchise, and when your owners demand that of you.

Excuse me Dirk: Those fans of the Giants filling up the lower bowl are due to yoiu and your owners…not the fans. Take that one in.

  60. Reverse Joe Says:

    Dam Joes,
I am impressed with this one. U feel like we do. Good on you.

  61. Gencoimports Says:

I have nothing against McCoy, but he and the team would be better served if he didn’t pay attention to what others say about hm on social media during the season.

  62. Brad Isherwood Says:

Excellent. . ..Bucs Nation going smack down.!

Jameis Winston has moments where he looks like…Could be……Warren Moon.
Bucs should unleash Mouse Davis….- Run and Shoot!,… and who cares what critics say.

Bucs have the receivers for Run and shoot.
QB….gets to run broken option to sideline

No one is going to hit him. ….The defence is back peddle downfield.
Even if you falter. …you get inside the 25 – 6 times for field goal…and win ugly.

Bucs QB platoon in and out …
    This is quick hitter ..
Offensive line doesn’t get their knees blown out.

The backs and TE have to block and and do check off pass….you get 5 or 6 yards and you get hit immediately .

    Candidly…..the Bucs defence is ???.
Offence has to ring get the bell for 28 points

    Bucs can beat the Giants
    Season turning point …

    Jameis Winston, ……JC Watts,Condredge Holloway,…..Warren Moon.

You can ….yes you can. …be….Awesome!

  63. Wesley Says:

    Who is Tmax?

  64. GhosofSchiano Says:

    Tmaxcon

  65. Roy T. Buford Says:

Joe says: “Loads of these fans cough up their cash for games and they have every right to boo and hiss and be rude. If someone crosses a line, then call the police or alert team security. Sadly, emboldened social media haters are part of life — a very crappy one — in 2017.”

GMC, Dirk, Joel, etc: My season ticket package is for six seats, all club, 8% of my total income. I flew up to freakin’ Minneapolis to show red among purple, and cheer you on. And you turn in a turd. Can I say that here? Worse, it takes all I have to stand anymore as a disabled vet and two of you, one a team captain Mike Evans, lazily kneals. Well, kiss my crippled ass. I was taller than your clowns on the field. I don’t care that you held your hand over your heart for veterans. Stand your sorry ass up! And oh yeah, vote. You are not a SOB as Trump says, you showned yourself and the Bucs as a big piece of crap. Take that in.

  66. LakeLandBuc Says:

Case Keenum is 3-0 against the Bucs and Jameis Winston.

  67. Chef Says:

If players want to make a statement kneel during the coin toss.

But please respect those that served in the Military. Imagain what would happen to a Military Sevice Member that
    kneeled.
    Respect goes both ways.

Stop the Military Color Guard and all Fly Overs.

  68. Smokeymountainbucsfan Says:

Say what ya want my RESPECT level for #93 could not get any stronger than it did yday! Seeing the man who was clearly hurt throughout the game but still get back up and snap the chinstrap on and hobble back out there. Say what ya want, think what ya want, he’s a fighter! I myself over his NFL career didn’t always think that way about him. But when your getting taken to the woodshed and getting stomped like the Vikings were doing to them yday and he basically was saying I’m not given up despite how I feel. Lots of respect for the man and the others that didn’t hide behind the Viking woodshed.

  69. IndyBucsFan Says:

    Hahahah. I love McCoy

  70. BigHogHaynes Says:

You guys are lost so let me put you on the right track! No one is disrespecting the Military or the Anthem, that is a false claim by some. Taking a knee seems to bring out the Jack ass in some people but at the same time a police officer killing unarmed black people and all you hear is Crickets!! That Flag and Anthem doesn’t mean the same to everyone!!!

  71. Smokeymountainbucsfan Says:

Looked liked to me that the “rust” everybody talked about a week ago surfaced. Look at all the injuries as well now. Have to somehow pull this together or we will be talking about who we’re gonna draft next year by Halloween. If Irma wouldn’t have visited Florida #22 would be lining up Sunday. I think we will see a major difference when he’s back for New England and we can get this ship headed in the right direction. Go Bucs! A lot of people trying to stir up sh*t but Gerald most of us have your back

  72. Tut Says:

He wont crawl out of his safe place hiding behind his keyboard.

