No Football Clichés For Jameis

America’s Quarterback listens to a question at his weekly presser today.

Joe gets why coaches always use the same tired phrase “game-by-game.” They claim they are lockstep in razor focus for only the next opponent and try to feign ignorance of the future schedule.

America’s Quarterback, Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston, punctured that balloon today.

Lovie likes to talk about being [insert name of opponent]-ready. For example, Lovie noted today the Bucs are not quite “Tennessee-ready.” Part of that, Lovie wants people to believe, is the Bucs are actually concerned with the meaningless game in Miami in a few days.

Jameis blew that concept up.

Joe asked Jameis if, given the Titans have have long-time NFL defensive guru Dick LeBeau and his myriad of tricky blitzes to open the regular season, he has been sneaking peaks at Steelers (where LeBeau was previously employed) or Titans tape. Jameis came clean.

“As with the other [Bucs] quarterbacks, we’ve been studying Tennessee for quite a [while], going back to OTAs,” Jameis said.

Jameis, at the end of his answer, probably feared some sort of backlash and ‘fessed up that the team will “focus” on Miami, but the answer was clear.

The Bucs are not and have not been waiting for the end of the Miami game to break down Tennessee tape.

After all, the regular season means something. Means a lot, in fact.

The best thing about Jamies is his study habits. This is the best quarterback we ever had. So glad we picked him over Mariotta. Go Bucs!

If they have been studying Tenn since training camp….they must have either not showed or forgotten all they learned against a similar defense Saturday.

I’m hoping they held a lot back and are much more capable than they played.

We need to use the short passing game mixed with some running….sustain some drives & hope for a strong defense.

Trade the players you can that can fetch you high draft picks i.e. martin, glennon, eds, dotson who wants more money anyway, etc. If they go to other teams and beast out for a year or two good for them. They’re not cutting it in Tampa why keep these “not pro-bowlers but not bad either” players when you can swindle other teams for picks and players to help you later.

You’re on the come up be patient and make it do what it do.

I have a pretty good feeling Old Man Dick will leave Tampa with an L.

Oh, run sims/rainey/james all day long and protect Jamies this season while building toughness in your o-line. Baby steps people, baby steps

I think with the Monday night game the owners wanted to unleash a glimpse of the future for the sake of the fans and future ticket $ale$. Specially knowing the Titans are also watching us play with Jameis as our new QB. The Cleveland game was supposed to be as vanilla as possible.

I enjoyed very much the Monday night game but I rather see them have games they can learn from in the preseason. The Cleveland game will teach Jameis and the offensive team much more new things than the Cincinnati game.

Remember preseason is about player evaluation. All is right on track.

Licht keep those linemen coming to Tampa,

I hope Miami doesn’t cut Freeman yet just so we can see those “deer in the headlights” eyes one last time…

Keep telling yourself that, but your wrong.

Im sure they didnt want to show to much against the Browns as what they will use against the Titans. Though there wasnt to many good things about the offense or defense in that game.

It would be incompetent if they didn’t look ahead ALWAYS… Oops not trying to steal anyone’s line… But here is a little inside info for anywouldbe stradagist… And IMO is a staple for ALL successful teams in any sport but primarily football as it involves a great deal of stradagy… If you can plan for a moment or game with the future or game in mind… You can determine an outcome by simply providing information… Those who control the information flow can determine the outcome more easily… Make since… Good now take this to the bank… This team is solidly somewhere between the last two games… The Vikings game can be factored but not as evenly given they had an extra week and game of practice… This last game is for determining depth… 3 GAM preason minus one regular season game and plus one playoff game is what’s needed… And I bet is what will eventually happen… Remember you heard it here first… Jesus Love You
