Josh Freeman Issues Statement

September 30th, 2013

Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman issued a statement concerning news this evening of his entering the Stage 1 NFL drug program.

(Tip o’ hat to ProFootballTalk.com)

“Let me be very clear. I have NEVER tested positive for any illegal drugs or related substances. Further, I have agreed to take, and have PASSED 46 NFL-regulated drug tests over the last year and a half.

“Since the confidentiality of my medical status has been publicly violated, I am choosing to address this matter so that grossly erroneous assumptions about me do not persist. Like millions of Americans, I have ADHD and I have been prescribed and permitted to take medication to treat this condition for the entirety of my NFL career. Well over a year ago, I took a different medication for the same condition (Ritalin rather than Adderall) , and to assure everyone that the error was a one-time mistake, I agreed to be voluntarily tested in the “NFL Program”. Since that time, I have taken and passed all 46 drug tests I’ve been given, which test for every drug and banned substance imaginable. I agreed to allow such testing to be done at my workplace (team facility) because I spend all of my time there and I have nothing whatsoever to hide or be embarrassed about.

“Unfortunately, it appears that some people who may have noticed the testing at my workplace have made hurtful and incorrect assumptions and chosen to disseminate inaccurate and very disturbing information. It is a shame that when times have gotten tough, people have chosen to attack the character of others, rather than supporting each other. I remain dedicated and focused to being the best quarterback I can be and to help a team win a championship.”

  1. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Shots fired Mr. Schiano. Your play.

  2. snookau Says:

How do mistakenly take Ritalin instead of Adderall if you’re prescribed Adderall?

Josh is a pill head. End of story.

  3. bucrightoff Says:

Neither Freeman nor Schiano is in the NFL within 3 years. Well maybe Freeman, David Carr has found a way to be a backup for about 10 years, Josh probably can too.

  4. John23 Says:

    Well said josh GL

  5. Warthog Says:

These ridiculous leaks about Freeman had to have come from Schiano, Dominik or someone close to them. What a joke. The Bucs are being run by clowns.

Incidentally, I agree Freeman should have been benched for poor play. He flat sucked. Fair enough.

But he didn’t deserve to get his reputation smeared by suit-wearing scumbags.

  6. JKelz Says:

I feel so bad for Freeman. No human being deserves this and I’m slowly starting to hate this Buccaneer regime. It’s time for a change at One Buc and I hope it comes soon.

  7. snookau Says:

Adderall is easily abused. Who cares if he has a prescription?

At least we know who Talib and Wrights source was.

  8. Joe Says:

How do mistakenly take Ritalin instead of Adderall if you’re prescribed Adderall?

    Hhhmmm…

  9. Dave Says:

It all seems on the up and up but to have a so-called franchise QB needing mess because of ADHD, not a good thing.

Give me an excessive/compulsive at QB instead

  10. JBo$$ Says:

    FIRE SCHIANO!!

  11. snookau Says:

This statement proves nothing to me other than Freeman is a pill head and tested positive for Ritalin… which technically isnt an illegal substance. Probably snorted it.

Get help, Josh. It’ll improve your play on the field.

  12. Gabriel Vargas Says:

He could have been prescribed ritalin the first time he seeked medication. Not knowing that it was not allowed.

  13. snookau Says:

What a horrible statement to issue. Did anyone proof read this?

  14. Warthog Says:

    Obsessive-compulsive QB?

Gotta pat that ball 53 times – no more, no less – before making each throw.

  15. bucrightoff Says:

Most embarrassing franchise in sports. At least we’re winning something?

  16. snookau Says:

    Gabriel:

Ritalin is allowed if you have a prescription. Just like Adderall.

He’s a pill head. Face it.

  17. Raphael Says:

What a bunch of. Classless morons here …..you included Joe !

  18. kh Says:

Doesn’t really pass the smell test for me either, anyone who has ADHD can tell the difference between ritalin and adderall.

Cocaine, or even adderall and ritalin, would pass through an athlete’s system in 24 hours +/-. Get tested twice a month, there’s huge windows of time to party.

  19. snookau Says:

Freepologists blamed everyone else for Freemans poor performance on the field.

Now they blame everyone else for Freeman being a pill head.

    Classic.

  20. Gabriel Vargas Says:

Man WE don’t know anything. Just stop calling someone a pillhead when you don’t know anything. That is just rude.

  21. kh Says:

Ignorance is not an excuse, the NFL’s drug policy is beaten into the players heads ad-nauseam.

  22. Piratic Says:

After listening to this guy “umm…”, “uhh…” and “well…” his way through five seasons of interviews, the idea that he didn’t author ONE WORD of this statement comes as little surprise.

Seriously, try to picture him saying those words.

  23. Captain Buc Says:

Wow 46 times. If that could have just been the number of completions in a game and not the number of drug test before a game. This conversation would be very different.

  24. Eric Says:

People need to step back from this thing. Accusations of pill popping and Schiano revealing this are unproven.

  25. Harry Says:

    Good for you Josh.

You people are messed up. ADHD is so common it is like getting a cold. This does not make him a pill head, or anything else.

Further, why would the Bucs leak this info when it would kill the chance of trading Free away for anything of value – especially the way it was done, like he is a pill head. The only exception to this might be Shiano who is trying to save his job and does not care if he gets a 6th/7th round pick for Josh…

  26. BigMacAttack Says:

Josh said “help a team” keyword being “a” when a team player would have said “this team” because Josh has been his own worst enemy. He could still be the starting QB here but he chose a different path based on his own actions and lack of commitment. If Josh is not commited to the Bucs then why should they commit to him. Josh needs to grow up and realize the World doesn’t owe him anything.

Should Schiano be fired? He’ll yes but Josh has to learn to work through that. It is sad to see someone fall so far so fast.

  27. Smitty Says:

Well, I came in here hoping to see some folks at least a LITTLE regretful over calling Freeman an ‘addict’ and a ‘pillhead’.

    *Crickets chirping*

  28. BucfaninMi Says:

Maybe he changed prescriptions and it didnt work. Everyone who called him an addict and a POS ought to be ashamed of themselves, fact is none of us know!! It’s ridiculous. I wonder if some of you love misery, love to be haters!! Go be a fan of some other team!!

  29. Capt. Tim Says:

You guys are a bunch of classless, clueless di*ks.

The only one who tops you, is the classless loser that keeps telling you that one player is why we are 1-10 in our last games.

You deserve to spend another 4 years watching a rebuilding team

  30. bucrightoff Says:

ADHD is as common as a cold? Ummm, huh? I mean look you can go crazy in either your persecution or defense of Freeman, just don’t say stupid things like that.

  31. Being Ickles Says:

    why 46 drug tests?

  32. Smitty Says:

I agree, Eric. This is a shameful display, and the name callers and judgers should (but won’t) be ashamed.

I work in the field of substance abuse treatment…You know what NEVER helps?

Shame, humiliation, and half educated judgement.

  33. kh Says:

The NFL policy does not disclose which drug was tested positive for. Do you really think that Talib, E.Wright and now Josh were all just trying to focus a little bit more? ADHD is a convenient and innocuous excuse, we pump our children full of it afterall.

  34. Gabriel Vargas Says:

Being ickles. 46 i assume is to make sure he is not abusing the drugs. Im sure he has a set dosage sot hey want to make sure he does not go above that. If schiano had anything to do with this leak. HE HAS TO GO.

  35. snookau Says:

Pill head or not, I dont want a QB with attention deficit disorder.

