It All Starts Up Front

High praise for Bucs offensive line.

High praise for Bucs’ offensive line.

While Giants coach Tom Coughlin raved about America’s Quarterback, Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston — “no question,” Coughlin said about Jameis’ improvement in recent weeks — and is positively giddy about the one-two punch of Doug Martin and Charles Sims, Coughlin added the Bucs’ success is obviously about their offensive line.

Jameis, Martin and Sims owe plenty of their success to the line, Coughlin explained in his conference call with the Tampa Bay pen and mic club .

“But give credit to their offensive line,” Coughlin said. “They’ve made some changes and they’re still battling away and their ability to rush the ball against some very good defenses is quite obvious. That is the way in which you most help a young quarterback is rush the ball – let him throw off play action. All the things you’re seeing done right there.”

Coughlin is right and the subject still has Joe shaking his head.

Joe mever dreamed the offensive line would be playing this well. What Joe thought would be the weakest unit has turned out to be the best. Everyone in the Bucs’ organization deserve credit, from AC/DC-loving Jason Light to offensive line coach George Warhop.

And this is why Joe doesn’t believe right tackle Demar Dotson will gifted the starting, if he’s activated. Offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter always talks about continuity as the key for an offensive line. While Gosder Cherilus may be a shell of his former self, he is working wonders with rookie Ali Marpet.

No need to fix what is not broken. If Dotson joins Evan Smith and Kevin Pamphile on the bench, that is excellent depth few teams could brag about.

Can you Joe(s) please…. please….PLEASE… do a couple of articles day (even 1 would be nice)… without expressing your completely over-the-top idolatry for Jameis ??? It’s just too muvch… and like “Big Dog” told you on his show Weds. – it not only turns people off but also gets people rooting AGAINST Jameis (but for the Bucs) because of the anger you raise in people with your IDOLATION !!

    A) Joe isn’t here to worry about alienating anyone. B) Yeah, Joe’s going to write a lot about the franchise quarterback and the most interesting Buccaneer in years. C) He is America’s Quarterback. D) Joe writes plenty on other topics. –Joe

    @Largo

If you’re a Bucs fan and you’re rooting against Jameis you need to GTFO and find another team. If you don’t like Joe’s opinion of him, find another source for your Bucs news.

  3. DraftJameis Says:

Why the hell do you NOT want to be reminded of Winston’s success on a daily basis? The Bucs haven’t had a Jameis caliber (or potential caliber) player in their organization possibly ever. If the adoration for the SAVIOR OF THE FRANCHISE is too much for you, then go to a Jags or Dolphins blog and listen to them bitch about Tannehill and Bortles.

    Just my opinion!!!! Lovie deserves a teenie tiny amount of R. E. S. E. P. E. C. T. From you Joe(s) don’t ya think???

Here is the deal!!!! When the BUCS rally to victory behind the D tomorrow…. INSPIRED BY/Behind the ONLY DRAFTED PLAYER ON D…..MR. King Kwon Alexander…

Run a PRO Lovie article starting the genius behind the Greatest of Sorriest Coaches in BUC history…. 🙂

What kind of so called “fan” roots against the teams number one pick?? Your a strange bird..bet you take a lot of baths and have 6 cats!

  12. godzilla13 Says:

This story was not even about Jameis Winston. Its about Giants coach Tom Coughlin’s comment about improved our offense as a whole. On Demar Dotson. If JPP starts going around Donovan Smith and goes head hunting for Winston it may be time for a change. Demar Dotson is a better left tackle than Donovan Smith. Period. I just hope Jameis does not get hurt from a hit from the left side while Dotson, our best OL, sits on the bench because of “continuity.”

  13. Newbucsfan Says:

Sure is quiet on JBF today:( where’s everyone?..maybe it’s my stinking phone or maybe I’m just getting to Bucs obsessed:) lots of good college games on today too. Maybe that’s it. Oh well…

  14. JAB83 Says:

LOL… NBF…. The Fans of Depression and the trolls lose their momentum this time of week…. They are gearing up to blast us with all their BUCS suck mumbo jumbo…

  15. Fsuking Says:

“Oh yea let’s give Lovie Smith some respect” said no Bucs fan ever!

  16. Newbucsfan Says:

    Jab
Maybe a good Bucs win will finally quiet them! Let’s hope so on both counts.

  17. cmurda Says:

    Jab,

I know it was a smartphone issue but you just reminded me of this. LMAO.

Winning does make the trolls go away. This is a game where we will see a lot of the winston haters out and about just like the Skin game as both are big East coast markets that know they will be needing a new qb soon and would have loved to have a guy like jameis on their squad but can not be man enough to admit it; hence the hatred toward the kid…. You get a double dose of hatred from the NY squad as it is no secret that the Jets would have took winston if he fell to them given their qb mess and that could have happened if the bucs took Mariota which is probably why so many in that part of the world (including the media up there) were hyping the U Hawaii product so ****ing much! Lets go Bucs, kick the ***t outta the G-Men and let Winston have a stellar resume building type of game….. Seems like a lot of qbs have looked pretty ****ing good when they have played both the Buc and the giant secondaries as of late so barring heavy, heavy rain we might see a lot of yards and points on the board today. i say Bucs 26-24 with rain coming in to slow the game down a bit….

  19. dreambig Says:

LargoSam, you might want to explore routing for another team. Go route for the Titans or your boy Kirk Cousins. Jameis is making the Bucs relevant again and if you can’t get on board with that you are going to be very unhappy here. With your frequent obnoxious posts, you seem more like a troll than a bucs fan anyway.

  20. dreambig Says:

    ok, so I cant spell
