“Mooch” All In On Cook

March 28th, 2017

Believes in Dalvin Cook.

Why not listen to a man who was a successful offensive coach in the NFL?

Former 49ers coach Bill Walsh disciple and NFL Network talking head Steve Mariucci left no doubt yesterday. When it comes to running backs in the draft, “Mooch” would be willing to bank on one man for sure.

That would be Florida State running back Dalvin Cook.

“Mooch” took to Twitter to give the man many rate as the top running back in the draft — and a favorite of Bucs fans — his seal of approval.

@SteveMariucci: @dalvincook is a GameChanger ! Will be very successful in the NFL !

There you have it. Now if Bucs fans can do rain dances, chant to the gods, howl at the moon, rub rabbits feet, squeeze rosary beads, light candles and throw enough salt over their shoulders, perhaps Cook could slide to, say, the early teens and enable Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht to go get him.

Mike Evans, Cam Brate, Flash Jackson, Cook and America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston? Now you’re cooking with gas.

Joe remembers two years ago who “Mooch” suggested the Bucs should draft. It was a quarterback out of Florida State. How’d that turn out?

Great recipe for success you’ve got there. Drop the Bucs GM, Jason Licht, and start making draft picks based on what television talking heads have to say. I’m sure that would work out wonderfully. He said the Bucs should draft Winston? Well there you go! That’s plenty of evidence, right?

I’ve got a better idea. How about we let the guy who will probably turn out to be the best GM in franchise history make the pick? You know, that guy named Jason Licht? And let the big mouths on t.v. do their thing by spouting off in front of the camera and getting it right about 10% of the time. How’s that sound?

  2. Jason Says:

Four more weeks!!!! This gonna be good…

  3. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Why not listen to Jason Licht on the subject of Tight End Joe?

Not sure where or when Joe suggested that but props for a vivid imagination. 🙂

  5. Joe Says:

Why not listen to Jason Licht on the subject of Tight End Joe?

    It’s not a need.

  6. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

    Cook unofficial 4.39

  7. ISH Says:

Welp, it’s settled then.. the Mooch has spoken.

  8. Bald Head Says:

COOK,yea pretty dam good.CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREY ALL EVERYTHING,SUPER GOOD!!!?

  9. Buc4Lyfe79 Says:

The same “mooch” that believed in Joey Harrington smh..don’t know how that bodes for Cook…just saying, the guy believed in Joey Harrington

  10. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

This draft is the least predictable in a while. I have no idea who will or won’t be there at 19. Especially with the garbage crop of qbs. Who knows if one of these teams reach for a QB or they take the blue chip defensive prospects. I’ve seen mocks where Cook slides and others with Corey Davis falling. I’m ok with either of those guys as long as we draft one of each in the first three rounds. Or maybe another cb or de? This draft is LOADED on defense and we could use help on both sides of the ball.

  11. Ben Says:

Ive been watching highlights on RBs that may be available in rounds 2-4 and there certainly could be case for waiting to draft one in these rounds as the value seems to be there, and in the first round focus on a position that may not offer much value later.
I was not sold on the Samaje Perine pick at first but is it just me or does this guy look faster in the games than his 40 time. He seems to have some breakaway speed to go along with his power. Kind of reminds me of a Michael Turner. This guy just beasts out.

  12. The Buc Realist Says:

    @Joe

    “It’s not a need.”

Are you sure???? You just heard the GM say that the FB position is not as needed as past years because the offense is evolving into the 4-vert offense!!!!! TE can help the tackles on the o-line and be a dynamic weapon!!!!

They are moving away from “protecting” JW3 with the run game, and moving to “unleashing” JW3 to the passing game!!!!!

look how Head Coach Koetter evolved Altanta’s offense during his time there!!!!

    Go Bucs!!!!!!!!

  13. NJBucsFan Says:

That’s enough for me to pass on Cook

  14. Bucco bruce Says:

Cook McCaffrey Or oline. Can you hear it now number three hands to number 4 for a Touchdown Tampa Bay Cannon’s go off

  15. Eric Says:

    Totally obvious.

