**Tim Jennings is not officially on the roster but will be soon.

***Garrett Gilkey and Patrick were waived injured, which means if unclaimed he’ll return to the roster and head to injured reserve. Larry English and Kenny Bell are on injured reserve. Akeem Spence is on the physically unable to perform list.

  1. Wesley Says:

They need to somehow find two starting o-lineman and a defensive end.

  2. Wesley Says:

If we only could somehow find two starting o-lineman and a defensive end.

  3. Louis Friend Says:

Guessing that Hall, Lane, Fragel and Brate are going to sleep uneasy tonight. Their positions are tenuous at best. If they bring in Gardner from the Cowboys one of them is going to go.

  4. Louis Friend Says:

Come to think of it, none of them may be here by the end of Sunday

  5. ElioT Says:

    Did Kevin Pamphile get cut?

  6. thunderchunkyPA Says:

WHY is Conte still on this team? He needs to worry, along with Brate.

  7. Nick Says:

Kevin Pamphile?? I only count 52

  8. Wesley Says:

    Our safety’s pretty much suck.

  9. Joehelldeloxley Says:

what seem to be the best prospect, at this time, for the positions we need to recruit ?

  10. Bucs Fan #7423 Says:

YAY! We cut Patrick Omameh 😀

  11. Wesley Says:

I’d take Leonard Johnson over Conte any day.

  12. IndianaBuc Says:

Aldon Smith is still out there isn’t he?

  13. Bucwild007 Says:

Gilkey is not on IR he was waived (injured)

  14. Bucs Fan #7423 Says:

YES!!!! WE GOT TIM JENNINGS!! 😀 😀 😀

  15. BucFan20 Says:

And Sims is here in case they don’t want to pick up any yards rushing.

  16. Buccfan37 Says:

Looks to me about a dozen new players from last year, a little less than a quarter of the team. Go Bucs! Come on team! Beat the Titans!

  17. Wesley Says:

How much time do the bucs have to pick up a waiver player?

  18. Bucs Fan #7423 Says:

I feel really good about our 53 man roster. We can make the playoffs

  19. kslab Says:

Happy for Hall and Humphries. Feeling better about our kick return game

  20. Big Marlon B Says:

sucks that Khaseem Greene got caught in the #s game. he flashed every time he was out there, and he was a big time playmaker in college. looked like it was all coming together for him.

i’d like to see them bring in TE Joseph Fauria. but it won’t happen…i’m sure they will only carry 3 TEs, and Brate is just a placeholder until Jennings becomes official.

Fragel must have looked good in camp, because he did nothing in games. and Masifilo just seems to keep sticking, no matter what position he plays, or if he’s on the active roster or practice squad. if nothing else, the kid hustles his ass off on every single play. that’s probably what earned him his spot.

  21. kslab Says:

    Wesley

I think they have 24 hours from the release of a player to put in a claim for him.

  22. Lakeland Buc Says:

This roster is a bigger joke than the coaching staff and front office. It’s time for Lovie and Son to go dumpster diving for someone else trash. One team trash is another team treasure,it ain’t even funny no more. To make matters worse, 25% of these players won’t be on the roster at the end of the season. As the Bucs Turns will win an Emmy for best new daytime series.

  23. DefenseRules Says:

With Tim Jennings, our defense would have 23 bodies. L&L might go with as few as 24, but 25 seems more likely. Can see grabbing at least 1 DE and maybe 2 if available.

  24. WINdycitybuc Says:

There is going to be some turnover, no doubt. By this time tomorrow there will be 4-5 new guys on this roster…that will make us better. Practice Squad is in the works, as well. Go Bucs!

  25. Danny Says:

I must have missed something. When did Masifilio move from DL to OL?

  26. @eric Says:

Darnell Docket is out there, not a bad gamble

  27. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Thanks from TBBF!!!