Doubt Brees or Brady have that.

  36. kh Says:

Harry no offense I just think you’re being naive. Does ritalin/adderall jive at all with the stories about his offseason behavior and bizarre radio interview where he couldn’t string a sentence together? Not to me.

  37. Nick2 Says:

Sounds like Josh is now going to positioin it that someone in the Bucs organization leaked this info but all that would do is lessen his trade value. My thought was did the Bucs do due diligence when they drafted him in the first round knowing that he was going to play the most mentally taskng position on the field with ADHD? If he had that it would hurt his ability to focus on more than one task at a time (no wonder why he locks in on one receiver etc.)
    Wow

  38. Pewter and Red Says:

    __________________________________________________________

you’re a piece of sh!t. I would expect that comment from a fkn redkneck neanderthal but to see you stoop so low.

  39. snookau Says:

Pill head or not, I’ll pass on having a QB with attention deficit disorder.

    Ugh.

  40. BUCSLEGENDS Says:

Some of you should forget that he’s a QB for a minute…, think of him as a human being and STFU !!!!!!!!!!!

  41. Bucfan4life7 Says:

I’m just so glad it is nothing serious. I like Josh Freeman but I can’t wait for him to go to another team because no one deserves the type of treatment he is getting from this team. Josh is being treated so bad I would say it is worse than Tebow when he was in Denver.

  42. snookau Says:

    Pewter & red:

Its a legitimate question. Even Josh calls it an error and a mistake. How did he get his hands on it?

Plus, Ritalin is heavily abused in this country.

  43. kh Says:

And for that matter, I say speculate all you want, Josh is a big part of this story blowing up to what it is and our season turning into a catastrophe.

This will be the tip of the iceberg with his story too, I bet local reporters will actually start digging/reporting on the rumors that have been swirling since the end of Rah’s tenure.

  44. Nick2 Says:

I agree with the others the radio interview I heard was not ritalin alone and definitely does not explain his bizarre missing of important events. Something else is up here I hope he gets help but I also hope if any drug addiction is true he someday apologizes to the tampa fans. This is getting more bizarre by the moment, how much of this Peyton Place can the Glazers take?

  45. Paul Says:

That’s a terrible ailment for a NFL QB to have.

  46. Pewter and Red Says:

^^^FU ahole don’t talk to me you f’n redkneck

  47. bucrightoff Says:

Once the truth comes out either Freeman or Schiano are finished. Considering Freeman has a lot, lot more to lose (he’s already lost tens of millions), I’d like to hope he’s not being reckless here. But, if he is on something, being reckless makes sense.

  48. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    Eric Says
“People need to step back from this thing. Accusations of pill popping and Schiano revealing this are unproven.”

I agree. In fact, common sense contradicts such claims.

Office and coaching staff would know the real reason he was in the program. They would not even mention it for fear it would hurt trade value.

And if Freeman was a pill popper he would not have passed 46 tests.

My wife takes about 18 pills per day for Epilepsy. When he drug levels are either too high or too low, which can happen with simple changes in weight, she begins acting strangelyand has seizures.

It could be that unbalanced levels or immunities built over time are the cause of Josh’s past issues.

Either way, some of these commenters are waaay out of line. And so was ESPN.

  49. RCS Says:

I have NEVER heard of someone needing a level 1 rehab for ADHD, if someone is ADHD there is no cure for that. it is a condition not a disease like most things that need rehab.
and someone who could be in ties with the program could have leaked his participation in the program not someone with the Bucs

  50. snookau Says:

Figures Raheem and Dom would draft a QB with ADHD.

    Makes sense now.

  51. kh Says:

I mean clearly he got the adderall from either Aqib Talib or Eric Wright. They just needed it to study tape.

  52. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

I tend to think a player is the source with the team, and Mort has a limited source within the program.

  53. snookau Says:

Rcs: he’s not in rehab. Just in the nfls drug program because he tested positive for Ritalin.

  54. Nick2 Says:

Ok wait I want to make a correction, my gf has ADHD and one thiing that I can definitely say is one of the worst symptoms she exhibits as a result is a complete lack of keeping track of time. She is constantly late and hours to her can seem like minutes. She misses appointments and important deadlines consistenly. I suppose that might be a cause for missed meetings who knows there was definitely something more wrong on that radio interview.

  55. Smitty Says:

Some of you have as much business posting about this as you do critiquing NFL coaching decisions. RCS: Where does it say ‘REHAB’ anywhere in the statement?

  56. BigMacAttack Says:

Raheem was the King of ADHD. Why would he care if Josh had it. He was Rah’s guy no matter what his resume said. I do t fault Josh for anything related to drugs, but missing meetings and whining to BSPN, thinking of himself before his team is childish. I don’t care what Schiano did, Josh has been paid Millions to be a professional and he is anything but a pro. He acts like a spoiled little kid. I’m going to take my ball and go home to my mommie.

Dude you are so rich making so much, be a man and feel lucky.

  57. kh Says:

Bonzai – I know of people who were on parole for 5-10 years and smoked pot every day and never failed a drug test. Even with jail on the line there are ways around tests.

East German and Chinese swimmers never fail drug tests yet their women look like men.

There’s being sensitive and then there is just being naive.

You are wrong on timing also, most illicit substances (besides pot) get out of your system in a few days. They get out of athletes systems the fastest since they work out all the time. After an NFL player gets tested (which I suspect they find ways of knowing when the tests will be, see Von Miller) they have a week to partake in whatever they want.

The ones that get caught are just the ones that got sloppy.

  58. snookau Says:

So I predict Josh gets cut tomorrow now that his trade value went from zero to negative 100.

Oh well. Hopefully this is the end.

  59. Bucs1987 Says:

Pewter and Red…why are you taking all this so personal? Because people don’t agree with you?

  60. kenny_c Says:

so you checked into a substance abuse program for accidentally taking a pill? lol come on man….I actually felt sorry form freeman when i first heard about his substance abuse prob, now I could give F@#k. Still cant take responsibility for his actions. I don’t want to hear about this ADHD, if he truly had ADHD he could not be a NFL quarterback, no possible way he could even learn half a play book if he was truly diagnosed with that disorder. Just another BS excuse.

  61. Harry Says:

@bucrightoff: before you assess my comment as “stupid”, don’t you think there are others in here that deserve that criticism?

@kh: Maybe I did not articulate my thoughts completely. No, I don’t think I am being naive. Josh definitely contributed to all that is going on. Do I think that he is ADHD – I have no idea, that is his business. Do I think he was the Bucs future at QB before Glennon got promoted – NO. I called for the switch before that (for Glennon to start after the break). Josh is never going to be a franchise QB, he is not mentally tough enough. But at the same time he does not deserve this kind of ridicule.

  62. Bucs1987 Says:

“So I predict Josh gets cut tomorrow now that his trade value went from zero to negative 100.”

snookau ….yup I 2nd that. I really just want him gone out of the area and out of the picture.

I saw 3 different fans with #5 jersey’s on at the game yesterday that had the word man ducked taped over his name. The first one I laughed at and thought to myself how creative. Then I saw 2 more people that did the same thing. Then I thought well not that creative anymore.

  63. Captain Buc Says:

Schiano is the root of all evil. I think he eats babies and gave Miley Cyrus her hair cut, he also beats puppy’s with kitty’s.
If you believe any of that then you also believe Josh is drug free.

  64. Smitty Says:

Listen to yourselves, for a minute:

You are assigning moral failings (with too little information about the facts) to an ATHLETE and young person…Who plays a GAME to entertain you.