    Get Cook.

  16. Blake_bucsfan Says:

According to Licht it most certainly is a need Joe. I’ve posted the quote detailing that sentiment a few times now, so I won’t post it again, but we’ve interviewed the 3 top TE’s, and had the 2 top guys visit OBP.

We wouldn’t waste those visits on a position that licht didnt think was a need.

  17. Pickgrin Says:

it would take a 2nd rd pick to get up to #12. 3rd to get to #15. 4th to move up to #17.

As good as Cook is – I say no way to moving up in the 1st rd for a RB. We have too many other needs and there are a lot of good backs available this year in rds 2>4 if Cook or McCaffrey are not available at 19.

And Joe – your take that another good TE is “not a need” is ridiculous. Especially considering the # of very good TEs in this draft. We may not be drafting a TE in rds 1 or 2 but I can pretty much much guarantee you the Bucs will draft a TE this year – and obviously that would not be the case if TE was “not a need”. Just because Brate scored 8 TDs last year does not mean we are set at TE…

  18. 813bucboi Says:

@buc4lyfe and @njbuc…I agree….pass on cook…plenty of other good rbs to choose from…

@pickgrin….I agree….look for Jeremy sprinkle out of Arkansas after the 4th round…big, athletic, decent hands and is a nasty blocker….or bucky hodges out of VT…..he may go a little higher…..GO BUCS!!!!

  19. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

GOAT I told these mofos he was tanking his combine..

  20. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Joe I don’t know why you and many others seem to believe it is going to require a slide. What do we know 1 Fameis wanted Desean the minute he entered the league, he’s a Buc now 2 Fameis was asked about a indoor facility and was quoted as saying”oh yea we gone one of those”. Almost complete 3 Fameis wants Dalvin, I’m positive those weekly’s chats are already discussing the playbook. Again I could careless about future picks it will get Dunn. One or the other. 4 the fans clearly want him, men lie women lie numbers never lie. See you soon Mr. Dalvin.

  21. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Y’all really think if in wrong about this show being staged that Licht is going to sit still like he did for Spawn??? Really??? Let me hit that s@$! yo.. He just said “we expect to be drafting late in the draft going forward. Just said that.

  22. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

I’m done talking down about go go gadget mccaffery. Don’t need to the experts continue to tell you all who the true cream of this crop is.

  23. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

But I don’t think I’m wrong about it being staged. Jalem Ramsey born Smyna TN. Vernon Hargreaves roots in Tampa. You put it together.

  24. Doctor_Berto Says:

As long as we don’t get Mccaffery, thats worst case scenario in my opinion. Cook, corey davis or trade back

  25. Capt.Tim Says:

Cook would be a great pick. Doubt he gets to us.
But you never know. This is a strange draft. Without any highly ranked QBs to anchor, Ive seen top players move all over the place- on credible Mocks.

Again, one great truth in the draft. Everyone talks skill, but drafts the big guys first.
Cook might make it to us. If he does, hes a weapon.

I think he’ll be gone. Licht will stick with conventional wisdom
De at 19, Mack or Hunt in the third.
And Id be happy with that.

  26. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

    4.39 muthaf@$!a😠😠😠

  27. Lord Cornelius Says:

It’s weird how Joe hates the idea of us drafting a TE because it isn’t a need but thinks DE is more of a need…

DE depth – Robert Ayers / Will Gholston / Noah Spence / Jack Smith / 4 capable starters coveing 2 speed guys and 2 big body run guys

TE depth – Cam Brate – recieving TE / Luke Stocker – (basically an extra O-lineman / FB) / Brandon Meyers

None of those TEs scare defenses – including Brate. Brate is great working the seams and underneath zone but will not get big YAC and is mostly a great red zone weapon for us with his chemstry with Winston

We’re arguably more set at WR with ME / Djax / Hump than we are at TE with Brate / Stocker.