It’s a rare occurrence to celebrate when someone loses their job.
But, that happens in the NFL…not only is it a job lost but in many cases it is a dream unrealized. Some of these players will not ever play in a regular season NFL game. They will have to remember their experience with a team in preseason.
To all the players that tried out for our Buccaneers, thank you. We appreciate your efforts and wish you the very best. We hope you have become and remain Buccaneer fans.

  28. Carl's Toe Says:

Danny it was Licht’s idea to move him to offense! After burning 30 million in Glazer money he has to patch the sinking ship anyway he can!

  29. StPeteBucsFan Says:

    @TBBF

That was the classiest post I’ve ever seen on JBF. Well done sir.

Now if you could just get control of Pablo….

  30. LUVMYBUCS Says:

I was pulling for Josh Keyes to make the roster – hopefully he makes the practice squad

Side note: Denver cut Tony Carter – he would be a solid (back up) slot corner

  31. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Cheers 2 U TBBF #respect

    Well said sir !

  32. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @St. Pete

Thanks….and no way to control Pablo…..

  33. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Imagine how a guy like Khaseem Greene feels today…..10 tackles and a 98 yd Int return for a TD & gets cut…..I hope he clears waivers and ends up on our practice squad……but there is a part of me that hopes another team picks him up and he ends up starting for them.

You gave it everything you had and it wasn’t quite good enough…..

Maybe….just maybe, our Bucs are getting better!!!

  34. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Note: In 2013, the Kansas Chiefs claimed seven players off waivers as they attempted to load up with talent after a league-worst 2-14 record in 2012. (Five of those players are still with the Chiefs)

Hopefully we can add at least – 7 solid prospect to the roster.

    Go Bucs!

  35. Eric Says:

    What about Sidbury….

  36. Lakeland Buc Says:

TBBF, So now the players that was waived has the unpleasant opportunity, to ex plain to their grandchildren 30 years from now. How they couldn’t make the final 53 of a 2-14 team that stunk like a outhouse. The Bucs should never have claimed Khaseem Greene off waivers, they never had intentions of him making the final 53. No matter how he performed in training camp/preseason, they should have let another team claim him. A team who was going to give him a legit shot at playing, now he gotta go and learn another team defense. He clearly earned a spot on this roster, there wasn’t a linebacker on this team that out played him during the preseason. It reminds me of our 2011 preseason, when George Johnson had 3 sacks and was waived. He cleared waivers and was placed on the practice squad, the Bucs went on to give up 500 points and ranked dead last in defense.

  37. StPeteBucsFan Says:

    @LuvmyBucs

Thanks for that factoid. Two teams have recently gone from 2-14 to 11 wins.
Of course everybody knows the Andrew Luck story and nobody yet believes Fameis is Andrew Luck.

The other..the Chiefs used Alex Smith effectively but Smith is a good not great QB IMO.

I do believe Andy Reid is a good maybe great coach and so that explains some of it.

But I was unaware of all those pickups until you just posted those facts.
Great pickup although the C Littles on this board will not be moved.

  38. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ Lakeland Buc

Maybe Greene had a chance to showcase his skills and will be picked up…..if not, I suspect he be on our practice squad.

  39. Rob Says:

For what it’s worth, three players released today who, according to their respective local media, had good camps and were released with the hope they would sneak through and be signed to the releasing team’s practice squad were:

Ben Gardner DE Dallas – mention by another poster previously
    Matt Rotherman G GB
    Terry Poole OT Seattle

  40. Nuc if u Buc Says:

Been telling you guys Hall was a gift that fell to n our lap since the day we invited him to camp, crazy how we basically cut half our picks, sheesh, and how is Simms still here talk about a bust

  41. Lovie 2.0 Says:

I hope i’m wrong but this sure seems like the 2-14 team that had the same exact concerns last year, defensive and offensive line. this franchise keeps making the same mistakes no matter who they hire…. As a side note I’ve never heard this kind of talk about waiver wire scouring for scraps from a .500 football team. truly a sad day can we please get to the regular season so we see what we really have

  42. cometowin2 Says:

Did Jason Williams do anything at LB? Sure didnt outplay Greene. Only player we waived I’m pissed about.

