Bucs CB Wants Dalvin Cook

January 30th, 2017
Admired by Bucs corner.

Endorsed by Bucs starter.

It seems a Bucs defender knows exactly who AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht should target come the first round of April’s NFL draft.

And that target would Florida State running back Dalvin Cook.

Vernon Hargreaves recently appeared on a podcast, something called “Big Three Rollup,” where the trio of co-hosts attempted to corner Hargreaves into offering a name of a player from one of the big three schools in Florida the Bucs should draft.

But Hargreaves just chuckled and wouldn’t bite, saying he would welcome anyone the Bucs are scouting from Florida, Florida State or Miami with open arms as a teammate — and he’s sure the rookie would help the Bucs get to the playoffs.

Then Hargreaves was asked directly about Tampa Bay potentially drafting Cook at No. 19 overall. Hargreaves didn’t hold back.

“[Laughs] Oh, I will take Cook,” Hargreaves said. “We need him. He’s special.”

So there you have it. Even a guy who played against Cook as a star corner for the Florida Gators, and watched from afar as an observer, knows what Cook brings to the table.

Let’s just say Hargreaves’ comment about Cook raised Joe’s eyebrow.

  1. Chris Says:

And Joe doesn’t believe in rbs drafted in the first. Unless he’s from the state of Florida. He’s not Barry Sanders, he’s not Adrian Peterson and despite NOSBOS claims nowhere near a Marshall Faulk. I watched Faulk in college. He had a gear Cook only dreams about. Another Freeman, maybe, but not one of those guys.

  2. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Cook isn’t special enough to warrant a top twelve pick, but he’ll likely get taken there anyway. There’s no superstar running backs in this year’s draft (unless you believe the Fournette hype) so that means the guys that are ranked as middle to late first round picks will get taken higher than they should. I wouldn’t be opposed to trading up to say #16 to nab him but any higher than that and the Bucs will regret it. I’d rather have Corey Davis or OJ Howard anyway.

  3. Rojas Says:

Agreed, Corey Davis or O.J Howard.

  4. Joeypoppems Says:

You would think he would say Quincy Wilson or Teez Tabor lol.

  5. Aristotle Says:

How about an Offensive Tackle? Any good ones in this draft?

  6. Ocala Says:

    DAlvin is an incredible talent
You’re nuts if you don’t want him on the Bucs roster

  7. Defense Rules Says:

Ocala, it’s not about not wanting Cook on the Bucs roster; it’s just how high a priority having him on the team is. If he’s there at #19? Draft him, no question. But to give up other picks to move up & grab him? No thanks. We’ve got too many needs to be giving up picks for one player (RB, WR, TE, LB, S, CB, OLine, Dline … virtually every area except QB could use quality depth or in several cases starters).

  8. BuccaneEric75 Says:

I’ve got my popcorn ready. 🍿

  9. Kalind Says:

Cook, Davis and Williams are the best 3 weapons in order. Howard is a distant third. That’s all potential. He hasn’t caught many passes as proof he can catch. We all just HOPE he can.

If not Cook, then Davis, if not Davis, the Williams, if not Williams, then Howard, if not Howard than Brantley, if not Brantley then trade out of round 1

  10. Joeypoppems Says:

    @Kalind

“He hasn’t caught many passes as proof he can catch. We all just HOPE he can.”

That is not a fair evaluation at all lol. Alabama runs a very run heavy offense so he doesn’t get many targets. And there is more to being a successful TE than just catching a football….

  11. Tut Says:

Let the draft come to us… If Cook is there hell yeah we take him!

  12. scott Says:

    Cook or OJ Howard

  13. Waterboy Says:

    What Defense Rules already said.

  14. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Aww man the team is now speaking. What the blood clot. A GM🍻thanks for that work lastnight homie, you dissected his lil video down. Guess he felt he was the only one capable of puttin that time and energy. I’m sure not. He an boy Pop was talking some archive noise well that one will forever in the same link wit it. Pop my question is what confrence did Pomp play and aren’t any Buccs players screaming for him right now dude. Where you at blake come out play lil homie. 😂Ishh too funny.

  15. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

    Now y’all really can’t tell me s@$!!!

