  1. Buc1987 Says:

Christian McCaffery sorry NOS. I’ve looked at the tape too many times. He edges out Cook for his ability to line up in the slot if needed. It’s like 51 to 49 though percentage wise.

  2. DallasBuc Says:

AP is perfect for right now. Would virtually take double coverage off the table with the threat of him in the backfield.

  3. D-Rome Says:

I selected other. Three of those names may not be available in the draft when the Bucs select (and the Bucs should *not* move up for a RB). AP is past his prime, Jamaal Charles is past his prime, and the Bucs should have nothing to do with Drug Martin.

  4. tmaxcon Says:

Anyone who would count on Doug Martin probably still counts on the tooth fairy and Santa clause. Martin was not even any damn good in the first the majority of his time here he sucked and was hurt. Raise your standards folks. If you like the basement or being irrelevant keep failing in love with mediocre players but shut up when 9-7 or 8-8 is best you can hope for with a team of unreliable players like Martin

  5. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Posted at 9:11 am. Illuminati confirmed.

  6. Erik w/ Clean Athletics 'The Kwon Alexander of Bucs Fans' Says:

No option for Samaje Perine, Joes?

Are u out of the loop? Lol

Alot of Buc fans want Perine…

I think way more people want Perine than Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles.

Do a new poll including Perine and I think u would be pretty surprised with the results…

If Mike Alstott and Michael Turner had a baby (Lmao), it would be Samaje Perine.

  7. Joe Says:

    No option for Samaje Perine

So Joe should have also included Freddie Stevenson?

Poll was long enough as it is. Didn’t feel like including 50 options.

  8. Joeypoppems Says:

I voted for Othet. That other guy for me is Kareem Hunt. I like the value of the Day 2 and 3 RBs this year and I would take Hunt over Mack. If I had to choose between the 1st round RBs it would be Cook, Fournette, McCaffrey in that order. McCaffrey’s skill set is too similar to Charles Sims for me. McCaffrey is obviously much more talented than Sims tho.

  9. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Freddie stevenson is a fullback no? And Sameje is a better option than Marlon Mack.

  10. Nick2 Says:

So the early results are a little messed up. I mean anyone that knows college football knows Fournette is a beast who can do anything at 240 lbs. Cook is definitely the 2nd best back but I would take him in a heartbeat. He just doesn’t have the every down back skills that Fournette has.

  11. ndog Says:

I say get a elite level player in the first (BPA with a focus on WR, RB, TE) then focus the rest of the draft on BPA via need. I would love a draft like the below:

    1.) OJ Howard (TE Bama)
    2.) Budda Baker (S Wash)
    3.) Marlon Mack (RB USF)
4.) Taywan Taylor (WR Western Kentucky)
    5.) Marquez White (CB FSU)
    6.) Freddie Stevenson (FB FSU)
    7.) Ricky Seals-Jones (WR Texas A&M)

  12. SteveK Says:

    “Other”

    Kareem Hunt- Toledo

    http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/kareem-hunt?id=2557917

  13. captjimbo Says:

ndog, no lineman? Are you happy with our line play with our line play on either side of the ball the way it stands?

  14. Capt.Tim Says:

Marlon Mack or Kareem hunt for me. You can get Rbs all thru the draft. No reason to waste our 1st round pick on one.

  15. ndog Says:

Hunt and Perine are to slow fellas we need some speed, some take it to the house SPEED!!!!!!

  16. DB55 Says:

Does mccaffrey run between the tackles or is he an edge runner? Can he bang?

  17. ndog Says:

captjimbo I go with bpa every time and the value just isn’t there in this draft for me and they have all but announced they are not drafting olineman so there out.

  18. Bucballbaby84 Says:

Adrian Peterson will be in a bucs jersey taking handoffs from Jameis in 2017. He will be signed shortly after the draft.

  19. Bucballbaby84 Says:

Oh and somehow Marlon Mack drops to them in the 4th round and they take him cause that’s a steal.

  20. Erik w/ Clean Athletics 'The Kwon Alexander of Bucs Fans' Says:

    @ Joes,

I only brought up Perine bcuz he’s my personal favorite option and GUARANTEE he’s in the Top-5 for overall popularity with Buc fans at this point in time.

  21. Blake_bucsfan Says:

    @ndog

Jerome Bettis ran a 4.7, and Frank Gore ran a 4.64.

    Were they too slow?

  22. DB55 Says:

Bettis was slow af. Come on! He could run threw tacklers though.