Our #2 TE could easily be on the field moreso than a #3/4 WR… but yeah it’s not a need or anything and we REALLY need to draft 2-3 WRs this year lol

  28. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Man you stay on them conspiracy theories man. What’s next? The Earth is flat?

  29. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Don’t get me started on that Blake, seeing as how it was considered flat for thousands of years prior to that agent copernicus coming around saying otherwise.

  30. bucs_365 Says:

Joe is an idiot. Trading up for Dalvin Cook? Ridiculous.

And yeah, we need a TE, Joe. Why? Because we’re one sprained ankle away from having no production in the passing game out of the TE position. Also, Koetter wants to run 2 TE sets. Duh. Jeezus, just accept that you’re wrong. If Koetter and Licht say TE is a need, then I believe it’s a need based on how they want to run the offense. How difficult is that?

  31. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Read Genesis 6. If you are a believer. Tell me what you see when you look to the sky??? How do too define that “expanse” that bible refers to in the word. I know I have a definition. They aired the show “under the dome”for a short while then killed it. I wonder why???

  32. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

362 be sure an email that sentiment to your GM after the draft potner.

  33. BUC55 Says:

Every time Joe writes this ridiculous BS about not needing a te, I just laugh. Compared to the other 31 teams, I would rate the Bucs talent at te in the bottom 10. Brate is a nice player…..as a backup. He is not even a starting caliber NFL te. He’s not fast or physical and does not block at all. Joe, what don’t you get about this? Yes he caught some excellent passes in the red zone last year. Good hands, smart, hard working etc. NFL starter…..no effing way. Wake up Joe.

  34. Capt.Tim Says:

    Time for Caps draft
    1. DE Taco Charlton. Pass rusher!!
    2. WR Zay Jones. Another great weapon.
    3. RB Marlon Mack. Replaces The undependable Doug Martin
    4. TE Adam Shaheen. To team with Cameron Brate
    5. S Fish Smithson. Free safety with skills to start.
    6. C Isaac Asiata. Coach Warhop will make him a starter
    7. CB Dez Lawrence. Has an honest shot to make the team
    8. Free agent- LB Hardy Nickerson ll, strong Side Lb, great bloodline

    Any thoughts?

No idea where that 4.39 is coming from, unless it was a typo.

  36. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Doubt Fameis would approve but that’s just me.

  37. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Now I do like that Adam Shaheen. That’s Gronk 2.0 yo.

  38. Capt.Tim Says:

    Buc55
    Brate not a starter?
    What????
Led the league in TDs by a TE!!
58 catches, 11.6 ydd per catch, 650 yards, 8 TDs

    You ever watched football before?

  39. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

I’m going wit the typo then. Whatever the case he was faster than he was recorded in Indy.

  40. Stpetebucsfan Says:

You can just see “IT” when Dalvin touches the ball. He THINKS he’s taking it to the house EVERY time he touches it….he honestly EXPECTS it. The dude is a game changer!!!!

  41. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

If that’s not a starter then what is???

  42. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Nos, I take it you’ve never been at the top of a tall building. Because you can see the curviture of the earth from 40 stories up. Satelite imaging, circu-mnavigation by air and sea… There isn’t a single shred of tangible evidence that supports the flat earth theory.

There is only one thing flat earthers can cling to. Ignorance.

  43. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

    @cpt Tim
No to taco, rather have Charles Harris if we have to take a De in the 1st. I’ve been on the Fish Smithson bandwagon for a while now.
    Joeypopems
Pewter report said the times were 4.39 to 4.42 depending on who he asked

  44. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Emphasis on “game charger”.. See they’re RBs and then they’res Game Changers. Huge diffrence.

  45. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Thanks GOAT. SO I’M GOING WIT 4.39 then.