  16. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

And I got one in moderation its coming.

  17. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

What Defebse said??? Not! Take all the defesive needs off your list an it would be more accurate. To the haters at the top you’ll see for yourselves what is an isn’t come next training camp. Cry a river mutha’s. I knew that VH3 was talented just didn’t know he was gaul d@$! smart.

  18. Joeypoppems Says:

Alright, time for the first of what I assume will be many LONG posts on here and it will be my entire pre free agency thought process on what I think we should do round 1. And fir the record I like Joe Mixon but its too tough to predict him right now so Im leaving him out.

The goal of GM Jason Licht is to build through the draft. We all know this. It was clear when they signed Daryl Smith (1 yr deal) Brent Grimes (2 yr deal) and Robert Ayers (3 yr deal) that they arent long term pieces to the Dynasty puzzle.

Daryl Smith’s contract is up. I believe Bucky Brooks said that on average teams are in Nickel packages 70% of the time. Meaning Smith’s position is on the field 30% of the time in a 4-3 defense, like the Bucs run. Don’t need to invest much in a position that is out there 30% of the time so having Devonte Bond and the CFL LB Knox that was signed competing for that spot is fine.

Brent Grimes is a FA after this coming season. To me, if we are building through the draft, grooming his replacement should be a high priority. By high priority I mean 1st round pick. Some of you might say taking a CB round 1 is a luxury pick not a need pick. You know what is a real luxury? Not having to depend on a rookie to play 90% of the defensive snaps against #1 receivers like Hargreaves had to do. Let the 1st round rookie come in and play in that nickel position thats out there 70% of the time and develop. Then once Grimes is a FA we have 2 young stud CB and we dont have to worry about that position anymore for a long time.

Ayers is a FA after 2018 season. We have time to see what we actually have in Jac Smith (if he can stay healthy) Will Gholston (if he is back) and Howard Jones.

As far as the RB position goes, Quizz and Sims are our backfield right now. Not all that great. It is not hard to upgrade what we have their. Perine, Gallman, Hunt, Foreman, Kamara, etc. Are all an upgrade over what we have. They are also not 1st round picks. Most of those will be round 3 picks. So if we can upgrade that position with a round 3 pick then why take a RB in round 1? Its not like if we dont get Cook we wont improve.

Hopefully that makes sense to some of you and you guys actually read the whole thing lol

  19. Draft guru Says:

Corey Davis, cooper kupp or zay jones

  20. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

What he say “we NEED him, he’s what??? SPECIAL.. That’s what he is. That’s high regard coming from a gator. Now go ahead keep pipe dreaming a #2 WR in the first, a unneeded TE in the first a DE in the first when my young QB desperately need some fire. Ishh is madness its like y’all don’t give a d@$! Fameis being made to look good.

  21. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Its hard for me to respect your words Pop seem like you got sucked into blake distain for my guy. Which to me if the young man hasn’t done something to you personal I can’t understand. I speak against y’all ideas, I might say it doesn’t make “since” to me why we would draft a #2WR so high or TE when currently have one ballin effectively. But I don’t hate on y’all ideas. But y’all hate on my idea mainly cause you don’t wanna see another Seminole on the team and you know the Noles who I rock wit. That’s lame bro. I wasn’t hatin on Mixon at first all I was saying was he won’t get drafted because of his situation. Others chimed inn and dissected his game.

  22. Stpetebucsfan Says:

One of these days I’m going to disagree with Defense Rules…but not today. LOL

I think we take Dalvin if he’s there at #19. I do not wish to surrender picks to move up..unless it’s a 5th or later…

Chris….I never saw Faulk in college so I can’t comment on his college days. I was a huge fan of his in the NFL though. I have watched Dalvin in college…I’m not a Nole..Gator..or Hurricane…I was a Bearcat….OK stop laughing…watching Dalvin was amazing at times. I never saw Faulk show any more speed in the NFL than Dalvin has shown. And as Dalvin’s agent NOSBOS pointed out yesterday he had SIX TD runs of over 70 yards. I don’t know about Marshall’s TD runs so I can’t really comment.

Another guy with amazing speed is OSU’s Curtis Samuel. My son who attends all the OSU home games said he’s far faster on the field than his 40 time indicates..and his 40 time is great.

