Kwon Alexander Highlights

May 2nd, 2015

kwon alexander

This Kwon Alexander, the new Bucs fourth-round linebacker, probably will be a special teams ace.

Some NFL analysts compare him to Dakoda Watson (remember him?). Alexander was a good tackler, that is for sure, But in the NFL, one needs more than just being a good tackler to succeed. Cody Grimm was a good tackler, too.

looks like the prototypical bucs LB, undersized but quick. Probably nothing more than a special teams player and that’s ok.

  2. BucGator Says:

Not the best tape but wish him luck! Welcome to the Buc family!

Gooch and Quarles started like this……here’s hoping…..

  4. BucinNC Says:

Looks terrible in those highlights. Sorry. Late reactions looks lost. Not too excited. Gotta get that special teams depth though

  5. FortMyersDave Says:

Bucs gave up the first pick of round 7 to get this guy. I guess that is irrelevant but I wonder who they thought was gonna nab the LSU kid before them; B’more, dallas, San Fran?

  6. lurker Says:

so why does the video highlight #4, but the pic shows #25?

  7. Harry Says:

Not exactly a highlight tape, as he misses some tackles. But the kid has a nonstop motor

  8. Lovethepewter Says:

Walter football graded it an A- pick

  9. JoeJoes Fungi Nails Says:

I could find him on any list of best available beginning of day 3

the video was of just one game. i meant highlight, as in separated, he was outlined in yellow.

I don’t like how much he leaves his feet when tackling and he gets blocked very easily. Looks like a special teams player to me.

I don’t know…. I have been very happy with the Bucs first 3 selections…..but if this is supposed to be “good” on Alexander…… all I can say is he must be a helluva special teams player. On this tape, he is not at all impressive…… looks lost on almost every play… but who knows…. hoping he will work out….

Grim wasn’t a good tackler, he was a great tackler and incredible instincts. Had he not have suffered 2 leg injuries, he would still be playing special teams.

  14. Kevin Says:

Looks to me like he kinda gets soft going head to head with guys. Kinda wraps em up and lets they’re body get past his and tries to bring them down. Scary all the yards after contact big backs will get off of him. Yes must be a hell of a special teamer but not sure based on this…

  15. Bill Says:

He does look indecisive on many of those plays, consider they are playing MSU and Prescott. I’m sure they were focused on not over-pursuing given the opponent. He does look to have good speed and agility for our scheme. I wish there were more plays of his pass coverage.

  16. drt Says:

    That’s it?

Agreed Passthebucs. Probably would be our starting strong safety. One of those
leg injuries was caused by Aquib Talib after I believe Grimm INT’d a pass against the Ravens. Snapped his leg in two. Talib was a Flying Dutchman for this team.
Glad to see the moron move from the Patriots to the Broncos so he didn’t get his SB ring.
