Steve Duemig

Joe was back in the steel cage today firing away with the dean of Tampa Bay sports radio, Steve Duemig of WDAE-AM 620.

Yes, there is no offseason for the “JoeBucsFan.com Hour.”

All kinds of topics were on the table.

Enjoy!

I don’t know how you guys sit there and talk to steve d who show after show proves he knows nothing about the Bucs or even football. How can anyone that claims to know football say free agency can’t help. Simeon Rice, Hardy Nickerson, Vincent Jackson, Reggie White, Deion Sanders, Peyton Manning all were free agents but I guess none of those players are any good and their former teams didn’t want them.

[As always, you are allowed to critique on-air talent at WDAE-AM 620 for Bucs views provided, but not get personal. Joe has been clear on this since Chucky was coach. Suggesting firings, et al, are not within bounds. Like any business, if a company was losing money on an on-air employee, he or she would not be employed. Joe enjoys and values his relationship with WDAE-AM 620 and Mr. Duemig and truly appreciates folks for listening. — Joe]

Winston got robbed! 4000 yards is great for a rookie and should of had way more!

  4. The Buc Realist Says:

Funny how some thought Jfro 6 pak throwing for 4000 yards was a huge deal then say that it is no big deal that JW3 does it!!!!

    Tampa2 mafia logic right !!!!!!!

Joe needs to stop giving Lovie credit for drafting Jameis… That was an obvious Glazer move (sfter getting the nod from Licht).

But I give Lovie 100% credit for Kwon The Great. We found both the offensive & defensive leader of our team in less than 5 rounds. Lovie’s not here, so all credit to Licht on that one! Enjoy Retirement Lovie! But its Time to GO HARD in 2016!!!

    Ugh… That was brutal…Like always…

I Just wanna listen to the Joes talk their talk…

    DAE, please fix this.

  12. Evo Says:

Kudos joe. Last week I called you spineless. But leaving comments open on thsee post finally is very brave of you. I know he reads your site. I wonder if he reads these comments. But kudos for letting us voice what we think of him.

  13. This Guy Right Here Says:

Damn, I miss nine87 the fan… Commish and his boys, just about having a good time… Dude came across as one of your boys watching the games with you….

Where Dawg comes across as that ‘Mad-At-The-World-Uncle’, in the other room, yelling at bright house customer service, cause they wont air the horse races he was talking about all week on his radio show…

  14. Buc1987 Says:

The JBF hour is to educate B-D on all things Bucs, that’s obvious by now. I get everyone’s point and I feel your pain too.

I truly feel that if the Bucs go to the playoffs in the near future he will still have this attitude that they suck. That’s his schtick. I guess it works but I have no idea why. Every time I listen to the dude, I kick myself for not going into broadcasting years ago. Listening to him tells me it would be a piece of cake for me.

We all should know WHY the Joe’s go on with him by now. I’ll leave it at that, as I don’t want Joe to threaten me with the ban stick again. I just figured everyone else is bashing so I have the right to do so as well.

  15. Buc1987 Says:

Evo…oh and you can bet your ass he reads the comments. He once called us all maggots. So he gets what he gives.

  16. ndog Says:

Got it Joe and I certainly don’t want to hurt your business. Will be mindful going forward.

  17. Evan Says:

Duemig is so infuriating – SO negative. Thank you for being the voices of logic/reason, Joes.

  18. Buc1987 Says:

ndog…when critiquing the guy on this site you have to skate a very thin line. This I’ve learned. You have to have tact. I’m pretty sure the JBF hour has done wonders for hits to the site.

That being said, Joe has to realize the frustration that fans have when they listen to him bash our team ALL THE TIME. None of that matters though. The all-mighty dollar is more important as it usually is.

If you think Duemig bashes the Bucs all the time then you’re really not listening.–Joe

  19. Joe Says:

    Thanks for understanding ndog.

  20. godzilla13 Says:

You are lucky if you hit 50% of your draft picks. That is three players a year tops. If you don’t supplement the draft with FA it could take a bad team seven years to rebuild a team? Joe you said the Bucs don’t have many players to sign other than Doug Martin? The Buccaneers have a total of 14 unsigned players. 10 FA and 4 RFA. The FA include Doug Martin, Sterling Moore, Chris Conte, Henry Melton, Tony McDaniel, Larry English, Bobby Rainey, Mike Jenkins, Da’Quan Bowers and Keith Tandy. RFA are Danny Lansanah, Bradley McDougald, Jorvorskie Lane and Russell Shepard. We still have to pay the players we re-sign including Martins 7M to 8M a year plus rookie contracts and we have enough money under the cap to sign three top teir players. I prefer JPP over Mario Williams.

Good show. Love the conflicting points of view. I listen every week. Alot of people dislike Duemig, but I see it as a chance to learn when I listen. He has been around and seen alot. So I take the chance to listen, sometimes I dont agree, but I respect his pov.

  22. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

skooled him on jameis and i loved it, gurley was a clear cut 2nd place but the writers have such biased againts jaboo and its disgusting, best and only point big dog had was the one in which the tampa media and fans are state of florida know all about jameis but the 31 other markets care less therefore the negative pops up first without really knowing the man or situation, future looks bright though

  23. Joe Says:

    Thanks LargoBuc.