  23. PhillyBucsFan Says:

ndog, I’d like that draft a lot!! As far as o-line, if sweat plays a down, I believe we’all be ok. I’d love Cook in rd 1, but realistically speaking, this draft is RB heavy and we can get one later in the draft… If Howard is there, he’s the pick!

  24. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

mixon round 2 or 3, cook will be gone…get WR or OL

  25. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Joe Mixon, but I think he’s fall as far as the 4th, so I say we take him in the 3rd.

  26. Bucfan87 Says:

The poll asked, who do you want the most!….How is it not 100% Fournette? I understand it’s unrealistic that he would fall to us, so he should be taken out of the poll and I’ll take Cook!

  27. Brandon Says:

I’d take Curtis Samuels of Ohio St above all of them. He could carry 10 times a game and get another 5 touches on catches. He is the ultimate X factor in the draft. He’s the 2nd fastest player in the draft and is extremely fast on the field. He is what Percy Harvin was supposed to be. Get the kid in the 2nd round, throw a RB’s number on him and line him up all over the field. Grab another RB in round 3 or 4 =, draft Njoku in round 1, and our offense is set for years.

  28. Blake_bucsfan Says:

That was kinda my point DB. With Sameje Perines size and power he doesnt have to be super fast.

  29. Capt.Tim Says:

    Love this time of year!
Man, wish we could trade our 19th pick, for another 2nd and a 4th!
Then my draft starts to fall in place.
Or we sign a couple more FAs.
Wonder why we havent brought in T.J.Macdonald-safety- for a visit?

  30. DB55 Says:

    Brandon

You got the right one baby, uh huh!

    Blake
I guess it would help if I read your first comment, lol, my bad. Please continue….

  31. PRBucFan Says:

    McCaffery please

  32. 813bucboi Says:

    donte foreman…..

    1st-jarrad davis-LB
    2nd-zay jones-WR
    3rd-donte foreman-RB
    4th-dalvin Tomlinson-DT
    5th-rayshawn Jenkins-S
    6th-jeremy spinkle-TE
    7th-donnel pumphrey-RB

  33. Bucballbaby84 Says:

T.j. McDonald has legal troubles going on right now and his status from that is up in the air and that’s why he is still unsigned.

  34. Bucballbaby84 Says:

@813bucboi why in the world would you want them to draft a linebacker in the first round? Why on earth would they draft a linebacker that would only play about 35 percent of the time? That’s a complete waist of a first round pic boss. Smh

  35. Erik w/ Clean Athletics 'The Kwon Alexander of Bucs Fans' Says:

    813,

Donte foreman has unproven power and his accelaration isn’t great, so he’ll have alot of tackles to break, which he hasn’t proven that he can do based on his current running style. He’s also horrible is pass protection.

Perine is a way more powerful back and has top-end speed to take it to the house.

  36. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

D@$! what a coinkydink.. Guess me an Fameis aren’t the only “homers” after all😊..

  37. gotbbucs Says:

There is not a more pointless position to waste a 1st round pick on in this draft than RB.

  38. Bucballbaby84 Says:

Take a look at all the running backs we’ve drafted in the 1st round over the history of the bucs that were worth our first round pick… ok now name one??? Guess what… there isn’t one.

  39. Bucballbaby84 Says:

I know someone is going to say warrick Dunn and he was a good running back but he wasn’t worth a first round pick.

  40. 813bucboi Says:

@bucball…obviously you don’t know j.davis….he is a 3 down backer….if anything kwon would come off the field due to his limitations in coverage…..davis excels in coverage and blitzing/rushing the passer and is a thumper in the run game……

also, we need a athletic linebacker that can run slide to slide and chase down freeman&coleman…j.stewart&cook or fournette…and m.ingram&____……while those teams load up on offense, we need to counter that with a great defense…..

I would love for him to be wearing pewter and red….I aint the only one…bucky brooks shares my views to….check out his mock draft…..#DEFENSEWINSCHAMPIONSHIPS……GO BUCS!!!!

  41. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Hey joe you should do a poll concerning which florida college people root for.

  42. 813bucboi Says:

@nole….cooks stock is falling…..just wait until a few more prospects have their pro day….

@erik…..foreman rushed for over 100+yards in every single game this past year…..plenty of tackle breaking ability….along with elusiveness, speed and burst….regarding his pass pro, I would say he wont be any worse than any other rookie rb entering the league….the kid can catch but wasn’t asked to come out of the back field and do so….he’s bigger and faster than perine….perine will be the next mike Tolbert….don’t think we’re looking for that…..GO BUCS!!!!!

