Mr Kaufman, I am confused. You will not vote a good WR into the hall of fame because they are not great yet you have no problem stumping for a one dimensional average to below average head coach with a career losing playoff record. One who left super bowls on the table with 2 teams. I am confused why mediocrity is acceptable for coaches in the hall of fame but not players. Obviously, I agree both MEshawn and VJAX are not Hall of Fame worthy that being said you basically are saying being a media darling and a nice guy actually outweighs on field accomplishments by electing such an unqualified / undeserving head coach. Makes no sense sir. you are smart man there is NO way in hell you can justify Dungy going in before Tom Flores or Jimmy Johnson other than the nice guy BS… It’s a shame that the first minority to win a super bowl is not in the hall. You want to talk winning percentage go look up Flores playoff wining percentage. Especially considering you stump for a guy with a career losing record in the playoffs. It a shame that the hall of fame has become nothing more than a meaningless popularity contest similar to the pro bowl. I always though the hall was for the best of the best not feel good stories, mediocre players and coaches. The legend of Dungy has surpassed his actual accomplishments years ago. it’s very sad… But Kudos for being Politically Correct, it’s more important than integrity after all…

Couldn’t have said it better. T.O. snub was a travesty. I imagine the backlash of Sapp being first ballot had a bit to do with it.

@tmaxcon Consider this friend, without Tony Dungy, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers would be an absolute joke of a franchise that never accomplished Anything worthy of note. Before Tony Dungy turned this Franchise around, we had done zilch, apart from making it to the NFC championship game a couple times, we were perienial losers, an utter laughing stock. Regardless of what you feel about his offensive philosophy, he transformed the bucs from hopeless rejects, into consistent winners. I don’t know how any Bucs fan could not appreciate that, considering our recent woes. I would cherish a coach that could lead our team into the playoffs as many times as Dungy did.