FFS, I love the Bucs, I love football…But some of you need to take a walk and think about your priorities. Running down a kid who is having issues…Over a GAME you watch on Sundays. WTF?

  65. DomsAdvisor Says:

    Kind of sad really.

I want to cry like his picture shows.

  66. Pewter and Red Says:

This fkn site is garbage. The so called fans are a bunch of rabid inbred rednecks.

God, I wish there was a way to get everyone of you are trashing Josh on a personal level addresses. Because when he lands on his feet somewhere else and does well I want to be the first at your door to call you out. We all know you’ll change your screen names because you pu$$ys wouldn’t have the cojones to admit you were fkn wrong. What a bunch of scumbags. Oh and the ones who have been the most hateful may someone you dearly love die in a horrendous accident. I’m out

  67. Cmurda Says:

None of that crap matters. He was a crap Qb. That’s the bottom line. He shot his load quick like a 15 year old and was never able to perform again. I don’t care what his issues are or aren’t. However, the Adderall doesn’t explain his lack of understanding a defense. Maybe its time to switch back to the Ritalin?

  68. Oil Derrick Brooks Says:

There’s some bunched panties up in here.

  69. Bucs1987 Says:

An athlete that does drugs? No way! Who would of thunk it?

  70. DomsAdvisor Says:

There’s 6.5 million at stake here peoples.

Josh answered that. His doctor prescribed it. Doctors have this bad habit of trying several things until they find something that works. Josh was approved by nfl for one. Not for the other. The NFL understood the confusion though…which is why there was no penalty.

  72. K_bassuka Says:

Blame Schiano sorry @ss, gee I can’t wait until we get rid of him…

  73. Bucs1987 Says:

  74. Bobby Says:

Why would the Bucs leak this?? Makes no sense.

  75. Horice Says:

Joe I know that your site is open for comments, but these response for the most part are just ignorant! I have read comments in the past that show very little football knowledge, but these comments top the ALL TIME WORST! Joe you should charge money to comment so you could weed out the trash that has commented here. $1.00 per word

  76. kh Says:

Uh, what planet do you live on? Josh isnt a kid, he’s the face of a hundred million dollar business, get real if you think its a game like hide-and-seek.

Thousands of people in Tampa have shelled out thousands of dollars to watch him work for his employer and he effectively gave them all the bird with his behavior. People have every right to be pissed at him.

If he didnt want to get run down he should have kept his mouth shut.

I have zero sympathy for him whatsoever, those expressing sympathy and portraying him as the victim are pawns in a PR game his agent is playing.

  77. RichBucsfan Says:

this soap opera has gotten so bad, the Glazers are going to have to step in and pull the plug … enough already … Schiano has to go … his ineptitude is unbelievable … pull the plug Glazers

Oh, I won’t change my screen name. I will be here.

And, what about if Freeman is never heard from again?

Of course it will be someone else’s fault. It’s never his fault.

It’s Winslow’s fault for getting in his ear.
    It’s the offensive line’s fault
It’s because he has no running game.
    No slot receiver
    No tight end
    It’s Greg Olsen’s fault
    It’s the defense’s fault
It’s because he has too many QB coaches
    It’s Schiano’s fault
    It’s Sullivan’s fault
    It’s the media’s fault

Man, when you are the common denominator in so many problems, it’s probably because you are the problem.

    That’s just common sense.

  81. Illuminati Says:

I can almost envision Freeman’s handlers standing before Judge Chamberlain Haller in a rural Alabama courtroom reading this statement, and getting the same response:

Yet people around here STILL assume the worse. No proof. No evidence at all. But hey…let’s make things up.

However, no matter HOW unhappy you were with the product or service, the minute you started namecalling my employees, or myself, I would tell you to never come back and use my business again.

Your being ‘disappointed’ in the QBs performance ON the field does not give you the right to try and shame that PERSON.

This goes for those of you who have been making comments about his sexuality, as well.

I went to college and took adderall and ritalin, I also had a few friends who unfortunately became addicts, one of whom tragically couldn’t stop until he lost his life. I the know the signs of drug use and ritalin and adderall do not explain his behavior this past offseason. Cocaine certainly would though. Attributing his behavior to ritalin and adderall insults my intelligence.

    ——————————

I couldn’t agree more. Well said.

  108. Island Stan Says:

Over 10% of adults suffer from this. And he passed every test they threw at him to see if he was abusing, but he passed every test. Funny how he only started losing his ability to focus once this coach shows up.

I dont see the significance of ritalin vs aderal. They both treat the same disorder! I’m happy that Josh fired back! Protect your reputation! This is starting to look like schianos doing. He’s tryijng to assasinate Josh’s character as his own career is spiraling out of control. He belongs in D.C.! Not One Buc!

  109. Tony Says:

    Smitty,

Guy has off the field problems. Just because it hasn’t been formally written about doesn’t make it false. Any 20-30 something living in South Tampa knows this. He is not some angel sitting there being attacked for no reason. He does need help and I am sympathetic to that, but he has a whole bunch of issues right now and needs help. It is very sad.

  110. BucsfaninChina Says:

Who gives a sh*t about the ritalin vs adderall debate. Sounda like Josh followrd protocol to remedy the situaton.

Somehow this confidential info was leaked out by the organization about an employee under contract. NFLPA gonna have a field day with this joke of an organization

  111. JBo$$ Says:

We will right this ship. Believe me. I know we’ll get it together now that we got rid of that awful, pill popping, gun-slinging Aqib Talib who can’t cover his eyes with both hands. We’re also rid of Leggarette Blount who won’t ever amount to anything in this league. Now we just need to get rid of this Attention Deficit Disorder having QB and we’ll be all set. Trust, Belief and Accountability.

    -The Great Schiano

I trust he leaves on account of ability

  112. Bucs1987 Says:

Smitty…really now? Because I’m typing my opinion on a website? OOOO K

  113. Smitty Says:

So, he goes and gets the help he needs, we wish him well, or keep our damned judgement and venom to ourselves.

  114. Pelbuc Says:

The Glazers need to realize now is that the rest of the league and draft picks and FAs are seeing this circus and we are returning to the days where no one will want to come to TB. Not just because of the loser environment but also how they treat their employees. They will need to rebuild the trust not only of the players but also of the community and the fans. This can only be achieved by starting over with established professional management from the GM, head coach and players who play for more than a paycheck. Time to go back to the drawing board and get rid of the bad apples. C’mon Glazers, wake up!

  115. Bucs1987 Says:

For the record. There was a point when I hated Trent Dilfer too. So I guess I’m a terrible fan now.

  116. BucsQcCity Says:

Dominck needs to pull the plug on Schiano or the Glazers needs to reboot the whole staff including Dominick.

It’s like 4 PC that Schiano needs to coach better and guess what he doesn’t. This will be a performance based decision.

Release Freeman, fire the whole staff, look for depth to complement the starters and pray none of the young promising bucs will ask a release

  117. kh Says:

So if one of your employees did drugs to the point it affected his performance than you would yell at your customer for calling them a druggie/cokehead/pillhead? Yeah, OK.

  118. DomsAdvisor Says:

So Rahtard drafted a mentally handicap QB.

I blame Rah. He knew his Wonderlic was a 9!!! 🙂

  119. Oil Derrick Brooks Says:

    @kh

Exactly. I expect honest statements from no one on either side. Everyone has some sort of interest to preserve. That includes Schiano and Dominick.

