“Huge, Huge Situation This Sunday Trying To Block That Guy”

Rookie left tackle Donovan Smith is facing doom, says a former Buccaneers defensive end.

Former Bucs defensive end Steve White (1996-2001) has dived into the Xs and Os like he always does, and he can see past the Cowboys’ six consecutive losses.

White picks the Cowboys to beat the Bucs on Sunday at the Den of Depression.

“Greg Hardy is the scum of the earth, but he can play football,” White said. “He really can. And so, we’re going to have a huge, huge situation this Sunday trying to block that guy. We just are.”

A stated longtime fan of the Bucs and Cowboys, White is intimately familiar with both teams and says he picked the Cowboys before watching last week’s game film of both teams. After studying tape, White says the Bucs look better than he thought defensively, but he’s still says Dallas will reign.

White praised Sterling Moore but had harsh words for Akeem Spence’s dumb and critical personal foul on the Giants’ game-sealing drive Sunday, calling it “a level of stupid that is rarely seen.”

White said he is confident the Bucs would have cut Spence “on the spot because it was such an egregious situation.” However, that didn’t happen, per White, because Spence is “the only nose tackle that we have right now that’s actually giving us anything.”

Joe is very curious to see how the Bucs respond Sunday, and Joe’s just keeping his perspective simple. Dallas has lost six in a row and has a low-rung quarterback in Matt Cassel. The Bucs have to show up at home and find a way to win before consecutive road trips to Philly and Indy.

Steve White’s starts at the 4-minute mark of the WDAE-AM 620 audio below.

    Kick the kraken in the nuts right off the bat and tell him that’s for the lady you beat up. F’n garbage human. And to think some people wanted him in Tampa…hmmmmm

  2. Jon Says:

    bring on the “oh I never wanted him” fan club…

  3. Pasco Jim Says:

    The Bucs have a way of making third tier qbs look like joe montana
    Hardy is a pos human being but an animal on the field after the qb
    This week’s game will be whomever makes the fewest dumb azz penalties and TOs

    The Kraken is going up against one of the best rookie LT in the league. Donovan Smithereans is up for the challenge. He just faced Jason Pierre-Paul, who by the way left the game with a donut. Mr Smith has also danced with Cameron Wake, JJ Watt, Jadeveon Clowney and Vic Beasley to name a few. Football Outsiders has the Buccaneer Offensive Line raked 10th overall in run blocking. Who would have imagined our OL would be in the top ten of anything? Smith is improving every game and there has been some talk about Ali Marpets injury? No problem, our second string was our first string!

    Spence’s stupid penalty was really Lovie’s fault…..Spence can’t be blamed.

  6. LargoBuc Says:

    Incompetent Lovie Smith is losing this lockerroom fast. Maybe Spence wouldnt commit such stupid acts if he played for a real NFL head coach….boy that was fun 🙂

    @Largo

    Incompetent Lovie Smith is losing this lockerroom fast.

    Just curious as to your source? TheRealist? A website. Really that is a major charge and I’m not disagreeing because I’m not in that locker room nor do I have any friends who are. Maybe Joe can help.

    @JOE

    This is the second time I’ve read a poster make this charge, perhaps it’s happened more often. IMHO…losing the locker room would be the end for Lovie.

    You are in the locker room! Have you seen any evidence to back this up?
    Does Lovie still have the locker room?

    As far as Hardy we all concede he has talent. He appears to a scary dude because he is a violent psychopath who is only walking around free because he can play football. Jerry Jones would hire the leader of ISIS if he could rush the passer.

    And so here’s my strategy. We know he’s going to be good so it’s not like we can motivate him to be any better. Why fear upsetting him. I say try to get in his head and get him to do something stupid so he gets run.

    Did you see the pics of his girlfriend after the assault? How about the run in with Biscaccia and all the other players? Rile him and and make him go off!!!

    After each play…”Damn Hardy that’s the best you got. No wonder you have to beat up women!!…just keep feeding it to him. Normally I would consider such low blows incredibly bad sportsmanship but Hardy is beneath any respect. Make him lose his temper. Again anger causes on to lose their intellect. Not taht Hardy has anything much to lose in that area.

    Greg Hardy may end up suspended by the game.