Here is my ONLY problem with comparisons. Sometimes we get carried away.
I don’t believe anybody is saying Dalvin is as good as Marshall…yet…I believe people are saying he has a very similar style. Can’t disrespect an HOFer. Just as we can’t say #3 is Brett Favre…yet…or that Samuels is the next Percy Harvin.

I think these comparisons are fine as long as we realize we are comparing “styles” and nothing else. And as for #3 I”m over comparing him to any QB.
#3 is an original. Perhaps Dalvin and Samuels will come into this league and make their own marks. I’d love to figure a way to get them both and I would trade picks to make that combo happen. Sign Desean Jackson with those two and just imagine the freaking fireworks!!! Koetter likes big chunk plays..there are THREE guys who deliver big chunks…six TD runs of over 70 against big time competition…

  23. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

And and y’all don’t think VH3 is the only member of the team singing his praises do you??? Do you??? They ain’t gotta take they sentiments to Mr. Licht’s office. Trust me he’s already taken notice.

  24. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Pete just YouTube Marshall Faulks ultimate highlight. After do the same for Dalvin Cook. If you don’t mind come back and tell us all the glaring difference. Measurables are the same. Just imagine DC at SanDiego state.

  25. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

And to that poster I recall Marshall Faulk also. If you did watch in college you must’ve lived on the west coast because most of his game did not aire on the east coast. We did however see all those highlights. It was he and the runner from Georgia making all the headlines.

  26. Joeypoppems Says:

    @Nosbos

I said multiple times I do not hate Dalvin Cook. I think he will be a very good player. I just try to use what I believe to be logic to predict how the Bucs can get the most value for their draft picks. I don’t care how many FSU players are on the team. If Dalvin Cook ends up being the pick at #19 I won’t hate it at all. I just think getting a starter in round 3-4 is more valuable than a development player. Thats is all.

  27. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Okay understood Pop. But you see DC as a developmental player???

  28. Joeypoppems Says:

    @Nosbos

And Pumphrey plays at San Diego State. Same as Marshall Faulk who you like to compare Cook to.

  29. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Okay and thats what they don’t seem to get Pete. I’m comparing styles.

  30. lawrence johnson Says:

Ill take the players suggestions over any one of you any day. for real

  31. Joeypoppems Says:

    @Nosbos

Dalvin Cook is by no means a development player. He will step in and have an immediate impact for whoever he plays for. I am saying that if the Bucs draft Cook in the 1st then the player they draft in the 3rd or 4th rounds could be a development guy when I still believe there will be starting caliber RBs available.

  32. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

That’s my point it has shown the many diffrent confrences DC has racked up yards against. Im saying DC in whatever confrence that is his numbers may be even greater.

  33. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Rhis my thing Pop . when you are knocking on the playoff door. Adding DC bust the door down. One or two special players on a roster make up for other areas that may lack on the roster. Which to my eye after what I saw from my D Ion see many areas of total concern on this team. Get the talented RB,get Campbell a WR in free agency. Draft Kupp in the second and we set.

  34. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

And Pop I get what you saying about value. I also believe every now and then you throw caution and just grab Special. If I don’t think he would be I wouldn’t be on here saying so everyday bro.

  35. Joeypoppems Says:

    @Nosbos

“I also believe every now and then you throw caution and just grab Special.”

That is why I wouldnt hate drafting Dalvin Cook

  36. Joeypoppems Says:

    @Nosbos

And don’t lump me in with Blake lol. We just happen to agree on not drafting a RB round 1 and thats all. Just like I disagree with you about drafting a RB early I disagree with him and OJ Howard. For the same reason too. If we can upgrade Luke Stocker with a 5th round pick (I like Jeremy Sprinkle and he is projected round 5) why take a TE round 1?

But just like Dalvin Cook, I wouldnt hate OJ Howard round 1 either.

  37. Blake_bucsfan Says:

I’m honestly so over this conversation. It’s clear where Joe stands. We get a pro Cook & Anti Mixon article in the same day. Now NosBos will never shut up.

  38. Chris Says:

I just want big play potential, Cook, Davis, but not Howard. Saw too little from Howard for me to say he’s special. I like DeSean, but I think he’ll go to Philly.

