More Two-Minute Offense, Please

Two-minute offense seems to fit Jameis.

Two-minute offense seems to fit Jameis.

At halftime, Joe’s mouth was agape. Joe was overcome with emotion.

The two-minute drill the Bucs executed to take a 17-14 lead was near perfect. And Joe believes that was the best possession that America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, played in a very, very long time. Maybe, it was his best drive as an NFL quarterback.

Even Jameis’ incompletion in the corner of the end zone for Russell Shepard was a good throw: just out of reach of a San Francisco defender. Shepard did get a hand on it, but it seemed as if Shepard turned the wrong way, not sure. Regardless, Jameis put the ball where a defender couldn’t get it but his teammate could haul it in.

That’s an NFL throw.

It got Joe to thinking that perhaps Bucs coach Dirk Koetter should employ the hurry-up, two-minute offense more often. Jameis seemed so comfortable and accurate on that drive that Koetter should go to the well a bit more often.

I think the gameplan that is being called is exactly what benefits Jane is the most. We are very run heavy at the beginning of the game. Allowing Winston to get settled in. as the game goes on, Winston gets more involved. It worked last week and it worked this week

I won’t say perfect, But it did highlight how bad it was to just field 1 WR all game long!!!

A WR will be drafted very high next year!!! Less we want to see more JW3 scambling then throwing some desperation looking pass to his only option!!!!

    Go America!!!!!

    And Go Bucs!!!!!!!!

Since Jameis is notorious for slow starts, I can understand why Dirk Koetter goes run heavy early in the ballgame. But it wasn’t until the Bucs fell behind 14-0 and Koetter turned Jameis loose that things really started to happen. Jameis was making some excellent big-time throws, and fortunately Mike Evans, Shep and Adam Humphries stepped up to make plays. Was really impressed with Jacquizz obviously, but kudos also to Antone Smith and Peyton Barber for their contributions.

Isn’t forcing JW3 to throw too much wahtbevwryone said was the problem. Now you are saying go back to that… 🤔

Glad that Jameis finally looked better this week, he was more accurate today than usual. Hope it was because he calmed down and NOT just because they played against a crappy team. Guess we will find out next week or just may NEVER know for sure. Glad he finally played better though just the same