But, if you guys don’t think an agent or lawyer reviewed or edited, or wrote that statement, than I have a bridge for you.

There’s millions of dollars at stake. I would never rely on an athlete to write up a public statement that potentially be used against me in some sort of contract dispute.

This is called Public Relations. It’s also what’s coming out of OBP. Just like what comes out of Foxboro. Coach speak. Rhetoric.

  120. Captain Buc Says:

I love the buccaneers so much. That’s why all this fighting about drugs and name calling hurts. It reminds me of Christmas. Miss ya Gam Gam.#love my family# rehab for ADD

  121. Tony Says:

    Smitty,

I agree…but he puts out this statement and now everyone says Schiano and the Bucs leaked it because they hate him with absolutely zero proof of it. Freeman’s personal choice to abuse a drug(s) has sent an entire franchise into an absolute freefall. It is selfish and unfair to everyone involved. He needs to shut it and get help. Period.

  122. BucsQcCity Says:

And also I would like to add that if its not a rebuilding year then its a major fail from Schiano. If he was a true buccaneers man he would walk the plank ob its own

  123. Bucs1987 Says:

Island Stan …so what your saying is. Josh does not have ADHD nor a drug problem? He has a Schiano problem? Good lord.

  124. Illuminati Says:

I heard Josh has a club foot, chronic diarrhea, and three illegitimate children by a deaf-mute underaged Kansas bride.

Somebody call Chris Mortensen so we can get this all sorted out.

  125. Bucs1987 Says:

How come everyone forgets about how much Josh sucked in 2011 under Raheem?

  126. Rob Says:

This hurts Freeman’s trade value. I might be the only one, but I don’t see why the Bucs would leak it.

  127. Buc Fan Says:

Hmm…Josh blows of the local media and gives interview to ESPN and now ESPN reporter leaks that Josh is in stage 1 program…me thinks that the news was leaked by Josh’s team and not from One Buc place to force the Bucs to cut him…

  128. DomsAdvisor Says:

It is a voided contract vs a disability showdown people.

  129. Cmurda Says:

Bucs1987. Sox fan wanting Yankees in? Say it ain’t so. Well, I won’t lie. I hope the Sox get their butts handed to them preferably by the Rays. With that said, I’ve seen you on here quite a bit. Good stuff.

  130. Island Stan Says:

What player in FA next year will want to join this sideshow? We need to clean house!

  131. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

Kh, in the absense of evidence I have to believe Josh. Why? Because in this country we are innocent until proven guilty. You make accusations without a shred of proof. You think because you and the people you know are weak, everyone else is.

Let’s face it. Your own drug use is your reason for making these accusations. You use coccaine, right?

  132. tone850 Says:

You gotta give the guy props. For him to reach the NFL as a QB with ADHD is quite the accomplishment. But now it is time for all parties to move forward.

Everyone needs to quit the conspiracy theory that Schiano is out to ruin Freeman. It’s far from true, and if it was, those players would just walk out on him because they could be next.

  133. DomsAdvisor Says:

Team Glaze wants those millions back.

  134. Pete 422 Says:

Nothing but the best to Josh Freeman. Heck, given Tampa’s history, he’ll catch in with a team & win a Super Bowl.

Even better, fire Schiano, his staff & Dom. Bring in a staff that can bring Josh around.

  135. Oil Derrick Brooks Says:

    @87

2011 was someone else’s fault entirely.

Just not his own. Never his own.

    Ever.

  136. DomsAdvisor Says:

Serious talk. I’m sad for Free.

What a way to have to come out like this. Kind of heart breaking.

  137. Cmurda Says:

Wow. Price. Incredibly diesel. Love that guy. Price in beast mode is unstoppable.

  138. BucsfaninChina Says:

Pray that the Jags start winning. We need some Teddy and Lovie time.

  139. Bucs1987 Says:

Are any of you going to call one buc place and ask for Schiano to be fired?

Cmurda…yah because the Sox beat the Yanks like 10 out of 14 times this year. The Rays are Sox killers though.

  140. PRBucFan Says:

    Complete Game!!!!

    GO RAYS!!!!

  141. kh Says:

And that’s the rub, there is plenty of evidence to suggest he has a drug problem, you just choose to ignore it.

I did coke a few times in my early 20s, I absolutely hated it, but it can consumes those who get into it. I’ve seen that with my own eyes with a few close friends.

I think because Josh is human he is prone to the same things that fail us all.

Quite frankly its laughable that you think he is immune to moments of weakness.

  142. Bucs1987 Says:

Ha Rays won…and my mom falls asleep around 9 PM every night. Tried to call her around 9:20 no answer. Guess she finds out in the morning.

  143. Cmurda Says:

LOL BF in China. I hope it doesn’t come to that but it’s headed that direction. This is shaping up to be a miserable football year for us.

  144. Hawaiian Buc Says:

One way or another, they are going to do everything in their power to not pay Freeman the remainder of his salary. For those wondering why the Bucs would leak this information, that’s why. He has no trade value based upon his performance on the field, as well as his baggage (through his own fault). Clubs aren’t interested according to all insiders. I’m wondering if they could put him on the non-football injury list, which doesn’t require them to pay him. I guarantee you there is a plan for all this. Just wait and see. If I’m wrong, I’ll admit it.

No one within the Bucs is saying anything. And I guarantee you they won’t. Even the players aren’t tweeting. They’re not allowed to because the lunatic wants to control everything. They probably need his approval to father children too. Schiano must go, like yesterday. Freeman can join him.

  145. Island Stan Says:

“It is a voided contract vs a disability showdown people.”

That’s absurd. His “disability” was known by the organization since last year, and was being treated responsibly under the watch of the organization. No matter how many tests they forced this guy to take. This most likely originated from a coach trying to gain public support for his favor. Since this was first seriously implyed the day afer his benching.

  146. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“Are any of you going to call one buc place and ask for Schiano to be fired?”

    ——

I would, but the operators have probably been instructed by Schiano to not answer the phones.

  147. Bucs1987 Says:

Cmurda…I’m the Buc jinx man. For years I would just go to 2-3 games a year. I FINALLY get some money for season tickets for the first time and BAM! It’s like a slap in the face man.

  148. Architek Says:

Just to think the Rays wanted to potentially trade Price for a bat and they ended up needing his arm to get into the playoffs!

  149. Smitty Says:

kh: I did not say that.

I said I would ask YOU to leave my business and never come back. What I do with MY EMPLOYEE to address the problem is my concern, as the business owner and operator. I certainly would address a substance abuse, or other work issue…But I would first have to ascertain WHAT the problem was, and WHAT was appropriate to fix it. That is NOT what the name callers and trash talkers on this board are doing, tonight.

Name calling does not fix anything. Verbal abuse of my family, friends, employees is unacceptable…And that IS how I run my business.

Why do you think you (or anyone else) have a right to be abusive because you are disappointed? You are barking because you are protected by anonymity on a web board. The things some of you are saying on here could be actionable in court, if you said them in public, were wrong, and damaged a person.

Look, I am all about personal accountability…If Josh has a problem, then he is accountable for fixing it. He may need help and support to do so. I am inclined to think he won’t get that support from ‘fans’ like those bashing him in threads on JBF.

  150. Island Stan Says:

“Serious talk. I’m sad for Free.

What a way to have to come out like this. Kind of heart breaking.”

Agreed. Just let the guy move on!

  151. DomsAdvisor Says:

Didn’t Talib lie and say he had ADHD when taking Aderal?

