Another Maturity Sign For Mike Evans

October 18th, 2016

Evans2016The man tasked with fixing the K-Y hands and the mental issues of Mike Evans referenced another strong sign that Evans is evolving into a superstar.

Wide receivers coach/offensive coordinator Todd Monken hopped on the Buccaneers Radio Network last night and talked about Evans.

He pointed to the first ball thrown to Evans against the Panthers. Evans dropped it. But Evans kept his focus and didn’t drop another ball, and he finished off with a productive game, 89 yards and a touchdown.

That’s evidence of the new, more mature Mike Evans, Monken said. Joe knows an early drop by Evans in a game last year might have led to a stunning unraveling. (See Houston)

Monken credits Evans’ health and ability to practice through the offseason, among other things, for his growth as a consistent performer.

Here’ a radical idea. Mike Evans skipped his last two years of college and like #3 played as a 21 year old rookie.

Perhaps he’s matured because…uh…he’s literally more mature. I give Moncken credit for working with ME’s hands but Mike is still growing into his body and his emotions. He’s more mature…because he’s literally more mature.

I also haven’t seen him begging for PI calls this year every time a play doesn’t go well. I like new Mike Evans.

    And thanks to VINCENT JACKSON!!

V-Jax is like mike Evans Big Brother/father.

Letting V-Jax play out his contract was a noble thing.

Licht is trying to change our culture.

You don’t do that by treating players like trash!!
    Like San Diego does!!
