“Best Job They’ve Done In A While”

November 3rd, 2013

Joe can’t help but ask himself, ‘Where was this kind of offensive line play all season?”

The Bucs’ O-line was only a step below dominant today in Seattle, against a damn good front seven.

There were few negative runs, and rookie Mike James cranked out 28 carries for 158 yards — 5.6 yards per carry!

Did Jamon Meredith starting his first game at left guard make all the difference? No. But one must wonder where the Bucs might be if Meredith had always been the backup all season, rather than Gabe Carimi, Ted Larsen and Jeremy Zuttah filling in there for Carl Nicks.

Davin Joseph played his best game of the year, and the Bucs looked like a unit that couldn’t be stopped. Did anyone get past Donald Penn? Many times the Seahawks knew what was coming but were still outwilled by the O-line. Brian Leonard even cranked out 20 yards (four yards per carry. )

After the game, Greg Schiano said the O-line did the “best job they’ve done in a while.” Joe agrees.

The sad thing is Schiano didn’t give the O-line a chance to close out the game on the ground. The Bucs abandoned their strength at crunch time. Always a bad move.

24 should have been enough….the D let us down today…

It all came down to adjustments. The Seahawks made theirs, the Bucs did not

Joe i watched the presser after the game do you agree that Schiano just looked and sounded like a defeated coach who doesn’t know what to do next? He looked so down in the dumps it looks like he may even be quitting on himself

I think Sheridan gets the ax.

Btw Meredith played well last year in Joseph’s absence. Don’t know why he wasn’t the choice over carimi. Oh wait I do. It was supposedly Doms big steal from Chicago.

    Who wouldn’t at this point?

Joe can think of only two coaches who have a prayer of surviving. Bob Bostad and Bryan Cox.

I couldn’t watch the game, but must ask what has been my O-line theme since April: was there more zone-blocking?

It was clear Meredith made the diffrence dummies. He did awesome last year on the right side why wasnt he the first choice anyway. COACHING! We keep scrubs who camt start on others teams why? COaching!

The diffrence from last years is we had to keep Larsen in the line up. With his bad snapping on 2 consectutive 3rd downs. Davin is back! I think this group give us the best chance to win.

Creamy is soft shake dude now! Jace has more heart. If Nicks comeback ever then all we need is a couple rookies to develop our line could still do great things.

If Joe drop the filter I could post all the time but its hard getting to the fricking site. So Stfu dumptrucks
