Bucs Fans, Mr. AC/DC Salutes You

Suits felt the love from fans today.

Bucs suits felt love from fans today.

Joe admits to being both surprised and impressed.

Over the weekend on Twitter, Joe got many Twitters from Bucs fans from California, Mexicoo and Arizona who claimed they were headed to San Diego for today’s game. Joe was taken aback by how the amount of feedback.

Then when the gates were opened at Jack Murphy Stadium (aka Qualcomm), wow. there were thousands of Bucs fans, many sitting behind the Bucs bench. In fact, it wasn’t just Joe who noticed. So too did Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht.

In fact, the pool-jumping Licht was so moved by the strong support — the biggest crowd Joe has ever seen on the road — Licht took to Twitter to thank them.

@jasonrlicht: To the awesome Bucs fans that invaded Qualcomm…thank you!!! We can’t wait to hear you all next week at Ray Jay!!!

Even Bucs coach Dirk Koetter noticed and thanked the fans in his postgame presser. He said the support was so cool last week and today, he is looking forward to Bucs fans rocking the Den of Depression next Sunday.

Neither here nor there but Cam Newton was benched and did not start tonight. He was put back in the 2nd series but Anderson started.

Wonder if he was late to a meeting and they decided to punish him ?

That’s right baby! Bucs fans turned out strong today!

I headed to the game feeling very 50/50 about our chances.

Then when I got down there, and saw how many of my Bucs brethren were around me, I got excited. Real excited. I got overwhelmed with this feeling that we just HAD TO WIN. I’ve never seen that many Bucs fans at an away game.

I felt pride in my team and pride in my fan base. I was surrounded by Bucs fans in my section. It was f@ckin awesome! Go Bucs!

Oh and we got loud baby. Real loud!

  3. Artemis Rand Says:

Yeah, there was a LOT of Bucs fans in that stadium. Are Chargers fans tuning them out once again knowing they are most likely moving ?

At home watching the game on TV and you could clearly hear a LOUD “De-Fense! De-Fense!” chant for a key third down when the chargers were on offense. It was great!!!

I heard that too Pete. It was awesome!!

    pete Mitchell,

There was a bunch of Bucs fans in the row in front of us, and me and this dude sitting in that row started the “DE-FENCE” chant on a number of occasions. The fans around us were very quick to join in every single time. The players noticed and turned around several times, jumping up and down in the 2nd half. Gholston was really feeling it on the sideline.

There was also a large group of Bucs fans about 10 rows below us who started the defense chant prob 7-8 times. Bucs fans and jerseys were everywhere on that side of the stadium, it was amazing. Walking into the concourses we had Bucs chants ringing loud and proud.

LOL, but @ San Diego. Thanks man and thanks to the rest of you that attended the game at Qualcom.

I saw all the red when they opened up the cameras to start the game and was quite surprised. Pleased too, but quickly forgot about them cause it was enemy terrain. I saw the red though and WOW!

  17. unbelievable Says:

    Hell yea 87!

It’s pretty cool that the amount of fans could be seen / heard from the tv broadcast. I know we were giving it our all to be loud as hell!

  19. Bucsfan951 Says:

We came out in force today at the game. I was amazed as I looked around and saw how many bucs fans were there. My son got a coaches visor and Daryl smith’s game used gloves. That kid is on cloud 9 right now haha but McCoy came by to give high fives and had the biggest smile on his face. Koetter stopped to say thanks to the crowd and his huge smile will forever be burned in my memory. Today was such a great day as a bucs fan I hope ray j is packed and loud next weekend. Us west coast bucs fans challenge you guys to come out in big numbers and be loud! Make us proud!!! 😉

The whole visitor side of the stadium was red! I felt like I was at RJS.

I’ll never forget the huge grin on GMC’s face as he walked over to greet us after the game, arms in the air. One of the best games I’ve ever been to.
