Former Bucs tight end and NFL analyst Anthony Becht was fired up!

Speaking on the Buccaneers Radio Network after the Bucs clobbered the 49ers to pull to 3-3 and a half-game from the division-leading Dixie Chicks, Becht said he thinks we know who the Bucs are.

Who are they, these Bucs? After geeking over the blocking of the offensive line, Becht specifically said how Ali Marpet stoned, blasted and blew up blitzing linebackers. Becht said, “Now you are putting out tape. Who are you? What kind of identity are you?”

Becht already knows: smashmouth, punch-the-defense-in-the-nuts, physical offense, that’s what.

This just might get fun, folks.

  3. MadMax Says:

My man Marpet…THE DON! I was touting him so much during the draft. 2nd year now and is he showing up or what? Man, so happy for him. But Pamphile deserves credit too!

Anyone else think Marpet could move to Center? I really dont want that for him if what Ive heard is true (Centers make less $$ than guards, but we could change that and it would be worth it!!!!!!). Well, he played LT in College.

So how about trying him as our LEFT TACKLE! Move Donovan to RT.

Only way to know is to try…. right?

I love the potential of Quizzie AND Peyton Barber in this offense.

For some reason, I’ve been thinking that Barber is gonna end up being a stud in the NFL.

And Quizzie runs with so much heart and great vision…

I’m loving this team’s potential at this point…

    10-6, here we come… ?

Is it me joe or does Rodgers seems more fast on his feet than Martin?and he gets in & out of trafgic alot quicker too and is harder to bring down.man is he quick or what when hes out in the open field?!

Don’t think you are wrong. He’s shiftier than Martin it seems.

This is where the hate comes from, unrealistic expectations.. Rodgers is one of millions of back who have had 2 good games back to back. That was a good run blocking o line beating a poor run D. I’m more excited about Shepherd. And no one should be mad if Oakland beats us by 10, they have a better than they look D and explosive offense.

  13. BigStinky Says:

We could easily be 3-5 after the next 2 games and back to REALITY. Still not sure if this team can win more than 6 or 7 games this year. Picked them to be 10-6 at the beginning of the year but NOT sure after how they have looked so far. Atlanta is the ONLY winning team we have beaten and they were 0-0 when we played them the first time. NOT so sure we can beat them again at this point. Let’s just hope we can win at LEAST 1 of the next 2 games.

For me, what would be classic? JW3 and the offense to say to the defense, “hold them to 17 and we got the rest”.

  15. Blackmagic00 Says:

And the name is blackmagic00. Not blavmagic00. Been here since this site started, just layer low for a year or two. So glad to see the fans here getting better. And how’s it going 87?

  16. Nick2 Says:

Damn Joe now you have me fired up. That was inspiring! Who would have known Ali Marpet future Pro Bowler!!!!

  17. Warthog Says:

I loved the game but let’s keep it real: the 49ers are prettttty sucky. Psyched for the raiders game!

After watching two years of Lovie led teams get pushed around I for one love it that this team chain whipped the 49ers yesterday. Bad team or not, a conference win on the road (west coast no less) is an accomplishment for the Bucs. The Bucs had some of that Steelers identity…play a very physical football game that punishes the other team, run the ball down your opponent’s throat, and take the life out of them by tossing TD”s to our star WR. Regardless of whatever happens next week this game for me was a milestone in the rebuilding the culture of this team.

Bucs finally beat a team they were SUPPOSED to beat in that team’s crib. ‘Bout time you did it, guys. Still can’t get over how bad the 49ers look. They have always been one of the premier teams. I liked Payton Barber from what I saw in preseason: a big RB who will run over people and not fumble. He, Rodgers and Muscle Hamster will give defenses fits. Good. Now, let’s beat the Raiders in our crib next week!! 🙂

Iamkingsu I agree totally, don’t overlook Antone Smith’s contribution. Dude came in this week and balled out. I am more excited about him than anyone, as an FSU grad I could never understand how this guy never really got a chance (even as a 3rd down back). Much like Chris Thompson in Washington, finally getting his chance and he is playing very well. As a side note, I still feel Jameis is better in a faster pace offense, would love to see Jameis’ numbers when we go hurry up vs when we huddle. I’ve said it before, get to line, look over the defense and then make the play call, that is where he is at his best. Can either go quick or take time off the clock, will wear the defense out, they will have difficulty substituting. Another side note, LOL, what the F took Koetter so long to use Shepard in the Offense, he an Jameis had great chem in pre-season when he got his chance, and for the love of God, sneak the ball with Jameis on 4th and 1, stop handing it off 6 yards deep, how many times do you have to learn this lesson!! Go Bucs!
