Early in the game, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, had a tipped pass that again went for a pick.

But the Bucs erased that pick by forcing two 49ers fumbles and picked off Sideshow Bob once to win the turnover battle 3-1.

Guess what? The Bucs won.

Dirk Koetter harped on the ugly turnover ratio the team has had this year leading up to the game. He said it is no coincidence the Bucs were 2-3 with so many turnovers.

In games the Bucs have won the turnover battle, they are undefeated. That included today.

The Bucs are now 3-3. The NFC South-leading Dixie Chicks are 4-3 and the Bucs already have a win over Atlanta.

Things could get very interesting here.

Mcdugle is improving each week. When will Ryan smith be ready?

  2. Pat Says:

I thought Atlanta won the turnover battle with one interception and we had no turnovers in the first game. Am I wrong about that?

  3. Joe Says:

    Am I wrong about that?

Yes. Jameis had a pick, too.

  4. Pat Says:

Just checked the Buccaneers.com site. It turns out Atlanta did win the turnover battle in the first game. This fact has kept me with some hope for the Bucs this season because they really should not have won that game since they lost the turnover battle. Once again… The Bucs are not as bad as they have looked and of course they’re not as good as they sometimes look. Just like every other NFL team

I loved all the sack strips that the Bucs did today!! that was great and LVD54 made some splash plays I thought as well!!!!

One of the big problems we have is on kick and punt returns and when to let the ball bounce into/or take the knee!!! Its hard sledding when you start around the 10 yard line!!!!!

  6. Pat Says:

    No Joe… You were wrong.

Great Day to be A BUC FAN

Watch out Pat! You’ll be put in JBF’s detention…..

  9. Pat Says:

LOL- I apologize for my very poor written expression of the facts. Atlanta did win the turnover battle against the Bucs. Atlanta +1. LOL- sorry Joe about my poor writing but nonetheless the Bucs did lose the turnover battle against Atlanta and still won the game.

  10. Da'Bone Says:

LOL….Way to roll that one back Pat. Very Trump like. 🙂

  11. Joe Says:

LOL- I apologize for my very poor written expression of the facts.

    Eh, it happens. Fuhgettaboutit

  12. Pat Says:

I didn’t roll anything back. I simply clarified that the Bucs did not win the turnover battle in the first game. Nonetheless Joe’s comment stands because in games that they have won the turnover battle they also won the game.

Great to see the team smiling at the SAN Francisco air plane station ~
Winning makes for a super journey across our great nation.

Glad the Bucs won; not really comfortable with the 49ers QB being described as Sideshow Bob. If your loved ones were on the receiving end of the issues that Kaepernick is kneeling for, you might feel differently. After all the person who wrote the Anthem did have racist views.

  15. unbelievable Says:

Pat you’re missing the point. Joe wasn’t talking about game one.

We won the turnover battle last week and this week. That’s it. Both wins.

So in games we have won the TO battle, we are undefeated.

  16. Joe Says:

    unbelievable:

Joe inaccurately had the Bucs at 3-0 when winning turnover battle. They are 2-0 when winning turnover margin.

  17. unbelievable Says:

Oh I didn’t see anything written about being 3-0. Just the sentence about the Bucs “being undefeated when winning the turnover battle”, which is factually accurate.

Maybe that’s what you were saying in the comments at first? All good either way, go Bucs!

  18. BuccaneEric75 Says:

I admit that the tipped INT was a bad pass by Winston. Bucnut2 won’t admit to anything that happened after that. Go figure!

  19. Pat Says:

Thanks for the clarification Joe. I know I’m getting older but I thought I read that at first.