  46. Bucballbaby84 Says:

Panthers are gonna take Cook with the 8th pick in the draft for 1 to piss a lot of ppl off and for 2 cause he would fit good in their system and for 3 Jonathan Stewart is not got much left in the tank. id hate it that someone in our division got him cause he is an amazing talent even though I don’t want him lol. Still believe Obi melifonwu should be the number 1st round pick cause when pick 19 comes he will be the best available for a position we need to fill.

  47. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

If we could meet which we prolly can’t I show you some evidence to dispell all you said Bake. But on jbf the debate ain’t even worth it. We Dalvin right now.

  48. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

83 you must not have seen that article about them being 100%sold on Fournette then. Talkin out ya @$$ homeboy.

  49. Bucballbaby84 Says:

That dudes going to Jacksonville at number 4 dude. Quit smoking that crazy stuff your smoking.

  50. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

For four that’s a dumb @$$ observation when they’ve been running power for years and Fournette fits what they do better. I think that’s a smoke screen. I think they’ll go Perine in the second. They have greater needs.

  51. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

    Put some money up then..

  52. Blake_bucsfan Says:

The panthers run a zone scheme dude. Diangelo Williams was the starter there for years.

  53. Bucballbaby84 Says:

I don’t bet money. It’s against my religion. Home slice

  54. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Man been lamenting better weapons for Jameis to play with since before last season ended. But we should draft a safety first overall.. Turn back on the gaming system will ya.

  55. Rob Says:

Cook is not gonna be a buc. Get over it and move on. Talking about a top-10 player making it to the 20th pick I mean are you guys serious. And he’s not worth trading a second or third round pick this year with all the depth in the draft and all of our needs. There’s plenty of depth at the running back position. Every other day there’s a article on Cook and it’s getting kind of old

  56. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Williams was the starter and they allowed him to leave and kept Stewart. Okay..

  57. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

U lost all credibility when u said that Obi Woncanobi will be BPA!!!!!! Lol have u seen that guys tape? He is straight garbage. He’s big for nothing, he’s a workout warrior. Best safety left on the board by that point will be Budda baker

  62. MarineBucsFan Says:

Cook wants the Bucs, the Bucs want Cook!!! Its happening folks, just accept it.

  63. Bucballbaby84 Says:

I don’t think Budda will still be there. I love Budda baker. Your nobody to me so you saying I lose all credibility means nothing to me lol

  64. MarineBucsFan Says:

The sooner you naysayers come to terms with it, the less disappointed you will be on draft night.

  65. Bucballbaby84 Says:

I think safety get drafted like crazy in the first round this year

  66. Bucballbaby84 Says:

    Safeties*

  67. Bucballbaby84 Says:

N if he is garbage why are the bucs showing interest in him? So I’m guessing the bucs lose all credibility as well. Lmao

  68. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

Well ur just showing that u don’t know much about football is all I’m saying. Plus when is the last time that 3 safeties were drafted in the top 15?

  69. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

No. He is a 2nd round guy more than likely

  70. Bucballbaby84 Says:

Oh so garbage can be drafted in the 2nd round. Ok everybody this guy truely knows football. Lmbo

  71. Wausa Says:

Dalvin will help change our offense and put it into an elite category.
He is better than Warrick Dunn and he ended up being an outstanding draft choice in the 1st round for the Bucs.

I have said this before, but the Bucs probably have the NFL’s worst group of running backs.
    1) Doug Martin(admitted drug addict that is injury prone and averaged 2.9 yards per carry)
    2) Charles Simms (injury prone and is awful at running inside and averaged 2.9 yards per carry)
    3) Jaquizz Rodgers(Was our best running back last year but probably should be a 3rd team running back. Did not make an NFL roster at the start of last season.
    4) Peyton Barber(Did not make an NFL roster at the start of last season but moved up from Bucs practice squad).

I am not sure a team could have a more glaring need than the Bucs have at RB position.

  72. Bucballbaby84 Says:

Oh sorry not just garbage. ‘Straight garbage’ as you say.

