January 6th, 2015

  1. Gooberville Says:

Heated ? It was the normal Big Dog putting the Joes in their place. Listening to the Big Dog reference the Bucs getting Mariota more than once I never heard either of you put in your love and support for Winston. It seemed normal with the Joe’s balled up in a fetal position and The Big Dog holding court. And speaking of Winston why would you want a wuss that is clearly waiting to see if Mariota declares for the draft so he can either declare himself if Mariota stays in school or if Mariota chooses the NFL, Winston will stay in school cause even he knows he wont go number 1.

Don’t be ridiculous. The audio is right here. Second, Joe has no problem with Mariota, though he’s not Joe’s first choice. Third, today’s show wasn’t about the draft at all. Let these guys declare for the draft first. –Joe

  2. SAMCRO Says:

    Offensive Coordinator – Marc Trestman

    Quarterback Coach
& asst. Offensive Coordinator – Scott Frost

    #1 pick QB Marcus Mariota

McCown retires, offered coaching or consultant position, and remains viable emergency QB. 🙂

Glennon and Mariota battle it out in camp to see who wears #8

  3. Cascade Says:

Arguing for Scott Frost is idiotic. What makes anyone think Lovie wants to run a spread offense like Oregon? It’s not happening. Second, how dumb does someone have to be to suggest that Helfrich would want to go from a HC position at Oregon to an OC in the NFL. What is Doomig smoking?

  4. RastaMon Says:

The verbal Joe is actual much more reasonable than the written Joe…

  5. Gus Says:

@SAMCRO I can’t put into words how happy that would make me. And all of it is a good possibility

  6. Gus Says:

“Drew Brees cost the Saints more games than Josh McCown did”……..KILL YOURSELF YOUR WRONG
    Lol

  7. Todd Says:

I’d take drew brees any day over mccown

  8. Todd Says:

If lovie wants mariota he has to run at least some what of a spread offense till he adapts to a pro style so scott frost is not a bad idea

  9. zombieBuc Says:

I would much rather have Greg Roman over Marc Trestman for OC, he is innovative enough to have an Offense to make Maritoa a successful starter.

1st Pick NEEDS to be a QB any thing regarding trade talk is insane. You can talk about the offensive line and other holes all you would like. Our biggest deficiency is at QB. we have already established we will be active in free agency, thats where you address O-line.

  10. nate Says:

My cousin is friend with lovies son says lovie wants cutler and to draft olineman first overall…..

  11. Spartin Says:

My uncles aunts nephews 2nd cousin is friends with the grounds keepers 3rd cousin and I heard that Jon Gruden told Lovie to draft that kid from Tulsa. Woowee, he can really punt the ball. Seriously, Joe beat the drum for Manziel and we see how that turned out to this point. Send the pick to Philly, stock up on picks for this season and next. Address the O-line this season, because it doesnt matter who plays QB, if your line plays like dookie, your QB will also play like dookie.

  12. P'cola Buc Says:

You need both a QB (the best you can get) AND an oline. The problem is teams can wait forever to be so close to a number one draft pick in order to get that higher ranking QB. A quality OT is more likely to be available in the second and third rounds. I feel since you need both QB and oline take the higher ranked QB when you have the chance now. Who knows if and when you’ll have the opportunity again in the near future.

  13. Rob Says:

I’d actually be okay with Mccown being hired as a quarterbacks coach…

[…] As Joe stated with his good friend, “The Big Dog,” Steve Duemig of WDAE-AM 620 yesterday, Joe isn’t buying the rhetoric from One Buc Palace, claiming Evan Dietrich-Smith is entrenched for next year and Logan Mankins is too valuable with his professionalism to wave good-bye. It’s pretty much a given, thought, that Anthony Collins is a goner. […]