Didn’t Freeman lie when he said his power went out on his alarm clock?

  152. Tampabaybucfan Says:

And the hits just keep on coming….as a Buc fan for many years I’ve yearned for the day that we got national publicity like many of the other teams….at least when it finally arrived it isn’t publicity for one of our players murdering someone.
Maybe now that they’re paying attention to us we can do something good with it!!!

  153. Bucs1987 Says:

Island Stan …I’ll tell you one thing. If I knew our starting QB had ADHD I would not have bought my season tickets. I passed up on our annual summer vacation for these damn tickets. JINX!

  154. kh Says:

Stan this has been implied about Josh long before his benching, goes back to the Rah days by my memory. Rumors were brushed off back then but now you have to wonder.

  155. kh Says:

    ________________________________________________________

    Ding ding ding.

Eric Wright also lied saying his suspensions were from adderall.

Boggles the mind how anyone can buy the adderall BS.

  156. Bucs1987 Says:

Damn it I want answers. If it gets known that the team knew this before the tickets went on sale. I’m blasting them. I’m already calling tomorrow anyways.

  157. Architek Says:

    Now back to this crap!

    @Smitty
There is substance behind your posts and claims of people “attacking or judging” Freeman. He is owed $6+ million in salary this year and there is 6M reasons to be a professional and support the same team that supported his inept arse.

Also your claim about how owners handle complaining customers are off base. If someone complains about the product the owner should be inclined to take a sample on how many customers feel that way about the product.

Then the owner should evaluate the processes, personnel, and performance based on the data collected from surveys. Then make an informed decision – fire Raheem boy and his child!

  158. Bucs1987 Says:

Freeman lies? Come on people stop trashing the man already…(sarcasm)

  159. Island Stan Says:

“Are any of you going to call one buc place and ask for Schiano to be fired?”

Any one “up” for a circle jerk protest? Too weird?

  160. kh Says:

How is anyone who is pissed at Josh being abusive? His behavior is indicative of someone who has a drug issue to anyone with half a clue.

We learn today Freeman is in the drug program, a program that doesnt disclose what drug is tested positive for, in a league where everyone that gets suspended claims it was for adderall (see Talib, Wright, et. al.)

  161. BigMacAttack Says:

Josh had a Schiano problem, no doubt. I have a Schiano problem and I don’t even know the guy. I think his main problem is that he doesn’t know how to motivate players. I totally believe Schiano was instrumental in the distruction of Freeman but Josh has to take responsibility for himself and if it was so bad, Josh should have asked for a trade long ago.

  162. BucPuck Says:

I hope he gets help. With that said I had friends in college that would take adderall after drinking and snorting coke to go to class. Just saying, “cocaine is hell of a drug”.

  163. kh Says:

I’ll just post this again to anyone who wants to think about this with an open mind and not accept Josh’s statement at face value.

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/07/31/is-adderall-becoming-the-new-excuse-for-steroids-users/

Replace steroids with whatever Josh is on.

  164. Bucs1987 Says:

Island Stan …calling one buc and wanting Schiano fired does a lot better than saying it on a website..

  165. Illuminati Says:

BREAKING NEWS: 25-year-old unmarried Florida millionaire occasionally does drugs! Stop the presses, this is a major scoop!

Freeman was benched for no other reason than his lack of performance and progression. Whatever the ancillary reasons for that might be, that’s on him.

  166. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    Kh
Why should I assume everything you claim about yourself is true? How do I know you are not some junkie trying to stir things up? In fact, why should I even believe you are a Bucs fan? Or that you don’t force yourself on women? Or children?

When you assume the worse about people it is a slippery slope. I said things in my last statement that I have no reason to believe. I was baiting you, which I freely admit.

I don’t think any of the above things about you. Why? Because I have no proof. There is no supporting evidence. You claim you used coccaine in the past. Should I assume that means you are still? Why should anyone take anything you say seriously? For all we know those “friends” were really you (except the one who died clearly).

Maybe you are dealing. After all, who needs proof anymore? Accusations are enough to prove guilt now.

Slippery slope and a standard I don’t think anyone here wants a part of. Including you.

  167. Smitty Says:

Being angry is not abusive, kh: Calling him a ‘f******* pillhead’, or making reference to ‘missing his boyfriends’ is. Scumbag, etc.

That is NAME CALLING, and is verbally abusive. Be as angry as you like.

Architek: Make sure and drop me an email with the name of your business. That way, I can make sure and avoid a place that would be okay with verbally abusing and humiliating employees.

  168. Architek Says:

I wish we could go back two years ago when some of us called for Freeman to be replaced and people hated on is every opportunity.

Now it’s full circle and a sad reality.

  169. kh Says:

Ryan Riddle – a former defensive end for the Jets and Raiders — on the reason so many players are using Adderall, the stimulant is being used as a cover-up. “I don’t think they’re using adderall. It’s their PR excuse to the media. NFL doesn’t disclose the actual substance.”

  170. BucsfaninChina Says:

TANK FOR TEDDY!!!!!! LAMEDUCK FOR LOVIE!!!!!

  171. Island Stan Says:

Talib & Write didnt have a doctors note! No prescription! Thats why the NFL is giving Josh a pass! Lay off the guy! He’s not in a “drug program”! His character is being assassinated, and he’s not going out quietly, like **** want him to! Stand up for yourself Josh!

  172. Bucs1987 Says:

“‘missing his boyfriends’ is. Scumbag, etc.”

Smitty… and here I sit thinking that gays were now accepted in society. I didn’t know that was an insult now…just as bad as pillhead according to you.

  173. delson Says:

Damn damn damn.. right next to head coach gm referee professional qb n josh freeman hater u guys can put drug classifier/narcs on ya resumes..

  174. Illuminati Says:

    @ kh

That is not news. The NFL policy is to only report that an athlete tested positive for a PED. They leave it up to the athlete’s team, or agent, or handlers, or the athlete himself to elaborate. So, they all say it was Adderall, because admitting that you are a steroid user carries a stigma and could damage your career.

However, not all banned substances are PEDs. In Josh’s circumstance, I don’t think there has been any implication of PED use.

  175. Bucs1987 Says:

Josh don’t go away mad…just go away.

  176. Island Stan Says:

“Island Stan …calling one buc and wanting Schiano fired does a lot better than saying it on a website..”

A circle jerk protest outside of One buc trumps calling their receptionist! Let’s glaze the sidewalks in front of One buc people!

  177. Smitty Says:

You know the difference. I know the difference.

Saying he is failing to play QB at an adequate level because of his sexual orientation is wrong, and that was definitely the context of the comment I was addressing.

  178. Sledd Says:

This sh*t is an embarrassment to the NFL, the Buccaneers and their fans…After being a diehard Bucs fan and season ticket holder for 28 years, I’m sick of this rollercoaster…we need to clean house(won’t happen) and get rid of Dominik and Schiano and all of the college coaches, and get some real NFL football men in here.
The organization has become a toxic mess, and a joke.

  179. Architek Says:

No Smitty sir – again it’s not about humiliating and calling name in sports because that’s sports.

Raheem son; I mean Freeman created this and the good boy clean cut kid role wore out and now he’s exposed. He won’t accept accountability because there are many sides to this! Schiano is insufficient and Freeman is a drug user that allowed it to affect his field play.

Next story – I don’t knock you Smitty but I do knock people that make this spoiled and irresponsible athlete a victim.