  73. Chef Says:

PLEASE before you make an assumption it is not disrespect see how a military base responds to lowering and raising the Flag. All vehicles stop and passengers get out of vehicles.

Honor and tradition is part of the Military. It may seem silly to those that have not served. But it’s a fact.

Kneel during the coin toss. Kneel after you score a touch down. Imagine the impact you would have.

I am not in any way saying not to demonstrate. BUT please consider others as you ask them to consider your views.

  74. Simeon97 Says:

The pats game is going to be depressing. We made Keenum look like Brady, just thin when the real Brady shows up. Pretty sure we haven’t come within 30 points of the pats in the few matchups we have had with them in the past decade.

  75. Buc1987 Says:

Take a knee it might prevent some white cop from killing another unarmed black man. I doubt it, but fire away. No pun intended.

  76. BringBucsBack Says:

“Not as bad as Lovie Smith and Jason Licht cutting Revis in his prime the following season…” Sorry Joes, Revis’ 1 Mil-per-game rehab year on our roster (and since) were post-prime Revis…and he would’ve cost us a 2nd had they kept him. One of Lovie’s few justifiable decisions.

Tmax, right BEFORE you hand Gerald his ice cream cone, will you please ask him to ask M. Smith if he would consider tighter CB coverage off of the line of scrimmage…say just an 8 yard cushion?

  77. webster Says:

Funny, many talk about disrespecting vets and the military because players kneel. Isnt disrepect to neglect all the vets and active duty personnell who believes in what these players are doing?

  78. Not there yet Says:

Those fans here’s frustrated with aren’t haters they are just pathetic. Yes I was angry by the way they loss even though I thought they would lose this game but some fans are just sad acting as if they are more upset then the team that just got curb stomped. Yes we watched but they played the game it’s not more embarrassing for us than the team I promise.

Bottom line is it seems a big chunk of our family Base is more fragile than our team after a loss,

Get it together you’ll shake this one off and be back to rooting for your team next week, one game is not a teens and last year does not the media should stop with the he did this last year non sense the entire team beat us down the quarterback did not have to work very hard for this win which is on the coaching staff more than anything

  79. Chef Says:

PLEASE before you make an assumption it is not disrespectful to some to kneel see how a military base responds to lowering and raising the Flag. All vehicles stop and passengers get out of vehicles. The flag is saluted and honored. It’s done in respect to those that served before us. That have given for our freedoms. It’s in honor of the sacrifices of those that served and their families.

Honor and tradition is part of the Military. It may seem silly to those that have not served. But it’s a fact.

Kneel during the coin toss. Kneel after you score a touch down. Imagine the impact you would have.

Ask the NFL to have a moment of silence prior to or after the National Anthem. Just show respect as you are asking for respect and justice.

I am not in any way saying not to demonstrate. BUT please consider others as you ask them to consider your views.

  80. pit Says:

Chef you nailed it.it couldnt have been said better.

  81. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

    @rob Ritter
Cry baby b!tch. Fluck your rights. U think your the only one who has rights? Have u watched the news lately? Your prolly some old white man who has never been discriminated against in his life, and your mad at they athletes for taking a knee? U prolly voted for trump too. This country is still deeply rooted in racism, with white cops shooting unarmed black men every week. These players are using their platform to take a stand against these racist acts/discrimination! And your upset because they locked arms or took a knee? Your pathetic.

  82. LifeOfABucFan Says:

    Agree..Chef nailed it…

  83. JAB83 Says:

Yall see the news… Some guy was ran over by what look to be a huge fling bat!!!

The guy was last seen and heard laughing historically at one of his own jokes. He was by all accounts a retarded joker like character.

What hit him no one really knows. It wasn’t a bird and it wasn’t a plane…

It does appear whoever was fling was Tick off to the Maxxx…
    Because,
Even though as he flew away he was smiling. He said something to the effect of “Got T(ed)Maxx.” So the guy was clearly try to kill this joker with his fling bat mobile.

