Rookie Blues For Jameis Winston

August 29th, 2015

JameismugAmerica’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, sure looked like the 21-year-old rookie he is tonight.

Man, that was sobering.

Foolish throws. Check.

Holding ball too long. Check.

Out of sync. Check.

Jameis finished 6-of-15 for 90 yards and one interception.

He was flat, much like his teammates. As Joe’s written previously, this really isn’t surprising. It’s just downright depressing.

Somewhere, Titans defensive coordinator wizard Dick LeBeau is drooling.

Stick with Joe for much more from the Bucs’ locker room after the game.

All teams have to do is blitz every play and send their tight ends up the middle and the got our number

Dick LeBeau may be drooling no matter what he is thinking about; a lot of people his age are in assisted living units… And yes the Bucs looked bad but why does everyone seem to think that Mariota is going to be perfect vs the Bucs? Come on, the Titans were 2-14 last year too and tanked a lot less than Lovie did to get there. Bad night tonight for Winston and the O as well as defense, and special teams (O’Dea still coaches the ST?) but remember it was a short week for the Bucs, the Browns had a few more days to prepare and it showed… But it always seems the sky is falling with Buc fans, it was a preseason loss, a bad one yes, but it did not count. Hopefully the Bucs can simply win and get this monkey off their back about the home winless streak against the Titans. It was ugly tonight but at least it did not count and remember again that it was a short week!

What happen to NFL ready and plug and play quarterback???????????????????????

FortMyersDave….I’m making excuse number one. From a Monday nighter to a Saturday nighter has got be tiring. I even said that to myself before the game. Not much prep time either.

  5. Randy Says:

They played only one quarter and half on Monday Night not a valid excuse.

  6. BucFan20 Says:

Any old excuse will do. They can’t put points on the board without ST or the Defense.

  7. FortMyersDave Says:

Buc1987, the short week had to be a factor, simply 2 days less prep time and recovery time and the Browns knew that and took advantage…. Winston was also missing his #1 target in Mike Evans, I do not see many of the naysayers mentioning any of these facts while they rip away on the Bucs’ performance. It was ugly, but it was preseason I think us Buc fans really have to remember that!

As to the Dick LeBeau drooling comments I have to point out that there is going to be deep puddle of spittle at kickoff then.

Yeah LeBeau would rather face a rookie than Drew Brees but what about Lovie.
He’s got the same drool running down his face.

    From the Tennessee paper’s perspective…

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After three preseason games, Marcus Mariota is still in search of his first touchdown.

The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback and second overall draft pick didn’t complete his first pass until the second quarter of the Titans’ 34-10 loss to the Chiefs on Friday night at Arrowhead Stadium, as Tennessee’s starters, playing on a short week, were dominated by Kansas City.

Funny isn’t it. Try replacing Mariota’s name with Fameis and Tennessee with Tampa Bay and the story is EXACTLY the same!!!

Plenty of drool to go around.

  9. Wesley Says:

Should have picked Mariota, we are destined to never have a franchise qb.

I would like to respectfully point out that ME13 may be our #1 target, but has yet to catch a single pass from Jameis Winston in a game, even though it’s preseason.

Sobering my ass, I’m getting drunker than hell right now after watching that crap tonight! Did the players not know they actually had a game tonight or what? The whole game they looked like they were sleepwalking! Really “nice” to see that most of Cleveland South showed up tonight as well, I hope the dog barker I “accidently” spilled beer on remembers his experience in particular. Only in Tampa…

  12. Bird Says:

How dare you joe. This is blasphemy. Don’t you dare say anything bad about Jameis. Remember , he is playing bad on purpose. Joejameisfan.com

    Do Wizards get fired?

I’d be more worried about mariotta having all day to run and throw against this soft d

  14. BigBalls Magoo Says:

    Guys, we should’ve drafted Marcus.
He really is the best QB in this rookie class.
Winston is a disgrace to this organization.

  15. Frees Snake Says:

Winston said this was the plan! He said they didn’t want to give away top secrets! Him and Lovie are either geniuses or more stupid than we think!
