“I Took A Knee In Protest”

Sideshow Bob’s pathetic play made a former 49ers stud want to puke.

How rotten of a quarterback has Sideshow Bob devolved into? His play makes a former 49ers tight end want to vomit.

Brent Jones, once a favorite target of Steve Young and a former CBS NFL analyst, couldn’t believe his eyes last week when the Buffalo Bills, led by Capt. Lou Albano, curb-stomped Sideshow Bob and the 49ers.

Sideshow Bob, otherwise known as National Anthem-kneeling, history-challenged, Supreme Court Justice-sparring, Fidel Castro-loving Colin Kaepernick, has turned into a horrible quarterback and he turned Jones’ stomach with his play last week as Jones told KNBR-AM 1050.

“I got to tell you, there was five or six throws yesterday where I took a knee in protest,” Jones jested. “Those are horrific throws for the NFL, or college.”

[Sideshow Bob] completed 13 of his 29 passes for 187 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. The quarterback was clinging onto a 17-13 lead late in the third quarter despite no running game or defense to help him.

“I actually heard yesterday people try and say Kap was decent, and I’m like compared to what?” Jones said. “Are you kidding? Have our expectations sunk so drastically low that you could say that? You have to be able to make throws. You don’t get 20 chances a game to throw a touchdown pass. And [Sideshow Bob] missed a couple yesterday. Torrey Smith on a post route, he zinged it five yards over his head. Poor Torrey Smith. That poor guy must be thinking, are you kidding me? How many times have I been open for touchdowns down the field and none of my quarterbacks can even get the ball within range.”

Joe was looking at stats today — stats! — and there is no way around it: San Francisco is just a sorry, sorry, sorry team.

Losing to the 49ers and Sideshow Bob would be much worse of an insult than losing to the Rams at home. This is truly a garbage team.

It will be Garbage vs Garbage, like the Carolina game. And Dumb Goodell want to know why the ratings are at lows. Kap and his protests are the only thing that is creating any type of media buzz for the NFL. Face it, the NFL is a CRAPPY league, loaded with CRAPPY players. Players are retiring and leaving millions on the table, just to get away from this CRAP.

  2. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Remind me to never sit next to LakeLandBuc. You must be loads of fun to hang with.

  3. scott Says:

Kap has beat us before and I think a Chip Kelly lead team has too.. so if we lose we are going to bring this sucker into the spotlight like we did Cousins

  4. lightningbuc Says:

No coincidence that Kap converted to Islam a year or so ago to appease his girlfriend. His protest has nothing to do with BLM and oppression, and everything to do with being an America hating Muslim.

  5. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

We should win this game, though I’m concerned that more injured players are not returning.

“despite no running game or defense to help him”

Let’s be honest…the lack of both of those can make any quarterback look horrible.

It his unpatriotic sorry arse that I hate, and I hope our players on defense really put a whipping on him…Ayers would be a great thing…but is that happening?

  6. Chris Says:

I say IR the rest of the guys who are nursing injuries . Screw it undrafted free agent line, running back unemployed several weeks ago . They might not be ” pro bowlers ” but at least their hearts won’t be in question .

  7. James Walker Says:

Kap has his first amendment rights. As Oscar Wilde once said “I may not agree with you, but I will fight to the death to protect your right to make a fool of yourself”.

  8. Chris Says:

And for Tampabay Buc fans sake here’s something positive . So far I don’t like the unfinished Hameis yet, but I don’t ever question his heart or character. They would have to drag him off if injured.

  9. The Buc Realist Says:

If his first option is covered, college kaepernick will panic and run!!! Gang Tackles will be the call of the day!!!. And the D-line should not ever run past him to keep lanes closed!!!!! The LB’s should be free enough and have enough speed to keep the protester kneeling for good!!!! It time that the Bucs D knocks some sense into him!!!!

    Go Bucs!!!!!

Will Joe be waving the american flag when the Bucs D Sacks QB afro-blunder for the 5th time????

  10. LakeLandBuc Says:

There’s maybe 10-12 teams in the NFL, with a talented roster. It has everything to do with ownership, drafting, coaching, free agent signings etc. A few seasons ago the 49er’s were a Top-5 team and Kap was a Top-10 QB. Then came the turmoil with the head coach and the GM. Players were retiring, leaving for free agency, some was cut for off field issues. And the franchise became an unstable franchise, just that quick. You can count the stable franchise on one hand, that’s bad for the NFL, bad for the ratings.

  11. Chris Says:

You’re right Lakeland. The good teams, stable involved owners, coaches and drafting. The bad teams continuously make mistakes

  12. ElioT Says:

If anyone is thinking this is some kind of an easy game for the Bucs, you either haven’t paid much attention to this team for the last 13 years or you’re a complete idiot.

We have historically been a “cure all” for struggling QBs!!!!!!!! We have revived and made careers for back-ups and old cans.

Last time we played Afro-Clown and the 9’ers this jackass rolled out of the pocked and killed us all day long. 33-14 was it? Remember?

This team and us fans need to go into this game very humble or we’re in for some serious disappointment.

    Go Sucs!

  13. Miko Says:

POUND THE P*SS OUT OF THEM!!!…cant stand Kelly and Kap…

  14. Bucsfanman Says:

    What Realist said!!!

  15. mike n Says:

this is a bad team… terrible qb, no Hyde and average D. We are off a bye… have to win here!

  16. Lord Cornelius Says:

I’ve learned not to take any NFL team for granted. Even the worst teams can pull of some amazing performances any given week. The 49ers absolutely demolished the Rams week 1 and I watched the entire game. Their defense looked great. They haven’t looked the same since but neither have the Bucs since we saw their week 1 performance.

