“I’m Now Going To Play To Give The Fans Excitement”

December 26th, 2015

LavonteDavidYou want to smile out there tomorrow in the sweltering winter sun surrounded by tens of thousands of Bears fans?

Lavonte David is going to help you out.

This week, David lamented being out of the playoff chase but said he has new motivation — and it’s about the little people.

“I’m now going to play to give the fans excitement, for something to look forward to for next year,” David told the Buccaneers Radio Network.

Man, Joe sure hopes David is joined by the rest of his teammates. The sad reality is the Bucs didn’t show up to start their last two games, an unthinkable and nasty stain on this season.

If the Bucs come out flat again tomorrow, then Joe will be enraged and disillusioned.

Hopefully, David and friends play like they did in the Mic’d Up segment with David below. Pretty interesting to see how emotional and supportive Johnthan Banks is. And it’s lots of fun to see the gameday intensity of linebackers coach Hardy Nickerson.

Enjoy.

errrr. I believe Joe mentioned that in his article.

  3. Jfgobucs Says:

    There’s your defensive Captain. …

  4. destro44 Says:

I still think we should stop deferring when we win the coin toss. Our defense continues to come out flat. Put the offense out there and let Martin and the oline set the tone.

  5. Tnew Says:

Wish we were in white tomortow

  6. JonBuc Says:

Now that the playoffs are out of reach…we’re going to go full throttle! Huh?

  7. BucTrooper Says:

Glad to see the Defensive Captain and (cough) snubbed pro bowler is going to START playing with a little emotion and fire.

Just in time for the meaningless part of the season.

  8. Bryce Says:

Agree buctrooper yeah seems to be a good time to start playing playoff ball

I think fans would just be happy to see that they are still capable of coming out with that kind of fire and passion. The last 2 weeks were straight up pathetic.

Nice to see LVD being vocal, hopefully he starts doing that consistently.

  10. Buccfan37 Says:

destro44… exactly, that’s my take also. It’s called thinking outside Lovie’s box.

  11. cometowin2 Says:

Are you saying LVD doesn’t always go full throttle. If so let me be the first of many to call you an idiot.

  12. BucTrooper Says:

    Dear “unbelievable…”

    What’s this “still” garbage?

The Bucs D has been so dead for 2 weeks Planned Parenthood is trying to sell parts of it.

  13. unbelievable Says:

Buctrooper, thank you clarifying your comprehension level before I replied.

The video shows LVD and other Buc defenders fired up, playing with passion. So I said Bucs fans would like to see if they can still even show up like that, given how pathetic and flat they were the last 2 weeks (as I said in my original post)

    Any other questions?

  14. JonBuc Says:

Ohs no’s…comes2qwik called me an idiot! Sorry for questioning the strong effort the past two weeks during must-win scenarios.

  15. BuccaneEric75 Says:

BucTrooper, that is funny because it’s true.

  16. The Buc Realist Says:

Excitement??? I think LVD forgot that he plays in Lovie’s defense!!!!!

  17. Rob Says:

Let’s just hope there’s not a penalty on the first play. We all know what happens then……

  18. Buc1987 Says:

    Whatever.

See ya next season buddy, the shows over now.

    Perfect Buc.

The clip reminded me how I felt about this team after that game. I really believed in this team. I thought they were not only going to the playoffs but maybe could even win a game there? Man, how times have changed. How could that team become the team we all saw against the Rams?? Everytime I watch one of these clips I see how emotional and supportive players are to one another. It usually involves the ones who have started with each other, Johnthan Banks, Alterraun Verner, William Gholston, Danny Lansanah and so on. Makes you think about one of the problems this year. The secondary and all the players who went in and out of the CB position. I bet Banks and Verner would be playing real well together at this time of the year and maybe, just maybe, we would be going to the playoffs?

destro44 and BuccFan37 make a great point about WTF is Lovie thinking when he defers every ****ing time he wins the coin flip. Just take the ****ing ball and try to set the tempo on offense behind Doug martin… Its going to be hot out there today; wear the Bears down with Doug Martin and control the time of possession. This is a winnable game and finishing 7-9 sure would look a lot better than 6-10 even if the Bucs will move from 13th or so in the draft order into the upper teens with a win….

  21. orlbucfan Says:

We gotta win the coin toss before all the deferring jazz goes down. Hey Joe, TAMPA BAY TIMES posted a very nice, accurate article about Adam Humphries today. When are you going to follow suit? Go Bucs and LVD!!

  22. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Lit up like a Christmas Tree.

  23. Buc1987 Says:

    Always defer.