This just in… The joker has been identified as “Terry Maxwell”. He was identified by his Catholic preschool teacher as TMaxx… He said young Terry liked the TRex… So we nicknamed him TMaxx at the sleep overs and eventually the orphanage.

So I think TMaxx is dead yall??? What do yall think??? Cause I know this aint fake news it was on Fox News at 11. Right after they talked about the NFL

  84. Howard Cosell Says:

The whole NFL is literally about to jump the shark with all this flag kneeling BS.

  85. Howard Cosell Says:

The NFL divas need to be careful lest they crap where they live

  86. Howard Cosell Says:

Nothing would pain Howard more than for Mark Cuban to be right.

  87. Eric Says:

    Earth to McCoy.

It’s because a bunch of fans out there watch the NFL and buy tickets that you are able to live the lifestyle of the top 1%.

I’d be reluctant to threaten them.

  88. Joe Says:

Jameis Winston has moments where he looks like…Could be……Warren Moon.
Bucs should unleash Mouse Davis….- Run and Shoot!,… and who cares what critics say.

This isn’t that crazy of a thought. Jameis’ stats outside the pocket are sick. You could be onto something.

  89. JAB83 Says:

    @Joe

You have my vote to ban this MikeEvansGoat guy.

Thats some uncalled for BS. He is wrong in so many ways and is making a case for no one or nothing but strife itself.

Surly the idea of free speech is not to insight violence…

Pretty sure racism is the least of our worries as a people.

Just look how most people treat each other around you… The only place you see racism is on TV… Otherwise its hardly an issue these days.

White middle age males are profiled as enemies of the state and all sorts of things now… JUST LIKE EVERY FREAKING COLOR…. Its how you act that determines how you will be treated…

Now if the NFL and stupid people like this clown is what the NFL is gonna be about going forward.

Screw it. I will quit working for the Bucs and I can BECAUSE I AINT NO SLAVE. I will burn my Jerseys and I will pee and poop all over that stadium late at night on one of my drunk walks…

Blind Sheep I wish you could just see the wolfs we could live in peace again!!!!

  90. THETRUTH Says:

any FAN who says GMcCoy is not doing his job, you NEVER PLAYED THE GAME and don’t understand X from 0 . THATS ALL TO IT

MY advise GM , listen and read what experts (coaches, players (former and current) say who actually played the game.. ALL give you the respect!!!!!

Tampa fans always looking to run someone out than complain they have lack of talent…

  91. Roy T. Buford Says:

Case Freakin’ Keenum wore his shiny, unwrinkled uniform to church Sunday night to give thanks for his perfect health and bruiseless body. Just saying.

I’m a fan of GMC. He’s a good man. But he’s wrong here. And the Glazers are wrong to say what they did about the protests. Now the Bucs are running wild with other stupid comments, like GMC’s.

  92. FortMyersDave Says:

Good points Roy T. McCoy should direct his anger towards the Giant OL next Sunday instead of ranting at some so called fans hiding behind a keyboard. Plus I hope Gerald realizes that about 90% of the hate directed at him is by less than 1% of the fan base, guys like the now missing TMax and a few others who likely post under multiple aliases….. The whole team took a bye last Sunday and got banged up to boot but look the Giants are 0-3 and are in turmoil as well. McCoy and the boys simply need to man up and play smart football for 60 minutes and Stick Carrier Koetter has to set up a better game plan; what I saw on Sunday is something you’d expect from Lovie as far as preparation and adjustments, sloppy from Licht down to the waterboy…..

    BTW: TMaxCon? Where are you?