  73. Bucballbaby84 Says:

N I thought that Nole buc guy said yesterday he was disappearing till the draft. Lies! Lol

  74. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

He is a 2nd round talent with the skills to be a good safety. Just not the football Iq he should. U don’t take low football iq guys in the 1st. Always out of place and bites to hard on play action. I can school u all day like this if that’s what u want. He was a mid round guy before the off season. And usually guys that shoot up boards because of the workouts are trouble in my eyes

  75. Bucballbaby84 Says:

Keep thinking that’s what your doing boss. Lol

  76. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

Never even seen u on here before lil boy, u prolly one of the trolls switchin up your name every other week. Lol

  77. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Got me F’d up. If the article on my guy. I’m in this bihh. So so no one caught his interview from his pro day right??? No one heard him say he’s looking forward to hooking back up with someone right.. No one caught that..

  78. Bucballbaby84 Says:

Nope same guy all day everyday and I’m probably older than you.

  79. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

What Wausa said. S@$# is glaring. And don’t worry Marine. They’ll believe they’re better than they currently believe these words.

  80. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

They’ll believe they’re eyes. Mmm hmm they’ll believe they’re own eyes.

  81. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Just watched the full vid again Joe.. Now I’m ready to man handle this workday.

  82. 813bucboi Says:

    @nole & @blake….JARRAD DAVIS PRO DAY NUMBERS

His 38 ½ inch vertical leap would have been an inch better than any other linebacker at the scouting combine. It was so impressive that the event’s organizers had to adjust the apparatus afterward so they could get an accurate measurement.

His 10-foot, 9-inch broad jump was better than any linebacker at the combine, and his 4.56 40-yard dash was better than every linebacker not name Jabrill Peppers….

not worthy of a first round pick?….a 6’2 linebacker that can run 4.5 and hit like a hammer….rush the passer…cover te’s, rb’s up the seem and out the back field….yall don’t know football….GO BUCS!!!!

  83. 813bucboi Says:

jay hayes attended UF’s pro day and had a private work out with a linebacker….last time hayes went to a pro and did a private work out with someone we drafted him…#spawn…..GO BUCS!!!!

  84. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Bro, who cares about his pro day numbers. We have 2 amazing linebackers. And teams are playing more and more snaps in the nickel formation. Sam Linebackers are part time players right now.

  85. Joeypoppems Says:

Why would Jay Hayes, our DL coach, work out a LB?

  86. 813bucboi Says:

who cares about pro day #’s? …who cares about cook’s pro day numbers…..you need 3 linebackers that can do it all….having a nickel cb tips the offense…smitty stated that he wants players that are versatile and wont tip off the offense….the only reason why d.smith was a part time player was because he couldn’t cover…or run with these rb’s….look at the 2 teams that went to the super bowl from our division…both have 3 great linebackers that can cover from sideline to sideline and get after the passer…..

@joey….because he is versatile….he can drop into coverage, play the run and rush the passer….no different than spence last year….at his pro day hayes had him doing linebacker drill to test his athleticism….VERSATILITY IS THE KEY….the more you can do, the more your worth, the more playing time you get….GO BUCS!!!!

  87. Dan Solaz Says:

I’d love to get Cook and then Bubba Baker in 2nd.. Then we are cooking with fire. Cook may not be like by some of you, and thats cool. But in my opinion he will be a elite game changer in nfl. Regardless of who we pick, I will be on board and support them.

  88. TarzanTheBucsFan Says:

Why are you going to work at 330 nos bos.#gas station

  89. FIRETHECANNONS Says:

I’d rather read multiple DC stories a day, then the Manziel madness from years past.

  90. Eric Says:

The guy who said that Cook is better than Dunn before the man even plays a snap against NFL defenses is just foolish. When I

  91. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Bro i could care less about Cooks pro day numbers. If you weren’t so new you would know this. And having a Nickel tips off the D? What in the name of all that is holy are you talking about?

Im just telling you the facts. Teams today play over 60 percent of the time in Nickel. You need to good Linebackers and depth. Thats it.