  39. Bucsfanman Says:

As long as we don’t leverage the team to get him, I’m alright with it. The bottom line is Jameis needs weapons. Go get ’em!

  40. Pickgrin Says:

    Our (#19) 1st round pick +

    – 4th rd pick gets us up to #17
    – 3rd rd pick gets us up to #15
    – 2nd rd pick gets us up to #11

Even if he really wants Cook, I don’t think Licht would go any higher than this because of the cost.

If he REALLY, REALLY wants Cook like NOS-BOS hopes then he will likely have to jump up to #7 to ensure he gets his man. Carolina and Cincy at #8 and #9 respectively are both going to be seriously considering drafting Cook IMO.

To get to #7 and ensure NOS-BOS’ dream comes true Licht would have to trade our 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th round picks.

I personally hope we stand pat at #19 and take the best football player on our board at that point. If Cook falls to #17, I’d be on board with trading the 4th rounder to get him – but with all the RB talent this year, I’d rather stand pat and pick OJ Howard or Corey Davis or a stud DL player and then get Hunt or Mixon in the 2nd-3rd round.

  41. 813bucboi Says:

@nole…I don’t know why your all excited…lol….VHG only stated what everyone else has stated…..if he’s there at #19 take him….duh….is he a special player?….duh…..

its not like VHG said, “Licht should draft cook no matter if we have to move up…he’s what this team is missing, he can get us to the playoffs”….

saying that would get everyone’s attention but he didn’t…he only stated the obvious…..

but i’ll tell you what…I really want the rb out of texas that is a 6’1 250 pound back that runs 4.4, just rushed for over 2000yards in 2016 and was the top back in the nation(2016 doak walker award winner)….GO BUCS!!!!

  42. Joeypoppems Says:

There is no way D’onta Foreman will run a 4.4 lol 4.55 will be perfectly acceptable for a guy his size. Hell, Le’Veon Bell ran a 4.6

  43. 813bucboi Says:

    @joey….lol…have you seen his highlights?….they list his 40time on longhorn.com, go check it out….ap ran a 4.38…hell, Jerome bettis ran a 4.4 at 6’0 255…GO BUCS!!!!

  44. Joeypoppems Says:

No I havent watched his highlights. I watched his game footage many times tho. I would love to get Foreman. I just dont think he will run 4.4 if he was capable of 4.4 with that much power and vision and explosiveness etc. He would be a 1st round pick. And if that happens then I dont want him as much because I am against RB round 1.

  45. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Well there we have it. Foreman up next. Lets go.

  46. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Next up 813 and Foreman. Don’t be mad ya boy endorsed his former rival. He should know better than you, he actually suited up and played against him.

  47. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

And the 2000 yards are mice. Had DC not been receiving for almost most 500 yards last season he probably easily added another 300 to eclipse that 2000 mark. But I’m good wit 1700 or so he posted. Shows the versatility coach K is craving for his back field. Ask Daniel Lasco bro.

  48. Joeypoppems Says:

Nosbos, must you take everyone elses opinion of another RB as a personal attack on Cook? Lol

  49. Joeypoppems Says:

And that 2000 you are talking about are u refering to Pumphrey? Because he had roughly 6400 rushing and 1000 receiving in his career so he does both too. And again he will be a day 3 pick so dont put so much stock into stats. They dont tell the whole story.

  50. Stpetebucsfan Says:

I do not get all the lust for the TE. We have the leading TD scorer already…check out his stats and you’ll see Brate is also mid to upper middle of the pack in yards per catch.

Brate is basically entering his second full year in the NFL…he played against weak competition in the Ivy League…his upside is still obviousl

I get the guys who say they are upgrading over Stocker and Brandon Myers and that’s fine but we do NOT have a top shelf RB in house right now. We desperately Need a #2 WR…other’s here are clamoring for OL and DL help and even safety help. Why would we spend a first round pick on a TE when that’s not a genuine NEED this year…just a desire to upgrade.

I want SPEED! I would gladly spend our first three picks in combo if we could somehow wrangle both Dalvin and Curtis Samuels.