  43. Blake_bucsfan Says:

    813bucboi

You are out of your mind. Kwon is the best young Lb in the league and he’s only getting better. And Perine is a lot closer to the next Frank Gore than he is the next Tolbert.

  44. Bucballbaby84 Says:

I seen Buckys mock draft and many ppl are laughing at the fact with me. Every podcast I’ve listened to that has to deal with the bucs has them all laughing at his mock draft as well. Won’t happen. Ever! Sorry boss

  45. 813bucboi Says:

@blake….if you know kwon, and have watched the bucs, you would know that he’s a liability in coverage….he played better, but he’s staill a liability….

@bucball…lol….laugh now cry later……it isn’t that farfetched….common sense actually…..I bet those same people laughed when bucky had cook falling to us in his previous mocks….yeah…right….GO BUCS!!!!!

  46. D-Rome Says:

Spending a first round pick on a RB is a foolish decision. I can see the FSU honks and mouth breathers are out in full force on this one. First round picks are premium picks. The RB is no longer a premium position in the NFL. I’m not sure why this is too hard for some of you guys to understand.

  47. 813bucboi Says:

    @BLAKE….they have compared j.yearby to frank gore….not perine….maybe jones-drew…..no way he’s being compared to frank gore….lol….GO BUCS!!!!

  48. Bucballbaby84 Says:

Oh boy it’s one of those guys who has to have the last word and tries using the common sense really phrase. I’m done with that convo.

  49. Tbbucs3 Says:

Mccafrey will be no more than a Reggie Bush in the NFL. The tape may look good but watch the defensive players he’s going against. PAC 12 defenses are bad.

  50. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Congratulations DC on inking that endorsement deal with them Nike people. Already cashin inn on y’all candy @$$..

  51. TarzanTheBucsFan Says:

BucBoi if that was our draft i would cry. No need for a lb in rd 3. Rd 4 is the highest i would go

  52. TarzanTheBucsFan Says:

    Rd 1 my bad

  53. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Oh before I slide ( was suppose to be gone til around draft night ) that man I hope Licht drafts that 6’6 278lbs Shaheen. I absolutely love TE with basketball backgrounds. The man said this team will be built in the mold of NE pats. I guess that’s means s TE that dwarfts even Gronk. No issue with the small school dudes. If you do your homework you’ll see the Steelers of the 70s were built on those guys. Oh well in out again sure this time just had to get a cheap laugh in.. Homers???😀

  54. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Bro I’ve watched every single bucs game of the last 5 years, and Kwon is a beast. Idk where you came up with him being a liabilty in coverage, but you straight up crazy if you think that.

And I’m the one comparing Perine to Gore.

  55. 813bucboi Says:

    @tarzan….I would too….tears of joy!!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!!

  56. 813bucboi Says:

you haven’t watch them closely…..kwon is a beast no doubt(in run support) but his coverage skill cause him to be a liability….he played better last year in coverage but still has a ton of work to do….j.davis is worthy of a first round pick and is a clear up grade over Darryl smith…

I knew you had to be the one to compare him to gore because no one else on earth would make that comparison….perine screams jones-drew, ray rice, mike Tolbert all day…..GO BUCS!!!!

  57. BigHogHaynes Says:

OTHER=MIXON ROUND 3….then BUILD THE DAMN WALL!

  58. Joeypoppems Says:

Daryl Smith played less than 50% of snaps. Doesn’t take much to upgrade over that. Imo Kwon isn’t enough of a “liability” in coverage to justify using a 1st round pick to “upgrade” his spot. Drafting a LB early is a waste.

  59. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Sounds to me like you’ve been reading to many bogus PFF articles. Kwon might not be Ed Reed, but to say he’s liability in coverage? That’s just ludicrous. Wasnt a liablity when he had that pick 6 against the Rams…

Also don’t how it’s a stretch to compare Perine to Gore. Both are sub 6 foot bruisers with great vision and tenacity, and they both run about the same speed. MJD was a bowling ball of a runner too, but faster than Sameje.

Ray Rice was more of a bursty one cut back, like Druggie. And Tolbert is a fullback. So I honestly haven’t the faintest idea what the heck you are talking about.