  180. Oil Derrick Brooks Says:

    @Bonzai

This is not a court of law. This is reality. Do you really not see all this smoke up in here? If you want to think Freeman is not involved in drugs because you don’t have proof, ok fine. But, after experiencing life long enough, I have learned to read between the lines.

I said this the other day, there’s loads of high round draft picks that suck. So, why don’t we hear all the rumors about them and drugs?

I’m sorry but, when the smoke gets this thick, and then combine the team photo, missing the first day of camp, etc., it’s obvious something is up. This is his contract year for crying out loud. It’s not a conspiracy, and it’s not people just making things up.

  181. Bucs1987 Says:

Island Stan …you first…I’ll meet you there…I swear I will.

  182. buc4lyfe Says:

@SNOOKAU SNOTRAG OR WHATEVER YOUR NAME IS, IS THERE A REASON YOUR TAKING THIS ISSUE OF ANOTHER MAN SO SERIOUSLY? COULD IT BE YOUR SITTING THERE SWITCHING AND WISHING YOU HAD SOMETHING TO SNORT? DON’T EVER REMEMBER FREEMAN GETTING SUSPENDED AND UNLESS YOUR IN THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY LIKE ME YOUR SPECULATING ABOUT ANYTHING DRUG RELATED UNLESS YOUR SPELLING FROM EXPERIENCE. FREEMAN IS GONE, WE HAVE 8 PROBOWL PLAYERS YET WE SICK….TALK ABOUT THAT BECAUSE YOU SOUND ANGRY, ARE YOU A SKINHEAD?

  183. Island Stan Says:

“Island Stan …you first…I’ll meet you there…I swear I will.”

haha! If I stroke it, they will come!

  184. kh Says:

Bonzai- for god sakes, this isnt an fn court of law, its is the JBF comments section where I am judge, jury and executioner.

If you want to buy Josh’s BS and take that statement at face value then please carry-on going through life naively and say whats up to the Tooth Fairy and Santa for me.

I happen to think Josh (1) didn’t write that statement (2) the statement is completely full of shit and (3) considering his offseason behavior (i.e. evidence,) all signs seem to point to a drug problem. Which would make sense since he’s in a treatment program no?!? With the history of NFL players blaming every suspension on adderall (more evidence) you’ll have to forgive me if I don’t buy that this is all because he has ADHD.

Further, I will post whatever I damn well choose, spare me the moral bullshit about a slippery slope. It’s a comments section, I’m not Josh’s therapist or counselor, my opinions are my own, I don’t need a moron like Freeman to think for me.

Again, if he didn’t want any of this scrutiny he could have easily avoided it by doing what most every other NFL would do in this situation, keep their mouth shut.

  185. sombrerobro Says:

It should be noted that Adderrall is an amphetamine and as such, is almost always tested for.
Ritalin on the other hand is chemically very close to cocaine but not usually tested for.
While both drugs are used to treat ADHD especially in children, adults frequently use the ADHD diagnosis as an excuse to obtain the drugs and benefit from their amping effect.
I should know………. I did it for quite some time.
Crushed up and snorted Ritalin is an awful lot like like cocaine…….stepped on coke, but you get the point.

  186. delson Says:

  188. Bucs1987 Says:

I was reading the game day thread late last night here. So funny how Raphael said he would support Glennon if he ever comes in. So at the start of the thread Raphael comes in. Says Go Glennon. By the end of the thread he was trashing Glennon for every little thing. Then says Freeman would have won this game for the Bucs.

Then again what do you expect from someone that made of fun of Glennon to people in here during preseason saying sorry guys “the great white hope” just isn’t going to make it.

So admit it Raphael when you see what I wrote. Admit that you support Freeman by the color of skin. That your a bigger Freeman fan than a Bucs fan. The proof is in the pudding. Notice how you never said fire Schiano until after Freeman got benched…

  189. kh Says:

Oil Derrick Brooks – great point about it being his contract year. That he couldn’t hold it together at such a pivotal point in his life/career is another glaring sign of a problem.

  190. Smitty Says:

Humiliating and name calling is sport? Huh.

Imagine if that were not true.

  191. Illuminati Says:

That might be the funniest and most sadly accurate thing I’ve read today.

  192. Bucs1987 Says:

  193. Island Stan Says:

If josh can survive this circus like ive never seen before, he will come out 10 years wiser and more mature. But we need to move on. And start looking at some up and coming NFL coaches. I think our draft needs to be focused on our interior lines on offense and defense. And I wonder what qb will be available for a trade or free agency.

  194. Hesson0208 Says:

I think it’s ridiculous that people are like: ‘Oh, it’s just Adderall…’ – Look at the chemical name of Adderall ——–> Amphetamine / Dextroamphetamine. <—— These are heavy drugs, people. Legal for those have approval, yes, but they still carry a long list of mental and physical side effects. Google it. It's unfortunate that Freeman's 'advisors' allowed this to occur. Now, it's official: Josh Freeman is under the influence of drugs; and some of the mental side effects were painfully obvious.

  195. kh Says:

@Illumanati – you missed my point, Josh can say he was in the program was because he accidentally took ritalin, but that is more than likely the furthest thing from the truth.

Its about as believable as Wright and Talib saying they were busted for adderall when everyone with a brain knows those two smoke trees.

  196. Amarti190711 Says:

Wish Josh the best of Luck
People shouldn’t bash a man over football. Humanity should come first over sports.

  197. Bucs1987 Says:

Yes I agree Stan. That’s why I hope Josh is cut loose tomorrow. I want to come on JBF and see the news. So that I don’t have to look at pictures of Freeman anymore when I click on JBF. or Maybe only a picture here and there.

  198. Bucs1987 Says:

Okay…I’m out. Enough drama for one day. Stay tuned for the next episode tomorrow.

  201. Architek Says:

Sorry Smitty – you know these iPhones and the likelihood of typos.

I was pointing out that name calling is a part of sports.

  202. Oil Derrick Brooks Says:

    @Illuminati

You know, you are totally right.

I guess after I hearing the sheer volume of technicalities and explanations for his gaffes from people over the years, that’s how I best equate it. It’s like I’m reading OJ’s or Casey Anthony’s defense team’s posts every day. “Greg Olson’s offense did not fit, you must acquit!”

And in Josh’s case, we aren’t bound by any Rules of the Court. I call it like I see it. The way I see it is 1) Freeman hasn’t pulled his weight. 2) Some sort of substance issue is going on. 3) see 1.

  203. DomsAdvisor Says:

  205. tonytwocents Says:

of all the days to get banned by Joe. with a topic like this…smh.

  206. tonytwocents Says:

sorry Joe. I tried, PR, Buc Nation, TBO, but I keep coming back to JBF. sue me. I’m a fan.

  207. tonytwocents Says:

and yes. I resorted to an IP scrambler, just to get my JBF comment fix. sad?? extremely!

  208. tonytwocents Says:

I’m just bummed that I missed the Freeman story….

  209. DomsAdvisor Says:

    TTC… your take on Freebird.

  210. Cmurda Says:

Haha Tony with the IP scrambler. You sir are now a hero of mine. That is dedication.

  211. DCBUCSFAN Says:

Schiano and his circus need to be fired now!

  212. tonytwocents Says:

Thanks for asking….. Fire Schiano! But seriously, I didnt expect the sideshow to get worse. I say cut ties with Free, & alot of you know how I feel about Schiano. btw, thanks for your pity interest… youre alright, advisor..

  213. tonytwocents Says:

no CMurda, its nothing to applaud…..Im officially a JBF btch… Its a very sad existence… go out and LIVE! while you still can!!