The same argument being made that we can always find an RB in the later rounds can be made in spades about linemen and TE’s.

  51. 813bucboi Says:

@NOLE SAYS,” Don’t be mad ya boy endorsed his former rival.”…uh, actually he didn’t…he only stated the obvious…endorsing him would be saying,” we need cook, licht make the move”….now did he say that?…..nawl didn’t think so…

if you’ve watched foreman you would know he’s versatile…his twin brother is a wr at texas for crying out loud…lol…you think he cant catch?…he wasn’t asked to?…plus their qb play and offense was horrible….that’s what got strong canned…..

@JOEY….one reason why he’s not a first rounder is because he was only a starter for one year…he had to sit behind Malcolm brown who plays for the rams…but in that one year he proved to be a force and more than capable of carrying the workload and being a work horse….GO BUCS!!!!

  52. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Hmm that’s funny when I read the qoute it appears to say “we need him. He’s special”. Sounds like an endorsement to me brio.

  53. Blake_bucsfan Says:

@Stpete Do you remember how Lethal Jameis looked at the 2015 probowl throwing to Delanie Walker?

Granted the Probowl is the Probowl, Granted O.J. Will not give us 4.4 speed.
But he would give us an incredible amount of versatility, and Positional speed.

Cam Brate is a baller, through and through, Love his game. But he’s probably closer to 4.8 speed. O.J. will probably run around a 4.58. And represents an absolute mismatch.

  54. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Emphasis on WE NEED. You remember the last Bucs player were expressing a desire for a certain player??? We’ve all for the most part are grateful they did so.

  55. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Cam Brate don’t need to be 4.4 when he catches those TDs in the red zone.

  56. Joeypoppems Says:

    @Stpete

That’s why I backed off the OJ Howard train a little bit. Brate is good and there are 5th round TEs that are better than Stocker

  57. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

“If you can ball you can ball” – VH3. Brate has clearly shown an ability to do so in this league. And just getting started.

  58. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Someone said the other day. Some of you aren’t qualified to always be throwing out stats and numbers.

  59. PABucsLover Says:

All this talk about Cook vs. Faulk is nonsense, we have yet to see Cook even step onto the field at the NFL level. Faulk is a HOfer for obvious reasons. Speaking of San Diego State, does anyone even remember the RB for them who lead FBS. Just a thought, late round guy, maybe a steal in terms of work ethic. Also as FA approaches, the Bucs really need to get young players to enhance roster for aging veterans.

  60. Joeypoppems Says:

    @PABucsLover

Pumphrey is the SD State RB. I would take him late as a returner. At 5′ 8″ 170 lbs idk about him as a lead back. And idk what aging veterans we have lol. We only have 5 starters over 30 years old lol

  61. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Lover if you noticed me and Pete stated we are comparing “styles” of two players. Its obvious DC hasn’t taken a snap in the league yet. But going off what we can they’re college numbers and film it is not beyond the pale to make the comparison.

  62. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

So stop using Faulk. And start using Jamal Charles and Shady McCoy. Think that should rub some of you a little softer.

  63. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Cook is nothing like charles or shady mccoy.

  64. Buc1979 Says:

IMOP… Maybe it’s because I didn’t get to watch much LSU football and I could be completely wrong here, but my gut tells me Fournette will not do well in the NFL. Dalvin Cook may not be able to produce the same yards per carry at the next level, but he is explosive. He has the vision that you don’t see from many of the other backs coming out of college. He has the speed to get to the outside, and every time he has any open space, he gains 20+ yards. Plus, he would give the Bucs the yards after initial contact, that the Bucs just don’t have on their roster right now. Being able to catch out of the backfield like Cook can, is just icing on the cake.

  65. Tbbucs3 Says:

Dalvin is a franchise running back. We desperately need that.

In the Bucs cowboys game it was obvious that a rookie running back in Eliot was significantly better faster and stronger than our Doug Martin, it’s time to move on.

We need a special talent with pass catching abilities in Dalvin Cook.

  66. 813bucboi Says:

@nole….unlike you, VHG was smart enough to NOT take the bait….