And holy crap Tarzan that hashtag killed me.

  92. MadMax Says:

Im all for it, but he’s going probably top 5-8. Thats a huge jump we’d have to make.

  93. Eric Says:

The guy who said that Cook is better than Dunn before the man even plays a snap against NFL defenses is just foolish. Just because a guy breaks another guy’s record at the same school means nothing. Barnett broke Reggie White’s sack total but you would be an idiot to say Barnett is better than White, so throw that stupid argument out the window. When I look at the highlights I see a guy who is scared to run the ball between the tackles. In the NFL those plays where the back bounces outside are not as easy to accomplish. Everyone of those plays has him bouncing to the outside. I’m sure he did run some up the middle but the reason there are none in that highlight reel is because he wasn’t very successful. There are a few guys who can make a living running outside but those guys are really fast. i.e Jamal Charles, which he isn’t even close to being as fast.

As for pro day numbers, they don’t hold the same weight as combine numbers for a reason. I prefer to use the same measuring stick that all players were judged by. If you were to time your own 40 on a track vs. grass you would find the numbers would be very different.

Nole fans are hands down the biggest homers out of any big school and it shows on these message boards! #Tools for Tallahasse

  94. Joeypoppems Says:

And just for the record going to work at 3:30 is normal if there are multiple shifts involved lol. I work in a machine shop and our 2nd shift starts at 3:15.

  95. Joeypoppems Says:

And as far as the Jarrad Davis conversation goes. Blake said everything I would have said here. I haven’t read anything about Jarrad Davis working out privately with the Bucs. With Jay Hayes being there I would assume Caleb Brantley would be the more intriguing guy as far as potential picks goes since they interviewed him at the combine.

The only way I could see them drafting Jarrad Davis or any LB in the 1st round is if either:

    A) He can play DE

    Or

    B) We are going to be doing a full transition into a 3-4 base defense and adding more 3-4 packages this season is the start of that transition.

    But what do I know?

  96. BuccaneEric75 Says:

Are we actually arguing if the Earth is flat or a sphere!? Wow!

  97. USFBUC Says:

Got some good comments here, didn’t read them all but I was entertained.

I’m still loving the refusal of some to accept that we might just draft a TE and early. It’s silly now so just stop. Licht has said it, everyone who watches football knows we need another TE that is a threat, and like Blake stated you don’t waste time on multiple visits with a pair of guys who are going in the first round and another going in the second if you are not looking to fill that need early.

Jarrad Davis would be really nice to have on the team but he is potentially a first round pick and at this point we are going RB or TE unless something crazy happens.

  98. 813bucboi Says:

the only thing new around here is your stupidity when it comes to football….the pats falcons and panthers all have 3 great linebackers and all 3 were in the superbowl….the teams that play 60% nickel don’t have a linebacker that can run and cover….that’s why they go to nickel…not because its in style…..

@joey….if a player doesn’t compete in the nfl combine due to injury than his pro day is his combine…..in that case, his pro day workout has significant value…..GO BUCS!!!!

  99. 813bucboi Says:

    @joey…..rivals.com…got a be a member tho…..

and hasn’t smitty stated he wants to play more 34?…..

Bucky brooks is looking smarter by the day….GO BUCS!!!!

  100. Blake_bucsfan Says:

@75 i brought that up sarcastically, but unsurprisingly NosBos actually does think the earth is flat…

    Bro your ignorance is startling.

Failclowns have dion jones who is solid, and Vic Beasly who is basically just a DE that the sometimes us to cover the flat, but who is the third?

The belicheats have Donta Hightower, who is a beast, and Rob Ninkovich who again, is more of a pass rusher than Lb. And then a bunch of average Joe’s.

You are talking out of your coolo senor.

  102. Blake_bucsfan Says:

    *they* sometimes *use*….

Come on phone get it together man.

“Now your cooking with gas” Hahahaha! Classic Mooch

  104. Buc1987 Says:

Eric…I’ll be that guy. Cook was much better than Dunn while at FSU. Not just in stats either.

