Bring Miko To Tampa

March 11th, 2016
Flamboyant Miko Grimes., wife of CB Brent Grimes.

Flamboyant Miko Grimes, wife of cornerback Brent Grimes.

So former All-Pro cornerback Brent Grimes, who used to terrorize the Bucs, is unemployed again having been waved goodbye by the Dolphins.

Given the track record of the Dolphins of late, that’s hardly a sign Grimes is done.

However, Grimes, 33, is clearly on his last legs in the NFL. Joe still wishes, at worst, the Bucs could give him a shot to make the club this summer after his three consecutive Pro Bowl appearances.

Just as important, bringing his outspoken wife Miko to Tampa Bay would be high entertainment.

Miko Grimes is not one to hold back her thoughts. And she is often known to go ballistic on Twitter, if not at tailgate parties. Sadly, after her rant implying a Dolphins beat writer could, at some point in his life, find himself shot, she took her Twitter account private.

A story surfaced yesterday that three NFL general managers wouldn’t sign Grimes because they are scared of Miko. Talk about three seriously insecure suits. So apparently guys getting popped for DUIs, no driver’s license, weed, et all, is OK, but God forbid a player’s wife is active on social media. Please!

Hell, Andre Rison had his house burned down by whacked out significant other “Left Eye” Lopes, and he still had over 1,000 yards receiving that same season. So tell Joe exactly how the nutso women in players’ lives are a distraction?

Distractions are distractions if you let them be distractions. Worry about the game and everything else is white noise.

Yes, Miko Grimes is nuts, which means she is entertainment and would give Joe plenty of lively fodder. And if Brent Grimes still has any gas left in the tank, then it’s a win/win for the Bucs and Bucs fans.

I sincerely hope taking care of his money considering who his chic is. Me personally Will Jackson III is on my cb wish list in the second round.

  5. Strider ....Sec 147 Says:

Lmao great pic of love to be in the crowd with her she probably as rowdy as me and my brother

  6. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Bring on Miko….and while we’re at it how about Amanda Tynes……Buc Wives…..Joe….be careful what you wish for with Miko!!!

  7. Tiny Tim Says:

Because when she tweets comments that are viewed to be locker room comments, it reflects poorly on her husband because he is considered the source. Did you not see her comments about tannerhill? Now players are answering questions about a comment a player’s wife made. Coaches hate distraction. She is an unecessary distraction and she cant even rush the passer. Pass

  8. LifeOfABucFan Says:

Oh lordy, I would love to have her on our side! She’ll keep the opposing fans that sit on our stadiums at bay..

Love Miko..it’s just that these business suit men are not use to a woman who saids whatever she wants to say!

  9. flmike Says:

She’s no sports dummy, she knows sh!t, besides being a college athlete herself she was on sports radio here in Miami and she could hold her own on any sport.

  10. Jerseybuc Says:

You would need a bodyguard Joe if she came to Tampa.

  11. Jeagan1999 Says:

Sure…and while we are at it, let’s get Greg Hardy and Johnny Football too!

Everybody loves a three ring circus!

Ladies and Gentlemen, and kids of all ages, step right up…..

  12. Tiny Tim Says:

Its not a matter of whether or not she knows sports. Its a matter of whether or not her comments are viewed as brent’s comments. I’ve seen that question before. Its different when rick stroud talks about something in the locker room because you cant tie his comments to anyone. Whether true or false, some of her comments will be tied to brent. All we need is miko saying david has no heart and people will assume she got that tidbit from brent himself. Now the story becomes brent calls out david yada yada yada

  13. martinii Says:

I’m surprised we didn’t hold on to Sterling Moore. He filled in several times last year and would be a good back up at CB.

  14. mac Says:

This is ridiculous!!! Are there really idiots out there that are seriously worried about controlling this little 120 lb. spoiled bipolar girl? Just give the dude a one year deal and tell him to play ball and the fans will ignore her Dumb ass… Gesh!!!

  15. LifeOfABucFan Says:

I’m told CB Brent Grimes has agreed to terms on a two-year deal worth $16.5M with the #Bucs.

    We got him!!!

  16. DB55 Says:

    ^^^^what she said^^^^

  17. Rick McDonough Says:

Disagree with the bring Miko to Tampa statement we don’t need the distraction she caused in Miami last year with this young club…bring the player leave the wife in Miami…and he’s a Buc.

  18. MadMax Says:

Well arent you just a fun little lollipop dipped in crazy! Haha, I like her! And I hope we sign Grimes….wanted him a few years ago.

  19. 813bucboi Says:

i’ll pass….I don’t think he is better than sterling moore…I don’t know why we would sign him…we will still need to draft a cb or need one in FA….this gm is clueless!!!!!…GO BUCS!!!!

  20. Pickgrin Says:

For $8M per year – he better be better than Moore….

We’ll see how this works out – but that sounds like a lot of $ for this guy and his crazy a$$ wife.

  21. firethecannons Says:

No. Bad idea, stupid bad idea

  22. Mike Johnson Says:

This will be a very bad move for our Bucs. Bringing Grimes To Tampa Bay. His wife Milo is a mental case. She has proven to be disruptive to team chemistry/spirit/well being. She makes statements about fellow players and coaches derogatorily. There are some terms I could use here to describe her and her behavior..But Joe might Ban me! Stay away from Grimes. He is an over the hill Defensive back at 33 . But just watch us..we will sign him. Thus bringing more unneeded and unwanted problems to this already problem plagued team.

  23. Buxfan Says:

She belongs in south side St. Pete.

  24. BucGator Says:

I bet they made her delete her social media accounts in order to sign the deal. She deleted her account today.

  25. Rick McDonough Says:

For a $8million/year overpriced Db I hope they at least have some kind of “keep Miko’s irrelevant detrimental comments” to herself in the contract!

  26. godzilla13 Says:

MJ – Throw something positive out once and a while. Be careful what you wish for..welcome the Buccaneers newest member – Miko!
