What Winston Is Working On

July 19th, 2017

Whoa! Training camp starts next week! And every sane Bucs fan knows a huge key to the 2017 season is the improvement (hopefully) of 23-year-old Jameis Winston.

That’s the video subject of today’s Lunch With Real Rock Riley, the well known local multimedia maven. (Miss Monday’s report and chat with Reidel Anthony? Click here.) Enjoy!

Rock Riley adds so much to JBF with his energy and enthusiasm.
We have so many weapons at receiver now, that teams will be forced to blitz us even more, then they did in the past.
IMHO, our success or failure this season, will be dictated by the performance of our offensive line, specifically our ability to pick up the exotic blitz schemes we are sure to see.
Think about it, if you are the defensive coordinator of another team, would you really allow all our receivers to run around downfield, with a big armed QB like Jameis back there ?

Another great report Rock. Nice to hear from Bajakian about what Winston is working on this off season.

Rock – you’ve got to get those volumes leveled out on the interview portions brother.

“Jameis has been on his back too much in the last 2 years” – Preach Rick Preach!

Lovin the vids! Only a few more weeks to TC!

Jamies release definitely looks improved just looking at these cut ups – keeping that ball high and it’s coming out pretty fast. I never had a problem with his throwing motion tho

I am getting a newfound respect for coach Bajakian.Good to know he is working wth Jameis on cutting down turnovers, footwork and precise ball placement. All of these things will make Jameis and his receiving corp great!

Yea release looks good on most of those, better than when he was a prospect. I wasnt one to complain about his non fundamental release back then, but its cool to see he’s become more natural at something they think will make him better. Saw at least one of those throw showing remnants of his older release so maybe its still something hes working on, or maybe itll just come out from time to time depending on how comfortable he wants to feel on a particular pass.

Agree completely Chris! I’ve loved Rock’s enthusiasm and his positive attitude ever since I first saw him on Bay News Nine.

    @Joe…

I just gotta say I admire what you have done with this site!!! You could have rested a bit on your laurels…you could have always presented only you guys in the very best light…but you guys are obviously comfortable in your own skin and do not worry about adding “stars” to your roster.

I gotta believe the Bucs are going to blow up big time!!! There will be more additions to the intertubes of “Buc sites”…the competition for JBF will only intensify and it’s clear you guys are up to the task!!! Again kudos guys.

    This site rocks!

Love your work Rock, but your audio is consistently terrible. You are over modulated; the videos are a little under; and Winston’s presser was way to low…

Should have a Rocky Marciano pic of he wants the greatest

I agree guys. How can you not love Rock Riley? I can’t wait to see his reports once the games start.
