Yes, Lovie Smith is your new Buccaneers defensive playcaller. Joe’s written plenty about it over the past couple of days.

Will it make a difference? Joe asked Lavonte David today.

I agree with David. It’s not a big deal. The players gotta do their jobs. The play calling and who does it, means nothing. The players just need to execute whatever’s called.

lol you have a habit of erasing my messages Joe.

    LVD and KWON
GMC up front and the DT rotation.
Add a DE and they have the makings of a dominant D for years.

Not sure if anyone has caught on to this but most of the team refers to the coaches as Coach (Insert Last Name Here) versus first names aka Coach Smith versus Lovie. This is a sign of respect and ultimately a sign of structure and leadership. In past regimes like Raheem this has not been the case where as on other teams like Green Bay, Giants, Pats, etc that have winning cultures this is the same case. If you are or are not a fan of Coach Smith this at least shows his ability as a leader. Structure, preparation and self-leadership as a team is what makes a winning environment. The organization has done a great job of creating that, now the players have to have the talent and the will to win in order to take the next step. #siegetheday #bucsforlife

I’m willing to bet that there will be some suprises on this team, when the final roster is set.

I would love that! Can we just get a guy with 10 sacks in one season, is that too much to ask for? I really hope we get a 10 sack player this year, so we don’t go 10 years without one. 🙁

Which coach are you talking about? Preparation? Let me know when that starts happening.

I really dont have any faith in Lovie as a game manager type coach, not after last season. Some huge mistakes were made and Lovie had his hands all over it.
Im really hoping to see Winston develope, Evans continue to tear it up, the run game figure out how to run, and the defense come together as a unit. If we take a few small steps toward greatness this season and Lovie figures out how to not fall on his own sword, then I will allow myself to get jacked about 2016.

Aldon Smith still out there FA?
