Bucs List Grimes On Injury Report

September 20th, 2017

Who sat out?

Here is a new one for the injury report.

Stud Bucs corner Brent Grimes had limited participation in practice today with an undisclosed shoulder injury. He was one of five Bucs listed.

Thankfully, weakside linebacker Lavonte David is not on the list. Joe had a suspicion he might be. David left Sunday’s win over the Bears with what was described as cramps. Joe noticed David heavily limping both entering and exiting the locker room but he wasn’t wearing a boot. In the locker room after Sunday’s win, David mentioned to prized JoeBucsFan.com columnist Ira Kaufman he had a hurt foot.

Kwon Alexander (hamstring), Chris Baker (!) (illness), Gerald McCoy (ankle) and Jacquies Smith (illness) did not participate in practice as well.

Linebacker Devonte Bond, however, fully participated.

Fatty Baker probably lost power and had his wings thawed out and refrozen and he grilled them anyway and probably has the runs.

  2. pick6 Says:

some of those are veteran rest days, i would imagine. list a body part or “illness”, let the player sit for a day

  3. Lunchbox Says:

    Chris Baker (fatness, laziness)

  4. Locked In Says:

Grimes sucks! Just kidding, checking to see if Miko is watching.

We are in great shape for injuries so far. I hope our luck holds up. Injuries are a factor for every team and can derail a season if you get bit. Bucs so far seem good, just hope our luck holds. I don’t want Fitz to take a meaningful snap all season.

  5. Rod Munch Says:

I read the article earlier that said the Bucs had the shortest injury report in the league… then you look and it turns out the Vikings have less injury concerns than the Bucs.

    @ Lunchbox LOL

  7. Defense Rules Says:

Four defensive starters hurting (Grimes, Kwon, GMC & Baker) after Game 1 plus another starter (David) limping. And oh ya, flu running through the locker room. Next game’s not until Sunday. Any more good news Joe?

  8. ARGH_M8E Says:

hahahahahah, these men don’t give a foooook (conor mcgregor voice) about an injury report, we’re gonna roll out a badass competitive football team week in week out!!!! Theres a new vibe for sure:) LETS GOOOO

  9. Dewey Selmon Says:

Joe, can you put my fears to rest? Hammy’s are bad news and Kwon has been hampered pre Irma. Any chance Beckwith starts Sunday?

  10. '74 Bucs Fan Says:

No chance in hell Dewey that Kwon sits. He said he could have finished the game. David has a leg cramp – first he’s ever had, per another official bucs website I won’t mention.

  11. Joe Says:

Well, Beckwith is starting regardless. But if you are asking if Beckwith might start for Kwon, of course. How much of a chance is a different story.

Anyone on the injury report has a chance of not playing.

  12. Easy Denman Says:

I hope Jacquies is ready to go this week.

  13. MadMax Says:

    Come on Grimes….need ya Bro!

  14. Capt.Tim Says:

Losing Grimes would hurt us bad.
Even Glennon was eating up Hargreaves last week, until McCoy hit him a couple times, and gave him happy feet.
Smith is green. Talented, but green

McClain would be our best CB, If Grimes doesnt play.
And a lil green behind him.
    Not good- if Bradford plays

LVD had cramps because he BALLED OUT!!!

He ran so much! He ran so hard! He ran so fast!

    LVD had a great game!

Any of you fools talking about cutting him are mentally challenged!

We could have the best LB corps in the NFL this year or next year!!

LVD, Kwon and Beckwith are all BALLERZ!

    Go Bucs!!