“But Hargreaves just chuckled and wouldn’t bite, saying he would welcome anyone the Bucs are scouting from Florida, Florida State or Miami with open arms as a teammate — and he’s sure the rookie would help the Bucs get to the playoffs.”….

hardly sounds like an endorsement….nice try tho…..LOL…GO BUCS!!!!

  67. Joeypoppems Says:

“In the Bucs cowboys game it was obvious that a rookie running back in Eliot was significantly better faster and stronger than our Doug Martin”

Again. If the goal is to upgrade what we currently have at the RB position, we can get that in rounds 3-4. Cook isn’t the only way to upgrade. I watched some of Wayne Galman’s tapes today an I really think he can be a 3 down back.

  68. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Need I cut and paste TTDBuc for ya Ted??? Nahhh you know afuture a star when you see one dude.

  69. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

813 “we need him. He’s special” if that ain’t as endorsement I don’t know what is. Lol lol lol.

  70. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

I know it pains your heart 813. What you thinking right now “d@$! if only that could’ve come from someone other than my guy”😂ha ha I love it everyday y’all hate humors me. I thank you.

  71. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Uh oh there gose Pop wit a Gallman entry. Coulda swore you were talking Murray just last night bro. D@$# y’all do a lot of bouncing.

  72. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

I could see y’all in the war room right now. Ishh would resemble something from them old pin ball machines. Just pull the trigger back and watch’em go yo.

  73. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

…. bing bing… bingbing bing.. bing.. bing.

  74. Joeypoppems Says:

The Murray thing was a joke. I said something along the lines of “I low key hope they sign Murray so the Cook arguments stop early”

I do like Wayne Gallman tho. Idk why you have to take someone having a different opinion than you personal and treat it like a fight lol.

  75. Blake_bucsfan Says:

    K.

  76. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

And for the record I don’t ever recall Joe endorsing Dalvin Cook. He stated VH3’s comments made him raise an eye brow.

  77. Joe Says:

And for the record I don’t ever recall Joe endorsing Dalvin Cook. He stated VH3’s comments made him raise an eye brow.

Thank you. Joe thought this was *very* interesting coming from a guy who has faced Cook twice on the field of play, and also noting how his current team “need(s)” Cook at running back.

  78. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Ima say this and done wit the thread for the day. Gotta get to work. I just wonder how and why a guy that actually puts pads on and actually play in the league could say “we need him. He’s special”. But folks that don’t put pads on and don’t actually play in the league can so easily come on line say otherwise. That I find peculier at best.

  79. Joeypoppems Says:

It is interesting that he said that, but I just wonder if he would say the same thing if Fournette was the name thrown at him. I mean what is he supposed to say? “No he sucks I don’t want him”

To me it is similar to AP and the Giants. The Giants was a team thrown at AP by the hosts of the show. What is he supposed to say? “No I don’t want to play for them”

  80. Joeypoppems Says:

    @Nosbos

I don’t see why we need a certain level of game experience to make opinions.

  81. Blake_bucsfan Says:

@Joe You know full well that you’ve made you’re endorsement of Cook clear.
Not saying that you’ve come right out and said that the Bucs have to draft him (Yet), but you’ve made plenty of comments that allude to your Pro-Cook agenda.

Lol jking about the agenda, but if you’re all for Cook why not just come right out and say it? It’s your website dude, and you’ve shown no hesitation in the past to go all out and lobby for the guy you want.

Why not just go full throttle and start Dalvin watch?

  82. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Also find it pretty telling that within hours of each other, you posted an article that refers to Cook in a positive light, and one the cast’s a purely negative Light on Joe Mixon.

Guess it’s just a coincidence that you fail to include Dalvin being accused of punching a young woman outside of a bar, or that he was cited for the mistreatment of Animals in 2014.

Guess because he’s a seminole that means the allegations can’t be true and that Cook is a boyscout.

    Just saying.

  83. TeddyTB Says:

I’m all for best player available or trading back. I’d only trade up for Davis at this point because wr is by far our biggest need. You don’t need the greatest rb to win games just a good run game. I want anybody who disagrees to just imagine our team if Evans were to get hurt.

  84. Dee Says:

I would give up the farm for Cook 1st and 3rd, I know the fear he would put in a defense.