  93. Roy T. Buford Says:

GMC and his bye-week band turning in a turd of a game makes me mad for a week. The team, including the owners, turning in a turd BEFORE the game during the anthem makes me mad for good. If these guys put half the amount of effort into the game as they did into the protests before the game, they would have blown out the Vikings. Now, the trip to Minneapolis costs me 4 grand. I flew to Phoenix last year and watched them suck for four quarters. That costs me 5 grand. Yeah, we whoop it up. Could have done it cheaper. But I’m good with all of that. I supported my team, and I’d still love to. Yeah both losses stung like nest of hornets, but thats the game. I get it. It’s okay being other folks stadium wearing Bucs colors and losing, and they tell you after, “Sorry, but hey, give us a break, we don’t see a lot of wins here.” I appreciate that. But kneel during the anthem and act all p.o.’d and protest in the wrong venue after I flew up to watch your sorry azzes, and you screwed up, cuz. I especially don’t like Vikings fans next to me seeing the unpatriotic display commenting there is no place for that, and I have to agree, embarassed for the Glazers Red and Pewter. So folks, no kidding, my tickets for the Giants game are up for sale. I figure some fre-spirit New Yorker who burns U.S. flags for a living will enjoy the Mike Evans kneeldown show. When the owners grow a pair and tell their players they WILL respect the observance of the national anthem, I’ll be back. Until then, the Giants fans, and maybe the Patriots fans, sitting in my West Club seats are wearing away team Jerseys with the names “Glazer” and “Evans” sewn on the backs. I already emailed some fans around me, saying “Sorry, I won’t be there, hate to subject you to away team fans, but I can’t support this team right now.” Well, the reply email: “No worries…we won’t be there either. For the same reason.”

  94. Warrenfb12 Says:

Gerald again showing his childish nature and loser mentality. “It’s one game man” “a football game!?” It’s not just a football game. It’s the same Bucs year in and year out. Stop putting garbage on the field. That performance is so f*cking Bucs..

  95. Roy T. Buford Says:

“I’ll never put my hands on anybody. This is not a threat. But you know where I work,” he said. “There’s a front desk. Knock on the door. ‘I want to talk to Gerald about the game yesterday.’ I will see you out there. We can hold court.”

Gerald either knows, or should know, you don’t “knock on the door” and they don’t let you talk to the players. There’s a great lobby with Bucs artifacts, and electronic locks to get anywhere. The receptionists are great, and they have all the decision authority of a doorbell. They will look at you like you have three heads, and then tell you, “Sorry, I can’t put you in touch with Mr. McCoy.” Will the Bucs come out with any correcting comments to this BS, or will they offer the same BS they did about support to the pre-game disrespect?

  96. The Buc Realist Says:

Well said Roy T. Buford!!!! Some say that it “does not mean the same thing to others”, But they know it does mean something to other!!!!! Why would you go to someone’s else house and insult and disrespect them????? Some said the President Trump threw a grenade at the NFL, but some players just poured gasoline on it when it exploded!!!!!!! If it was fishing, then most just got “hooked”!!!!!!!

and speaking of “hooked”, I just talked to Mr. Tmaxcon and he said he has just been having fun on twitter lately!!!!!

  97. Phil Says:

Is he also pissed that the players that take a knee and disrespect all veterans that have served this country.

  98. Buc believer Says:

The difference between McCoy and Sapp is Sapp was a shot of Jack Daniels whiskey while McCoy is a glass of white Zinfandel.

  99. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

MIKE EVANS goat, maybe research some facts before you spew off your racist bs, facts are majority of police shootings are due to the suspects having mental illness, and vast majority of police shooting victims are white 2x as many as Hispanics and blacks which are basically equal. The real issue is mental illness which would be a better area to protest or opiode epidemic or homeless veterans…..but the racist claim is so far off base and allowed to continue through ppl who just listen to lebum james and others who have the ability to be leaders and bring the country together but keep dividing the nation. People are crying over the election results and have done so for 10 months, the way to get trump out is vote him out but the way ppl are crying it is just giving him more support, a real leader, either the president or outspoken athlete would ask to speak to the president and start a dialogue about what they feel are real injustices in the US right now

  100. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

LOL @ JAB! Hilariously to hear a white guy preach to a black guy that racism isn’t a problem. STFU!

  101. D-Rome Says:

I went to training camp a few times and every time Gerald McCoy stepped on the field most everyone cheered. Not one person booed. Yet, I know there were McCoy haters there.