  214. tonytwocents Says:

to the Joes, I dont know how many more times I can apologize for my drunken Sat Night Tirade, and then calling you out regarding your affilliation with 620 today. But I’m 100% sorry. If theres anyway you can lift the ban, I’ll lay low on the language, the attacks on other posters, and definitely wont call you out again! Thats all I got….

  215. DomsAdvisor Says:

Why didn’t you just invent a new name.

  216. Raphael Says:

1987 … I support Glennon…not Schiano he has lied and destroyed this team….he has no business coaching a pro team .

FYI …..Terry Bradshaw , Pete Rose ,Michael Phelps, Justin Gatlin. All have ADHD !

Your still a POS ‘ 87 Go back under your rock , scum bag

  217. Gt40bear Says:

Just to be a contrary conspiracy kook. What if Freeman’s camp leaked the story just so Josh could again play the victim? Hell hath no fury…either way, they need to blow this mother up and start from scratch!

  218. DomsAdvisor Says:

The message is stronger than the anonymous user handle.

  219. DomsAdvisor Says:

TbH… if Freebird is still worth a conditional 3rd rounder… I’d come right out and say that’s the game plan. But this time, make Free sit in the nosebleeds.

  220. tonytwocents Says:

    @Doms,

Ive already been TrueBuc, MakaveliTheDon, Tony Two Cents, but I went back to tonytwocents, (the real me), and one of the Joes (or maybe their assistants) totally wiped out my last couple days of posts….I got a little rowdy at times.. But Id rather be on JBF as myself than as another alias. (I was sooo close to coming back as Mike Vicks alias, Ron Mexico)

    _____________________________________________________________

It’d be in the Glazers and Doms best interest to keep Free’s Adderall situation as out of the spotlight as possible. So thats why I think the leak originated with Schi.

From now till next month, QBs can go down, Free’s remaining salary will go down, and THATS when teams will start bidding. He’s a legit #2, and a solid replacement for an injured starter. But now that depends on how this new story pans out. It’ll be up to the medical experts analysis. Not Frees or Schiano’s words. IMO

  222. Joe Says:

    Kh = JBF?

    No.

  223. McBuc Says:

It seems many of you have no clue about ADHD. Many people are highly successful that have it. I have it and make a good living public speaking. The founder if kinkos and the founder of jet blue are two of many examples. If you want to know more read driven to destruction. Freeman needed to be benched, but ADHD did not play a role. Also sometimes it takes several different meds before you find one that works. I choose not to take anythng, because without meds it gives me the ability to multi task like crazy. Oh, and fire shiano asap, he is too ego driven to make changes to his plan.

  224. DomsAdvisor Says:

There is nothing that any of us can say that will top the drama that is going down at one Buc right about now.

  225. tonytwocents Says:

hey Joe. I just couldnt stay away. Ive been on this site since Raheems first year. Is there anyway I can get my ban lifted?? like I said earlier, I’m sorry for my drunken rants and then calling you out today reg CC. Is there a way I can get reinstated??

  226. Illuminati Says:

    @ tonytwocents

    HAH! You ban-gettin’-lifted MOFO.

  227. tonytwocents Says:

    seriously?? lemme check.

  228. Illuminati Says:

    Roger, Roger. Over, over.

  229. tonytwocents Says:

    oh… youre callin me a “ban-gettin-lifted” mf…

  230. Illuminati Says:

I calls ’em like I sees ’em.

  231. tonytwocents Says:

nope. “Joe” was just on here, I apologized again, but theyve banned my a**. I dont know if its Steve or Lee, or just one of the assistants…but they dont like my a**…..whatever.

  232. tonytwocents Says:

I knewww I shouldve bought em a lapdance on their anniversary.

  233. Illuminati Says:

    @ tonytwocents

If you were totally banned, I couldn’t see your posts. So, there ya go.

  234. Illuminati Says:

    @ tonytwocents

Well, maybe you are banned. No great shakes. It is what it is.

  235. tonytwocents Says:

well I’m cheating. I’m using a scrambler…. when youve been on this site since -08-09, its hard to just let go. this website is like that crazy red haired girlfriend… she doesnt want your a** anymore, and you dont need her drama…..but the a** is soooo good! Joe, I cant get over your sweet a**!…..alright, I’ll stop.

  236. Rahb Says:

RIDICULOUS! This is about a Leak of Confidential Information.

So who did it? Seems like the most likely place to look is THE BUCCANEERS!

Freeman was a virtual Choir Boy until Schiano became the Head Coach! Now Freeman is an lethargic, disobedient, Dope Fiend who is a Locker room Cancer.

Same Guy who used to smile all game winning or losing, Rallied team during Lock-Out, Captain Comeback, Burning the Mid-Night Oil to Master his craft, Team Captain. ALL THIS DESTROYED THROUGH SCHIANO CHARACTER ASSASINATION

  237. Illuminati Says:

    @ tonytwocents

Well, the good thing is, redheads are often squirters.

  238. Illuminati Says:

    @ Rahb

Or, maybe it’s just that Freeman didn’t play very well.

  239. tonytwocents Says:

haha! and crazy in the sac……. crazy in the head, crazy in the bed….Im a sucker for gingers…

  240. tonytwocents Says:

I agree Rahb. Free mentioned how he started poppin a year and a half ago….since Schiano came in. He probably overwhelmed the kid.

But this story shouldnt be out in public…. Someone leaked it, so who benefits??? Not Dom n the Glazers if theyre trying to get a trade.

  241. OB Says:

Joe I think everyone missed the real point, what was he taking or not taking his first year? This is the real question because he was a different QB then.

The rest explains why he was so slow in reacting or thinking.

  242. UglyMarlon Says:

    what?!

  247. UglyMarlon Says:

did I ever tell you that Im ugly as fucckk?? oh my god! I spent my first two years of life gettin punched in the face by daddy! trying to at least make my face symetrical! but he made it worse! I need a face brace on the left side of my face, cause he punched all the weight to that side. but yeah, thats why Im Ugly Marlon! women find me…..unique!

  248. UglyMarlon Says:

but seriously job fans, Ugly Marlon has a dream. Ugly Marlon wants to see the St Pete Bay area finally get a winning football game. Lets get Raymond and James to Move the team out to St Pete! They might have to lower the ticket prices, and play the first few seasons in the park, but thats Ugly Marlons dream. Lets bring the AFL to the Bay Area! And to the Glamorous Brothers, can you loan me fifty dollars? Ugly Marlons gotta dream! To you haters, aww sheeit, I hate myself too! alright then

  249. White Tiger Says:

Speaking as someone who has had ADHD since being diagnosed at 8y/o – Ritalin, first…it iis an older and less effective drug.

The misunderstanding by the publid is that you cannot focus – wrong – there are times when I am intensely focused – then there are times where I’m all ver the board.

Sometimes caffeine helps – mostly when I was younger and they didn’t want the Ritilin to turn me into a zombie whe they were trying toregulate me.

Adderall is more effective – but it’s abused by athletes for a couple of reasons – sometimes it’s abused to give extra periods of high-intensity focus. Like whe you have to lift weights, but you’re also scheduled to study for 4 finals in the same week…

..or like when you are expected to learn several deffirent offenses in as many years, under 3 OC’s and two HC’s – while also pooring over game film and then fitting in extra practice with recievers while on strike.