  60. Joeypoppems Says:

Honestly, it wouldn’t shock me if Perine was eventually used as a FB

  61. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Wasn’t liability against the falcons in they’re house as a rookie. And the Perine Tolbert comparison is flat out dumb. Perine is the only other RB in this class I’d be okay with drafting. I think you got the wrong panther you might wanna do a side by of Perine and Stewart they’re 813.

  62. Joeypoppems Says:

maybe not as a FB, but primarily as a short yardage/goal line back in a committee.

  63. Rod Munch Says:

None of the options… bring back Martin and see if head is right – AND draft someone like Mack in the 3rd or 4th round. No reason you can’t or won’t do both. If the team truly believes that Cook is an every down back, even then keep Martin around and see where his head is at, even if Cook is a every down back, if you can have one of the top RBs in the league carry the load while you transition to a new guy, why wouldn’t you. For you dopes that think Martin isn’t one of the top running backs in football when he’s healthy and his head is in the game, well you’re such a low IQ dope your opinion is worthless as the stats and accolades prove you wrong. In other words no matter what you do – keep Martin around, the last thing the Bucs need is to cut him and have him go to Carolina and rush for 1300 yards in 13 games and lead them to a 12-4 record.

  64. Blake_bucsfan Says:

@Joeypoppems maybe in the twilight of his career. But as it stands right now he appears to be a young stud Rb.

  65. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Man Perine is about to be beastly..

  66. Brett Says:

Draft Christian McCaffery and bring back Doug Martin if they think he is clean. McCaffery is the third WR and KR. Upgrade. And if martin can’t hack it or when Charles Sims gets injured, he is RB. He could be used in so many ways.

  67. Joeypoppems Says:

meh, I’m not as high on Perine as other people both on here and in general seem to be. Sure he could be a lead back, I think he will be most effective in a committee. I just don’t think he is dynamic enough on his own to be a lead back full time. Just my opinion tho.

  68. Buccaneers Says:

Can’t put all your eggs into a rookies basket. If they draft RB they better keep either Martin or Rodgers for depth. Simms not good enough for 12+ carries per game.

  69. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Pop watch video of a younger Johnathan Stewart and come back an explain the difference between the two players.

  70. Buc1987 Says:

    Bucballbaby84 Says:

“I know someone is going to say warrick Dunn and he was a good running back but he wasn’t worth a first round pick.”

    I disagree.

  71. Bucballbaby84 Says:

The most talented back in this draft is joe Mixon. Teams just gotta be afraid of him losing his cool with ignorant racist ppl. I wouldn’t use a first round pick on any of these running backs.

  72. Bucballbaby84 Says:

1st round players should be franchise players. Was warrick Dunn a franchise player??? Not that I remember cause he went to a different team for a few years. If a team is willing to let a player got to another team then he’s not a franchise player and wasn’t worth a first round pick.

  73. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Perine gone have a better career than mixon. I confidently say that because what’s inside they’re chest is different. One’s cowardice the other is grown manlike. We’ll see in ten or so years.

  74. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

And to whoever you were a few weeks ago when I was debating five or six of you go go gadget mccaffery-ites at the same time. You said something to the effect of “Nole I think its pretty much clear most of jbf rather have mccaffery”. Be thankful I can’t recall your tag homie.

  75. Bucballbaby84 Says:

How bout I put it this way… I would not use a first round pick on any player that has a ton of baggage or a history with the law no matter what his talent is. Which means no way in hell I’d draft Dalvin cook. Sorry for all you FSU Fans.

  76. Joeypoppems Says:

“Pop watch video of a younger Johnathan Stewart and come back an explain the difference between the two players.”

You mean the younger Johnathan Stewart that was very productive in a committee with DeAngelo Williams?

I’m not saying Perine will be a bust or anything. Just saying IMO he will be most effective in a committee. There is nothing wrong with that in today’s NFL.

  77. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Too bad you and gotbucs don’t own a team 84. Maybe you can do all that regulating on ya video game console. The people have spoken homeboy.

  78. Lamarcus Says:

From a football player I like to have Martin back. Plus a add a back in late round. Martin stats sucks but he is one the better talents and opposing teams notice him. Winston is better w him. Was this team had a better record w martin in the line up? Not on his personal issues but from a football TALENT I want martin back.

  79. Dubcity06 Says:

    No RB in 1st

  80. Pickgrin Says:

    Bucballbaby84 Says:
“Warrick Dunn – was a good running back but he wasn’t worth a first round pick.”