My point is that McCoy haters are cowards. They are knuckle-dragging mouth breathing simpletons who would never say to his face what they say from the safety of their homes in front of their keyboards while sipping on Miller High Life from a glass.

  102. Buc1987 Says:

    Dusthty Rhothdes……here here.

  103. Buc_The_World Says:

The same people talking sh*t about McCoy are the same ones running up to him trying to get an autograph. The same people saying he is soft and shouldn’t take things personal act soft and take things personal on JBF. Because he is a football player he is not allowed to be human? You guys need to get off your high horse and practice what you preach. This man played through a game visibly in pain who really shouldn’t have been out there after it was impossible to win, but all you guys do is criticize him. If he went out and got 5 sacks in one game most you would still criticize him because a lot of you are not really Buc fans, you are a bunch of haters.

  104. fortyfive Says:

Touchdowntampay shut up!! did you know that racism isn’t just on the black people! Hilariously you think that blacks are the only people who suffer. give me a break!!! so you STFU!! And get over it!!

  105. Rick in Ft. Myers Says:

I for one would love the chance to sit down with McCoy or anyone from the Bucs’ defense or offense for that matter, but not to berate them for anything or get all up in his face.

Hell, none of us have a right, whether we buy tickets or just watch on TV, to berate the Bucs for anything. Most certainly we have no right to berate McCoy, because he’s a man and player who left the game on a tender ankle, took a blow to recover, came back and kept playing until he reinjured the ankle and was forced out again. Nope, McCoy gave his all in the Minnesota game.

Personally, I would love the chance, time permitting, because these men are busy, to meet up with McCoy or any of the players at OneBuc and get their analysis of what went wrong and what went right while watching the film with them. A deeper analysis than the coach or player speak we get in media interviews

For example, we know against the Bears McCoy was getting his usual double team while Chris Baker was getting the same treatment, freeing our linebackers to run wild with little or no opposition. How did Baker’s absence due to illness influence our play in the center of the d-line and trickle down to the rest of our defensive performance?

This is the kind of stuff I would like to hear from the players themselves instead of the usual coach/player speak or the bashing from fans.

  106. Bucfanbf Says:

    Dusty Rhodes
Well said sir. I also disagree with the kneeling at the playing of the National Anthem. I don’t give a crap if they ant to protest because our constitution gives them that right to do so. Find another venue to protest if that is what you want to do. Will probably be called a racist for this comment but to the eyes of some black people all white men are just racists.
    Signed “The Racist”

  107. Brad Isherwood Says:

    @ Joe says

Is the QB a 40 IQ Zombie following play book and % you will fail?

Or does the QB take Charge**…like great QBs do……and make the call.

Run and shoot could be Basketball….both are same same.
You Throw high…and you throw lead.
    Basketball is catch and shoot..

Bucs receivers get high catch or clutch catch/sideline .. lead of the pass means you run out on sideline,.or if ya get lucky… ..it’s the broken one on one tackle and end zone Dance!

Posters following this thread wonder WTF is Mouse Davis, ..or JC Watts…
Condredge Holloway and Warren Moon were gods…If you could rate a QB who
    Commanded the field.

Jameis Winston ..Can…make the moment decision ,
Run and shoot, …Deep ball…. lead throw.

All the great QBs were opportunist

    Jameis Winston. …in the House : )

  108. tmaxcon Says:

just do your freaking job… the results and video speaks for itself. gmc led defenses play with no heart or passion and quit at the very first sign of adversity. those are historical facts the nuthuggers love to conveniently forget similar to the gerbils 3 bad seasons clearly outweigh his good. until the locker room cancer with a smile is off roster bucs will never compete seriously. they are mentally weak with 93 incharge

  109. tmaxcon Says:

the players will pay significantly for all the kneeling in the cba… ratings are dropping like a rock and the majority of nfl revenue comes from tv money. the players are cutting their own throats and will be costing future players money. do something constructive. kneeling is not constructive. these pampered babies have no concept of oppression

  110. 813bucboi Says:

Some say that it “does not mean the same thing to others”, But they know it does mean something to other!!!!!

killing unarmed black men means something to others….it mean nothing to the president and those who follow and support him…..