I still have a Dunn jersey too!

    Love that dude.

OMG is that a debate??? Look I love Warrick but Dalvin is the KING.

  107. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Anybody seen StPete these past few day’s? I’m starting to worry about the old dude.

  108. Joeypoppems Says:

    @813

I was agreeing with Blake about the nickel defenses being used more often. It isn’t because “teams don’t have 3 good LBs”. It is because teams are using 3 or 4 WRs at a time. Idk about you but I don’t want a LB covering WRs lol. Wasn’t agreeing about Pro Day numbers not mattering and I would actually disagree with him to an extent on that.

As far as Jarrad Davis’ Pro Day numbers goes, they are obviously impressive and they do matter just like all combine numbers do matter. They aren’t the most important thing, just another piece to the puzzle for each prospects evaluations. They were very impressive numbers tho.

Yes, Mike Smith says he wants to play more 34 defense. That doesn’t mean we are becoming a base 34 defense. He will just use more 34 packages. Like I said, if the plan is to start off by just including packages and then fully transition into a base 34 defense then yes, LB will then become a huge need.

And usually if a prospect has private workouts with a team it becomes public knowledge, especially for highly rated prospects. I’m not saying they haven’t worked him out. I’m just saying that I will believe it when it becomes public and not when that info is behind a pay wall lol.

You can just see “IT” when Dalvin touches the ball. He THINKS he’s taking it to the house EVERY time he touches it….he honestly EXPECTS it. The dude is a game changer!!!!

It wasn’t a long post so it kind of blended in with the other ones lol

  110. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Joey lol dude, im too used seeing walls of text from him.

  111. BuccaneEric75 Says:

Blake, lol. I just took my first plane trip and had a window seat. The curve of the Earth is quite obvious from that height. 🌏

  112. '74 Bucs fan Says:

The Earth is round, and Cook is a stud! Case closed!

  113. LifeOfABucFan Says:

I love this quote, it should be restated again and again and again..

    From Eric:

Nole fans are hands down the biggest homers out of any big school and it shows on these message boards! #Tools for Tallahasse

    ————————

    Boy, do I agree!!!!!!!!!!

  114. BigHogHaynes Says:

Do not trade picks for any running back, take MIXON in the morning third round! He is the best back in this draft! Now Go Build That Damn Wall!!

  115. BuccaneEric75 Says:

Life, I don’t think the Nole homerism is as bad as you think. I like FSU but I’ll be fine if we don’t take Cook. 87 was the biggest Winston supporter of all, yes, but he told EVERYONE that Aguayo was overrated. We just like good players, from wherever.

  116. Fred E. Buc Says:

Capt. Tim…I like your picks overall…especially Zay Jones. I do have one critical exception: I don’t think DE is what we need worst. Better get a Safety in the first round.

  117. Issic Haggins Says:

    Lord C I agree

  118. PhillyBucsFan Says:

Not that I needed to watch the video, but I’m ALL IN on Cook if availible at 19! And he broke Warricks day records in 3yrs, Dunn played 4 if I’m not mistaken…

  119. BuccaneEric75 Says:

Fred, Saftey is the least paid position player. Why pay first round money to a Saftey? DE is the most impactful position on defense. We need a replacement for Ayers soon, and we all know most DE take a year before they really get after the QB. I’d be all for a DE in the first. Rush the damn QB relentlessly and the other team can’t win.

  120. Bucballbaby84 Says:

Hold up did I just see a picture of fameis Jameis with Adrian Peterson where they were working out together in Dallas??? Hmm…

  121. Bucballbaby84 Says:

N ppl told me I was crazy to think that the bucs would sign a.p. After the draft. Time will tell!!! 😁

  122. LifeOfABucFan Says:

    Bucballbaby..

Yes that picture is pretty cool…Jameis and AP are together..Derrick Brooks had Retweeted it and I just about fainted..
