“Heavy On My Mind”

March 6th, 2014

jared allen

Great audio below of Buccaneers free-agent-to-be defensive end Jared Allen on SiriusXM NFL Radio this morning.

Allen says his family’s happiness in his next city is “heavy on my mind.” He loved his previous communities of Kansas City and Minneapolis during his first two NFL stops. It sure sounds to Joe like Allen and his wife would be down on a big-city, less-family-friendly town. Having spent time in Kansas City and Minneapolis-St. Paul, Joe can say that Tampa is similar in many ways.

Allen didn’t hide his uneasiness about joining the Raiders, citing their woes in general, and specifically at quarterback and running back. Enjoy via the orange button below.

    C’mon down Jared Allen .
GLAZE BOYS WILL SEND YOU THE JET
Pablo is waiting for you to do your sack celebration at the stadium on Dale Mabry

    Agree Pablo.

Allen would be just what the doctor ordered. His presence alone would inspire the younger dudes to out work him. Allen has had multiple double digit sack seasons and a proven team captain. would be a for the younger players. Allen’s wealth of information is levels above M.Bennett. Imagine what he can offer during the game and plus his mentoring inside and out the locker room. Allen is a leader just by example. Can the same be said about Bennett? Does he possess that locker room presence? It’s Allen hands down. The guy who can teach as well as give us that dominant pass rush when needed. Allen is light years ahead of Bennett at this point. Period!

Joe – FYI: I got 6 back to back pop ups to “play addictive mobile games”, and 2 automatic redirects from the site today. Just letting you know.

Yes, there are issues occasionally for some smartphone readers. Nothing Joe can do about it now. –Joe

This dude should have been a Buc a loooong time ago. I wanted him more than Favre.

  6. Leon Says:

He should be our top target!

Happens on my tablet all the time too. Almost to the point where I don’t even want to come to the site on a mobile device.

The redirect has happened on my laptop a couple times as well.

Hopefully when the App comes out that will no longer be a problem 😀

I have noticed it happens a lot less than it used to happen when I’m on my iphone though.

I spoke to Jarred and his wife a couple of weeks ago in Hawaii at his golf fundraiser about coming to the Bucs. His wife was all for a move back to Florida. He was more like wanting to see what happens in free agency.

I hope we get him, he is such a great guy!