Um – 15,665 yards – 23rd most all purpose yards in NFL history. More than Edgerrin James, Jim Brown, Eric Dickerson, Steven Jackson, Jerome Bettis, James Brooks, Ricky Waters, Franco Harris, OJ Simpson, Fred Taylor, Dave Meggett, John Riggins, Roger Craig, Earl Campbell…..

Ever hear of any of those guys? LOL Warrick Dunn had more running and receiving yards then all of them.

    Wasn’t worth a 1st round pick – eh?

Having watched both extensively – I’d say Dalvin Cook is definitely a better prospect than Warrick Dunn was and if he were to somehow fall to 19 (very unlikely IMO) then Licht’s card runner should literally SPRINT to the podium to get King Goddell Cook’s name in writing.

Fingers crossed for Cook on draft night, but realistically, Dalvin will be long gone and we don’t need to be trading up in the 1st for a RB! McCaffrey will be a nice consolation prize. OJ Howard or Corey Davis would be even better…

  81. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Pick you say long gone everyday but you must not be studying the rosters of the teams drafting ahead of us. See I know he’s a super talent but you’re a GM and you need two starting O linemen a starting CB and a pass rusher what are you thinking come draft night??? Realistically the only team that worried me was Philly. And after analyzing they’re needs I can’t see it bro. Not if Pederson wanna remain a head coach for awhile. Check those rosters ahead of us bro. You’ll begin to see how very likely it is for him to indeed be there asset 19.

  82. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Another thing is this,I see people saying everyday”the RB position has been devalued in the NFL” in recent years. Maybe so but can you point out a single offense that is functioning without the presence of a RB??? You see I recall the “run & shoot” from years ago. Didn’t really utilize the RB all that much. Warren Moon didn’t really win all that many playoff games either.

  83. Buccfan37 Says:

NoS-BoS… go go gadget, that’s a good one!

  84. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

    😊

  85. Pickgrin Says:

NOS – Fournette will probably be drafted top 5. And he IS that good for a team that wants a straight up beast RB on 1st & 2nd down.

Cook will likely be chosen by either Carolina at 8 or Cincinnati at 9 IMO. If not, then Saints at 11, Philly at 14 or Indy at 15 are all realistic possibilities.

Bottom line – Cook’s tape is just too good to make it to 19. He is too good of a RB prospect to fall all the way to #19. You should know this as well as I do. If he falls to 15 or 16 – then some team is going to find the value irresistible and either draft him if they are on the clock or trade up for him before he gets to 19.

  86. Bucballbaby84 Says:

    I’m no ones homeboy. Lol

  87. Bucballbaby84 Says:

You don’t own the team either idiot. Lol

  88. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Totally disagree. And that ain’t homer talking. See 21st I find funny is y’all say its dumb to draft RBs in the first. But them you’ll swear certain guys will go early because of the hype associated with them. Stay tune draft night bro. I’ll walk you thru this.

  89. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Get out ya feeling 84and turn the gaming system off homeboy..

  90. Blake_bucsfan Says:

I just hope you don’t get your feelings hurt too badly when the cold harsh reality awaiting you inevitably strikes Nos. Don’t cry too hard when you realize you get no Dalvin and you’re out roughly 400 bucks.

  91. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

    😂We’ll soon see bro.

  92. bucNation Says:

voted cook obviously being a fsu guy would love to have him i’m finding it hard to find a situation where he’s there for us to take and we don’t get him he’s just such a talent at a big position of need like the people saying we should get on howard first round instead of a rb are y’all insane? seriously we already have cam brate on the roster tight end is a need i know but not a glaring need were we need to spend a first round pick on it lol rb for sure is a dalvin is the truth i can tell u that cus the o lines he was running behind as a nole were BAAAD i mean real bad. but anyways if he’s not there i say we draft defensive back or d line just because there is so much talent and we still need to keep adding there i wouldn’t be opposed to a rb in say the 3rd round there’s a lot of good ones this year

  93. Eric Says:

rodmunch you’re absolutely right about doug. Bring him back he’s a beast when healthy.

tmaxcon you get dumber and dumber everyday. Your player analysis is terrible. You discredit doug way too much.

  94. Bucballbaby84 Says:

I did say Adrian Peterson would be in a bucs uniform after the draft right??? N I was told I was crazy right??? My eyes must be deceiving me cause I could swear I just seen a picture in Jenna laine’s twitter with fameis Jameis and a.p. Together in Dallas where they are working out together… hmm I’m crazy. Lol