@dusty….metal illness isn’t the problem….the problem is untrained/poorly trained officers being trigger happy….especially when it comes to black men…..

question for you…..how do feel about a white woman being pulled over by a white officer and as the officer approaches her she has her hands up saying please don’t shoot…then the officer replies,” we only shot black people”….WTF….someone who is suppose to protect and serve says they only shot black people…it came straight from the horses mouth….but you see nothing wrong with that….you cant understand why people protest….it has nothing to do with the flag, it has everything to do with police officers like this and people that refuse to identify the real problem like the president…..GO BUCS!!!!

  111. Curse of Gruden Says:

If snowflake Geraldine can’t take criticism, he needs to get off social media. The trolls already smell blood.

  112. Just the facts ma'am Says:

Let’s stick to the facts and not emotional rhetoric. The facts are twice as many whites are killed by police than blacks. Of black homicide victims, only 4% are killed in police interactions while 89.3% are killed by other blacks. Maybe these athletes would be better served by shining a light on the absurdity of our people killing their own?

  113. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

There are bad barbers in the world, bad soldiers, bad cops, bad football players, etc, the cops are not robots….its not difficult if a cop asks you to comply do it, 99% of all police officers want to go home to their families in one piece. There isn’t a cop out there thinking I am going to kill someone today. 20% of all police shootings have been when the person shot has had a known mental illness the rest this year is unknown. Only 32 police shootings this year were unarmed so, again….the main thing to get is that there needs to be an open honest dialogue between the so called leaders in this nation. This dialogue will never happen because there are too many ppl that allow this to continue in US society are going to lose money, there is an entire political party that thrives on keeping huge segments of the population in their same station and would lose out on money and votes if that ever changed

  114. The Buc Realist Says:

    @813bucboi

If it is not about the flag, then why are they insulting and disrespecting the Flag for the 2 minutes that we are honoring the flag!!!!!!!

Funny how Jerry Jones found a way to bring light to an issue without insulting or being disrespectful to the The Great American Flag!!!!

And just asking, but will the “protest” expand to larger problems??? like minors that are armed, or black on black crime, or gang violence that all seem like larger problems in the community???

    Go Bucs!!!!!!!!!!

  115. Steven007 Says:

Realist, you can’t disrespect a flag. Because it’s an embroidered piece of cloth and has no feelings. It is however a symbol. And the symbol deserves respect. The First Amendment says that the government may not prohibit the expression of an idea simply because Society finds the idea itself offensive or disagreeable. The way to preserve the flags special role is not to punish those who feel differently about these matters. It is to persuade them that they are wrong. William Brennan wrote that in his majority opinion in 1989. Persuasion is much different than what I see taking place. But it’s what needs to be done.

  116. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

    @45
Lol u just said “get over” racism? That’s the whitest thing I’ve ever heard. So how bout u STFU!!!!!!!!🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐

  117. DB55 Says:

Sorry for the delay in posting, dealing with a humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico.

As for GMC good for him, he’s finally getting mad so much so I actually seen him push a Viking after the whistle. Whoa! Baby steps but I’ll take it.

Wish I could take him up on his offer but I have to work. Maybe I’ll swing by Saturday with some ice cream and we can talk.

  118. Buc1987 Says:

The Buc Realist …yes let’s not talk about black on black crime. Let’s talk about those evil white racist cops. LMAO. You can’t make this stuff up. I don’t think TRUMP is doing the dividing.

  119. Buc1987 Says:

    Joe that was sarcasm btw…

  120. Buc1987 Says:

Realist I’ll lock arms with you and protest on Dale Mabry against black on black crime which should be of much higher concern within the community, but alas it’s not. It’s the evil white people. Blacks are killing blacks at an extremely high rate. When’s the last time CNN talked about the that?

  121. lurker Says:

wow…buc1987 is one of the fools
    smh

  122. 45 Says:

    MIKEEVANS GOAT!!
Dude Im not white !!! And yes get over it!! You telling me to STFU and you don’t even know me is the Blackest think I ever heard!!