  17. BringBucsBack Says:

ElioT- Agee! I said something similar in an earlier post. The Cards got right, the Rams behind Case Keenum got right; even Paxton Lynch got right (only to be benched after one full game) on our “Get Right Bucs”. I sure hope our Bucs break this trend.

  18. BucFan20 Says:

Sorry sorry sorry team? People who live in glass houses should not be throwing stones. See the stats? See the Carolina stats? 1 TD 6 points. How many points has this team been scoring? We have a sorry team. Last game we won by luck! People that are not blind see where we are. So to poke at them you may as well poke at us .

  19. Kobe Faker Says:

    Betting line dropping

    It was tampa -2 & -2.5

    Now tampa -1

Respected sharps betting on san fran and sideshow boobie

  21. D-Rome Says:

If the Bucs lose to the Forty-Whiners on Sunday there will still be people on this site who are totally confident in Dirk Koetter for no good reason.

Kaepernick is a terrible QB but would it really surprise anyone if he ends up throwing over 200 yards with 2TDs and one rushing TD against the Bucs defense? Let’s not forget the Bills defense is among the the best in the NFL. The Bucs defense is not.

  22. D-Rome Says:

Also, let’s not forget that when other teams fan bases see the Bucs on their schedule they pencil in a W and that’s including the 49ers fans.

  23. 813bucboi Says:

    wow…..LOL….GO BUCS!!!!

  24. gack Says:

This is setting up to be a huge biff for the Bucs…

  25. Doctor Stroud Says:

“Unless the media has an opportunity for me somewhere, I’ll always explore those opportunities,” Chip Kelly told reporters. “But, I’m not going anywhere.” A Bucs victory not only gives the team a badly needed win to stay in the hunt for the division race but would also increase the chances for Mr. Kelly to be sent packing back to the college ranks. May he walk the plank!

  26. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I cannot believe anyone here wanted Chip Kelly as coach at one point.

  27. BigHogHaynes Says:

I’ll be taking a knee at the sound of the Anthem Sunday in support of Colin, the rest of you can do whatever you feel, this is America! Simple as that!

  28. LakeLandBuc Says:

Lift Every Voice And Sing is my Anthem

  29. Guzzie Says:

Everyone said we should’ve beat the Rams, and everyone was right, the Rams didn’t beat us, the Bucs beat themselves, would it surprise anyone if we lost this weekend

  30. Guzzie Says:

And I’m sure Jameis will throw 4 tds this weekend and all of a sudden everyone will start talking about the playoffs SMDH

  31. cmurda Says:

I have seen on more than one occasion when Hawaiian Buc was so blown away by ridiculous comments that there was no other alternative but to call them out. I’m there right now on this article. One commenter talks about how Chip Kelly has beaten us before and so has Kap. Need I remind you what we did to the Chip Kelly lead Eagles last year. Must I also ask you to watch what Kap has done this year. Kap literally missed at least 5 wide open huge passes while facing no pressure. Please tell me I didn’t read someone say IR all the injured guys regardless of severity and pick up a bunch of street guys. You know because these street guys would give us a much better chance than McCoy, Ayers, D Martin etc. would. SMH

  32. BKNYfootballhead Says:

    @ lightning Buc

gtf outta here with that nonsense. you’re a real enlightened one, aren’t you.

  33. DB55 Says:

    Cmurda

You forgot the “stupid ignorant idiot” part.

  34. The Buc Realist Says:

    @bighogheinous

We do not want to hear what you are going to do on your knees for other men!!!!

As far as the game goes!!! May there be a defensive beat down by the Bucs defense!!!! late hits might be approved!!!! The only thing I want to hear about this game is how the Bucs Manhandled the 49ers!!!!!!!

    Go Bucs!!!!!!

  35. Buc1987 Says:

LakeLand…How do you stand it all and why do you watch?

  36. Buc1987 Says:

Oh and Kap only cares about Kap.

Those that think otherwise, are being naive.

  37. Buccaneer scotty Says:

We need to win and look good doing it !

  38. BKNYfootballhead Says:

    @ 87

Spot on. Donating 1 million and all proceeds of jersey sales to charity after losing millions in endorsemts is a selfish act, indeed. I’m sure his pr team advised him that scrutiny and unpopularity are just what he needs in an entertainment career. He must be the naive one.

  39. BKNYfootballhead Says:

I’m also pretty sure working countless hours and raising tons of money for children with heart conditions makes him an entitled human being. The welcoming of death threats for a cause makes him such a hog for attention, too.

  40. orlbucfan Says:

Oh fer godssake, joe!! What is it with you, and all this noise about the 49ers QB?? I am a true political lefty. That said, what is it with all this hot air?? Can we get back to talkin’ football? Go Bucs!!

  41. Eric Says:

One of the worst football games ever played was when we went into San Fran and they beat us with dried up OJ Simpson at RB.

We needed it to clinch our first NFC Central Title and we laid an egg.

    I take nothing for granted.

  42. Big HogHaynes Says:

@Realist: 11 games to play with 7 more games to win to show improvement over the last REGIME! Usually we don’t do very well out west! ………but we are in the process of changing the culture! GO BUCS! SALUTE TO COLIN!

  43. James Walker Says:

I agree with George Carlin ““Pride should be reserved for something you achieve or obtain on your own, not something that happens by accident of birth. Being Irish isn’t a skill… it’s a genetic accident. You wouldn’t say I’m proud to be 5’11”; I’m proud to have a pre-disposition for colon cancer.”

Pride in your country is just jingoist hogwash. You can Love your country, but to be PROUD?

    Defintion: Proud (adjective)
1.feeling deep pleasure or satisfaction as a result of one’s own achievements, qualities, or possessions or those of someone with whom one is closely associated.

You can’t be proud of the the place your parents decided to conceive.