There’s got to be some better guards and tackles out there being let go then Edwards, Fragel and Pamphile. Brate is good as gone. Conte is not going to be here long. Praying for a DE or two. Will take another Jack Smith and 4 other players. Go get them Licht.

  43. DCBUCFAN Says:

@ LUVMYBUCS..reach me at mikiyas1@hotmail.com couple of things we need to talk about..been a long time..
yes I do feel the team is thin on offensive line.. still not sold on Warhop’s scheme..time will tell!

  44. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Teams that went from…..

The worst record (Picking 1st Overall)

    To

    Above .500 the following year

    Texans
    • 2013 Houston Texans (2-14)
    • 2014 Houston Texans (*9-7) DE Jadeveon Clowney

    Chiefs
    • 2012 Kansas City Chiefs (2-14)
    • 2013 Kansas City Chiefs (*11-5) LT Eric Fisher

    Colts
    • 2011 Indianapolis Colts (2-14)
    • 2012 Indianapolis Colts (*11-5) QB Andrew Luck

    Dolphins
    • 2007 Miami Dolphins (1-15)
    • 2008 Miami Dolphins (*11-5) LT Jake Long

  45. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    @DCBUCFAN

Whats good brotha? Hope all is well

    I’ll hit you up.

  46. Lion Says:

So who gets the boot when Tim Jennings is added to the roster? Why carry 53 when one of those spots are already occupied by a pending player.

  47. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

Jason Williams may not be there long. Wonder who gets cut when Jennings is official?

Cause that’s 53 right now. Or did the NFL roster get increased to 54 without me hearing about it?

  48. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

DCBUCFAN, never give your email like that. It allows people to figure out who you really are, right down to home address.

For example, been to Buffalo, NY lately?

  49. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    @Lovie 2.0

They added George Johnson and several others to the defensive line. We haven’t get much exposure to him since signing him. When he was here the first time I wanted to keep him. Maybe he’s improved enough now to be a legit starter.

On offensive line, you have Marpet and Smith added.

So…I think you are wrong, no offense.

The RBs are exactly the same, but other areas are changed as well. Two new WRs, for example. Two new LBs. New Kicker. New Punter. New returner assuming Hall is doing it (though I think he is solid at it, he’ll never score at that position).

And, of course…a new player at QB as well.

Actually…if you look closely…nearly half the starters have been replaced. Thank God.

  50. James Walker Says:

    Oh no….we suck again.

  51. BlogTalkFootball Says:

    Just throwing this out there…

    Offensive line by committee.
Rotate guys every snap and really mess with the opposing defenses. And the Bucs Fans.

Guarantee we would screw up the defensive planners out there.

  52. BlogTalkFootball Says:

^^^ and in the end we’d end up with a top 5 draft pick next year.

  53. JAB83 Says:

Not seeing it mentioned ever but y’all do know the TE’s and running backs block on the line also right?!?! That being the case we have a couple stout TE’s and RB’s along with a FB that all block well… The biggest issue outside of OL is???????????? Yeah we are good folks… Just need some time to prove it…

All you fake Bucks fans/haters need to go back to hating your own reflection cause really your opinions are being ignored to the point your almost as irrelevant here as you are in your personal lives…

Sorry just felt like making the misrubl feel more stupid than they already feel inwardly… Hopefully this helps them to see the problem with themselves and allows them to fix it?!?!?!

Believe it or not, there is power in the thoughts and words we use… You can be critical in a positive way… If you want to do well and have this team do well…. Speak life into them not death!!!!

  54. DCBUCFAN Says:

@BuccaneerBonzai, thanks for the advice! I really didn’t think on it but you re right!
Cheers to all the real Bucs fans to a
    fun season for a change!