  85. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

I lied. OMG the fear it would bring. You talk about picking your poison. Bring a man up the in the box and expose ME to one on one outside. Stay two deep and and he’ll gash you for 30. You add this guy and I don’t care who’s on the other side from ME. Really won’t matter.

  86. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Yo blake keep up the good work yo. If the talent eval thing don’t workout I see private investigations in your future dude😂. You hilarious something str8 out a comic book yo.

  87. Joeypoppems Says:

A defense can have 8 in the box and still double Mike Evans….. Just saying

  88. Blake_bucsfan Says:

    ^

  89. Dee Says:

One thing about Cook there is no catching from behind.

  90. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Dee, While he does have break away speed. He has been caught from behind. And there are safeties, Linebackers, and Cornerbacks in the Nfl that are genuine athletes too.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-KYDRukAhA

    case in point.

  91. Dee Says:

Yes but how my times,a few time but he was injured a few times also. Most of the time he’s gone.

  92. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Poor pursuit angles in college are what they are.

  93. WideRightDevil Says:

Don’t like FSU much but I know this. Dalvin Cook is a potential TD on every single touch, period! However, I don’t think he will make it past 10. OJ Howard and C Davis is more likely. BTW, Cook is faster than Marshall ever was and has multiple gears.

  94. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Tell’em this Dee. 6 runs 70yards or dude.

  95. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

How bou you upload those 6 runs blake. What ya say bro.

  96. Blake_bucsfan Says:

I’ve already uploaded and detailed those 6 sweeps to the outside where he ran in a straight line for a touchdown.

  97. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

D@$! you mean I missed it. Tell me the timeline so I can go find them bro.

  98. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

So that 94 yarder against was it wake was a sweep. That’s what you telling me???

  99. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

All you gotta do is type in Dalvon Cook 94 yard run it’ll pop right up bro. So you telling me that was a sweep??? How come no-one ran him down then???

  100. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Upload that one blake. I guess you missed it in your haste.

  101. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

You can’t tell me s@$! bout my dude homeboy.

  102. Blake_bucsfan Says:

HAHAHAHA you mean that run where 3 dudes all had the opportunity to bring him down and didnt because they play for wake forrest? Yeah thats was a great run LOL.

  103. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Didn’t realize you were counting the plays he made against walk on’s playing for a cream puff.

  104. Nole on Sat- Bucc on Sun Says:

Just Like I figured. No real rebuttal in you. I’ll leave you to your thoughts. Come up wit better ones tomorrow will ya. You starting bore me.

  105. Blake_bucsfan Says:

You’ve been boring me for weeks dude. Only entertainment you provide anymore is when you say something so idiotic that I bust out laughing.

  106. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Also know that if he was playing against Nfl Linebackers on that play, it would have been a 4 yard gain.

  107. Matt Says:

Cook would be an instant upgrade and he’s probably one of the best catching RBs I have ever seen. He does it all and he is definitely special

  108. Buccfan37 Says:

I like Cook, saw a few of his games on tv. He busted some big totals over 250 yards in some games. I also like players from Florida schools. In college, I don’t see where Strong will be successful at USF.

  109. Nick2 Says:

Ill never forget the Bucs in position to take Emmit Smith and whiffed and then Adrian Peterson and whiffed. Take Dalvin please Mr. Light if the price is not too high or he falls in your lap take him. Doug Martin is iffy at best this guy is a beast and he will be one of the best backs in the NFL for certain!!!!

  110. Andy Norton Says:

O.J Howard in the first, as he is not an option in Free Agency or the next closest TE isn’t close. Then with this draft being high in RB’S and DE’S. Best player available at position and I would like to see us get J.Renyolds out of Texas AM. Truly if OJ. Howard falls to us in the first and we have a good Free Agency like last year, I’m pumped to see us in year 2 with same coaches and offensive and defensive schemes. Go Buc’s

  111. Andy Norton Says:

At Blake: I like Mixon, but plays in a spread offense against some weak teams where as D. Cook plays in the same pro style offense that Jameis W played in. He is the best back talent wise. I’m not a FSU fan, I’m bias. Hope they both have big careers. I am Leary of D.Cook with his past injuries. Let’s get Howard and get a running back and D.End from there because those positions are loaded.
