“Grimacing” Gerald

December 2nd, 2016
Practice pain today?

Practice pain today?

The beast in the belly of the Bucs’ defense, Gerald McCoy, returned to practice today after hurting his foot against the Seahawks, and ESPN’s eagle eye reporter spotted something troubling.

Joe’s referring to Jenna Laine, who snapped photos of McCoy mingling near training staff. Laine wrote on Twitter that McCoy “does appear to be grimacing a little bit, but Gerald is also naturally very theatrical with his facial expressions.”

Hmmm.

Warren Sapp also is very “theatrical with his facial expressions,” like when he was yelling Sunday about how the Bucs choked out an elite quarterback like his defenses never did. So perhaps McCoy’s grimace is another connection between Sapp and McCoy and not an injury concern.

Perhaps McCoy really was going theatrical and was acting out a scene from Little Mermaid, what he once told NFL.com is his favorite movie.

Joe’s not worried about McCoy playing Sunday. It’s that time of year when defensive linemen across the league are seriously banged up. McCoy will find a way.

Thank you so very much. I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time.

I can’t believe JBF is free. Comedy like this should require an entrance fee.

    He’s played in 70 of the past 75 games…

Currently tied for the lead in sacks among DTs…

    4 pass break ups, 2 FF, 2 fumble recoveries…

Broke up a pass week 1 to seal the win @ Atlanta…

Tipped the pass that Conte intercepted to seal the win @ KC…

Sacked RW late in the 4th quarter and was disruptive throughout the entire game…

Let’s see we only have 6 wins and he was huge reason for at least half of them.

He’s a single defensive lineman. That shouldn’t even be something to expect unless you’re insane. Von Miller isn’t even that responsible for key winning moments this year and he gets paid like an elite quarterback.

Why do people hate this guy again? We’re not in the comments debating how great a DT he is…or whether he is better than Aaron Donald… It’s one side saying “This is a great productive player for us” and the other side saying a bunch of dumb incoherent sh1t with no point to any of it.

I ask again for the millionth time – wtf do you haters want? Trade him? Cut him? Who do we sign in his place? Why does this guy make you so mad?

2 days ago he had more sacks than any other DT in the league, what happened?

Should I post the link again? I believe the exact quote was

    – and he leads the league [for sacks] in defensive tackles. Yes, that means [more than] Aaron Donald. Yes, that means Ndamukong Suh and some of the best defensive tackles in the business – he leads them all.-

You fanboys are worse than foxnews. #spinzone

I like how instead of actually addressing anything I said; you cherry pick a quote from Steve Duemig who isn’t a commentator on this site and doesn’t represent any of the “fanboys” you are talking sh1t about.

It’s f*cking hillarious that you think it’s SPIN to say he’s leading the league in sacks. You do realize you can be leading the league and tied with another person who is also leading the league? No one has any more sacks than him so he’s not in 2nd place… I mean talk about splitting the hair of a hair.

Also still – doesn’t address any point I made or the questions i have – which are:

What do you want the team to do from a personnel perspective; so that you would stfu about Gerald McCOy or at least not be bothered by him? Cut him? Trade him? For what? Who do we sign? If you don’t have this plan mapped out then there is no point to anything you’re posting. You’re just hating on sh1t for no reason

I am so glad he is not the team leader anymore…

I’d take an Eric Berry or the 8 first round picks he’s worth.
