Your Buccaneers Practice Squad — For Now

September 3rd, 2017

Riley Bullough will stick around

Everyone is throwing back shots this afternoon in the velvet-lined lounge at the Vero Beach Ramada Inn.

Why? Freddie Martino has a job again with the Bucs.

Tampa Bay filled its 10 practice squad slots with some Hard Knocks stars and other familiar names and new faces.

Here’s the list, which will change steadily throughout the season.

DE       Sterling Bailey
LB        Riley Bullough
RB       Russell Hansbrough*
FB       Austin Johnson
S          Isaiah Johnson
OL       Mike Liedtke
T          Marquis Lucas
WR      Freddie Martino
CB       Jonathan Moxey
LB        Eric Nzeocha
WR      Bobo Wilson

    Joe’s,
I’m sure you know this already but, the nearest Ramada Inn to Vero Beach is located in Cocoa. About 70 miles north.
I only say this in case any of your readers try to book a room to try to catch Martino’s act at that velvet-lined lounge.
It does sound like a nice place to go though.

  2. SoFlo Buc Says:

HArd Knocks must have been only airing some negative stuff about BoBo because I didnt see him as talented enough to put up with what I saw!! AS A Nole I was rooting for him until that episodes

  3. webster Says:

Where are all the bobo wilson bashers who were making judgements about his character off of a 20 second edit job?

  4. DR FEELGOOD Says:

I hope Bo Bo stops acting like a douchebag now that he has renewed hope on the practice squad!! For a guy who’s proven nothing, he sure has a boat load of attitude!! Channel that the right way, young man, because you have talent. GO BUCS!!

  5. webster Says:

    @ soflo

What you say is called editing. You dont know what you saw because they took 10 seconds from a convo that probably lasted 3 minutes. Try not to be so gullable next time is the lesson you should learn.

  6. AlteredEgo Says:

Just realized McSnoop didn’t back it back….

  7. Patbucfan87 Says:

I’m a little surprised martino is still eligible to be on a practice squad. Must be his last year right, joe?

  8. Rich Says:

Joe, you mentioned 10 man practice squad…there are 11 names???

  9. Rod Munch Says:

webster – It was actually more like 2-mins and he did come off like a complete and total d-bag. I sort of agree with you for those that want to throw the guy completely under the buss forever. However again it was a solid 2-mins of a guy being a complete d-bag, it’s not like it was one clip, it was a bunch of clips from different times. Still it’s up to coaches on what they want to deal with and maybe if Bobo has any self awareness he’ll watch the clip and realize he’s a d-bag and make some changes – but probably not. I’m actually interested to see how big of a d-bag he is on this week’s episode since he did something in the game – if they highlight him again acting the same way then it’s a really bad sign, if they don’t mention him that much then it’s a good sign. We shall see.

  10. Cobraboy Says:

@Rich: the Bucs have an exemption for a foreign player.

  11. Cobraboy Says:

An interesting possible unintended consequence for the entire PS coming from guys in training camp is that future UFA’s note the higher possibility of signing with the Bucs, that the PS is a stronger possibility.

    Great recruiting tool.

  12. Batman Wood Says:

First time I can remember all of our practice squad players being players we just cut.

  13. Dave Pear Says:

    Cobraboy,
Is that a real thing? I have never heard of it but, then again, there really aren’t a ton of foreign players in the NFL.

  14. Dave Pear Says:

    Cobraboy,
I forgot to ask…How long is that exemption good for?

  15. Getaclue Says:

Mcsnoop is on the 49ers practice squad

  16. SoFlo Buc Says:

    “Webster

I was also basing my opinion on what the Tallahassee boys were saying on the new pod cast. They weren’t very complimentary either.
Again actually was rooting for the kid but hate kids that are disrespectful or have me first attitude.

  17. Johnnie Says:

I’m surprised mcnichols wasn’t practice squaded I wonder if he was offered and turned it down

  18. Rod Munch Says:

McNichols needs to be in a state where it’s legal to buy weed.

  19. buccfan305 Says:

Some one please tell me how the F#@k Luke Stocker keeps slipping throught
The cracks and not get cut each year? In 6 years he has 49 receptions for 382 yards and 2 TD’S WTF. That’s dead weight. We could keep BoBo Wilson for that. At least he is great on kick returns/speacial teams and could step in at WR if need be.

  20. '74 Bucs Fan Says:

305 – Stocker can block. Thought I’d put on my Captain Obvious cape for a moment.

  21. darin Says:

Dirty Bully can be a bouncer at the vero beach ramada inn lounge now. Only the nights Freddie is performing of course

  22. darin Says:

    N buccfan
Anyway who wants to keep bobo wilson should be instead called fuccban

  23. unbelievable Says:

@johnnie he ended up on the 49ers practice squad, I’m not sure the Bucs even wanted him.

@buccfan305 the Bucs value his blocking enough that he has survived 4 coaches…

  24. Stanglassman Says:

Was that Mcdumbasses choice or did the Bucs not want him? Not sure how that works.

  25. Stanglassman Says:

Riley is a perfect scout PS player. Smart, vocal plus MLB.

  26. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Very happy Riley Bullough is there. A couple surprises that are not…Walker, the QB (can’t think of his name) and Jeremy.

Honestly, this squad looks more like reserves than pure developal guys. Depth.

Hits on a bunch of different positions.

  27. SB Says:

    Dave Pear Drops the Mic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  28. Cobraboy Says:

@ Dave Pear: One year only. All NFC South Teams have it this year, outreach for foreign players. I recall the Bucs guy is Nigerian, a DB of some sort.

I don’t think they are 53-man roster eligible, but I could be wrong.

    It’s like a player’s internship.

  29. Trubucfan22 Says:

So I watched hard knocks, and I didn’t think anything bobo said was out of line. He was frustrated with not getting many chances to prove himself. He is used to being a star level player. It is a huge adjustment for him to be just a practice player. I don’t mind him getting frustrated, as long as he uses it to push himself. It can go 1 of 2 ways. He gives up trying, or fights his butt off to get noticed. We will see which path he chooses later in the year. I’m still cheering for the guy (I’m not even an fsu fan).

  30. Tom Says:

IMO I would have went after Whitfield WR Bengals & Williams RB.