Yeah – it helps – but only because you can’t regulate when your body denies you the focus you need. Many atheletes who do not abuse adderall – but don’t want to be stigmatized for taking a banned substance – try Ritalin because it accmplishes the taming of he distracted mind, albeit from another direction – it slows everything down – because adderall abuse is rampant on college campii all across the USA – athletes try to other means, rather than stepping forward and stating they take abanned substance.

I don’t know the NFL’s policy concerning legitimate adderall usage – but some regulating bodies do not differentiate between abusers and legitimate users – even if you have a perscription, you must come forward as a user of a banned substance, enter a phase one program, where you are monitored for additional PED’s which are grouped by abusers to acheive specific enhancements. If during the time you are being monitored ANY other substance (and they know what they’re looking for) used in conjunction with adderall will result in a suspension REGARDLESS of having a doctors note.

The FACT that Freeman was NEVER moved from Phase One afer passing 46 drug tests – means he has been a legit ADHD patient.

More often than not – I outperform everyone around I work with – I havent taken anything for years – it’s a struggle but I have learned to live with it and use it to my benefit. I’ve learned that it enhances my BS meter and I turn off people who have a line of BS, but can’t back it up – I go around those and do the things I want, the way I need to – tends to piss people off who want you to follow a specific formula/process – see that worls for normal people, but I’m abnormal – so it doesnt work for me. I can learn to do what I need t do, it just takes me a little longer intially to figure out how. If I am interested & engaged – I have a single minded focus to deliver results. Some days I can put in a full day before a presentation – go home and build the entire presentation for a client – working through the entire night – and present it the following day. I call ’em “all nighters” – while the clock punchers stand infront of the water fountain and then are the first ones out of the building – I’m clearing my desk and heading home to do another 8 hours.

of course the downside is – when I crash it’s a two day recovery. That just comes with figuring out how much you need to get done while the focus and the high hit you – because the crash is coming.

Thats why athletes level out these periods by taking adderall or Ritalin – when properly regulated – there are no periods of constant energy, followed by absolutely no focus or energy. You get a more normal application of both.

ADHD folks tend to be high performers/over-achievers in every line of work/field they enter.

My guess is Schiano completely misunderstands Freemans approach, determined Freeman is too stupid to follow precise instructions – and has judged him to be ignorant – aks me how I know – Freeman has to figure out how to learn systems on his own. Schiano is an arrogant fool if he doesn’t know how to handle elite athletes – and he’s worse than that if he’s the one who leaked the story about Freeman’s “drug problem” – because HIPPA laws say you can be prosecuted for divulging anyone’s health information.

Ironic that it comes on the heals of someone divulging that the coach lied about the real outcome of who the players really voted team captain, that there was a “mutual understanding” that Freeman would not be allowed to be n the same sidelines with the team, and that he would not be available for reporters because he was afraid – in every instance it has been proven Schiano lied.

This guy will be fired after the Philly game…if he IS the guy leaking this stuff – he deserves to be fired during the bye…

  250. UglyMarlon Says:

White Tiger, guys born different, like you, arent appreciated until the next life. Some people think so broadly that they need a harness to bring all of that awareness into a focus… Its not a disability, its a gift. But blunt ogres like our ***** coach dont have a clue what to do with that type of talent or ability.

  255. Patrick in VA Says:

I truly hope Josh finds the help he needs with whatever issues he’s dealing with. It’s upsetting to see the stances that some of you have taken. You might feel like you know him or have a connection because you spend so much time reading stories about him or listening to interviews when not watching him play but none of us know this guy or what he’s dealing with. feeling entitled to pass judgment on someone because you bought a ticket to watch the team play it’s ridiculous. It speaks volumes about the character of the people on this site. He was tough to watch and it was time for him to go. That doesn’t make him deserving of all this. I hope he gets help and I’d like to see him back up and learn from Peyton Manning for a couple years in Denver. then he’d get the guidance he always lacked here

  256. Buc Fan South Tampa Says:

So we drafted a guy who is ADHD and is on drugs to control it? Great move Rah. He is the gift that keeps on giving

  257. Eric Says:

Terry Bradshaw. Michael Jordan. Magic Johnson. All ADHD.

Ritalin and adderall are virtually identical. Since Josh had to be under care of a psychiatrist for either I could see them trying both to see what worked. Or a sample of Ritalin.

So, his story may make perfect sense.

I like to believe the Bucs wouldn’t leak this, I sure hope not.

  258. BROCKTACULAR Says:

    C’MON LOVIE SMITH

  259. Patrick in VA Says:

    Agreed on bringing in Lovie

  260. Rick Says:

Give it a rest – the morons posting here should get a job at One Buc Place and join that batch of idiots running around with their hair on fire.

The worst part of this whole thing is how Freeman’s privacy was violated – the sanctity of his protected medical information was ignored. None of us would be happy if that happened to us – and NO you don’t have a right to know about his health status because he’s an NFL quarterback.

Forget the on the field or the in the locker room issues. This transcends sports and NFL football – what’s happening to Freeman in this instance is just plain WRONG just like those of you all who are making fun of his statement or relating his affliction to playing the game.

And, for what it’s worth I think Freeman’s move with his statement if the first honorable thing that has been done in this whole sordid affair. He put the chips on the table with a simple statement of what he sees as the truth unlike Schiano and Dominik.

Vent your spleens regarding Freeman’s play if you must, but leave his medical information and afflictions alone – it’s none of our business.

  261. PRBucFan Says:

    God forbid! GASP*

The world knows he has ADHD 0.O!!!

  262. jb Says:

What most all of you are failing to see, is Schiano is behind all of this fiasco with Freeman. Freeman is his scapegoat (not to say Freeman is blameless) he had to use
to take everyone’s mind off the fact that he is in so deep over his head with trying to be a successful NFL Coach. Look at you all…..especially JoeBucsFan, Mortensen, and the rest of the media. All Schiano has to do is throw out a tiny shred of innuendo, an we’re all on it like sharks!
What’s accomplished? Are any of you talking about how clueless Schiano was this past Sunday? Not to mention every game he’s coached since he got here? The wins we had the middle of last season, we won DESPITE Schiano not knowing WTF he’s doing!

Leeman Bennett did the same thing in ’86 when he thru Ken House & Jimmy Giles under the bus by releasing them with like 3 or 4 weeks to go in the season, to try and distract everyone from the pathetic job he’d done in coaching us to two straight 2-14 seasons. It didn’t work, and he was s***canned at the end of the ’86 season. Just like Shiano will be.

Freeman has some real issues, but instead of trying to work with what he had, Schiano’s ego keeps telling him he knows better than anyone.

Would ANYONE here want to work for that P.O.S.?
    I didn’t think so……

But you all go ahead and keep trashing the QB, that’s exactly what Schiano wants…no, NEEDS you all to do.

  263. jb Says:

    KEVIN House…

  264. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    You guys are low class.

    PR, grow up.

  265. KMAC1322 Says:

Notice how he says hes never failed a test but he doenst mention that he has never used drugs or abused them!! You can tell by looking at him that he has been into some serious shit for a while now, he looks completely different then he did 2 seasons ago

  266. DWC2 Says:

It is a shame that when times have gotten tough, people have chosen to attack the character of others, rather than supporting each other. I remain dedicated and focused to being the best quarterback I can be and to help a team win a championship.”
    ————————————————————————————
Josh has to be the happiest Buc at OBP, at least he’s getting out!

  267. PRBucFan Says:

Lol that was extreme sarcasm obviously y’all are acting like it’s the end of the world because the world knows he has ADHD lmao.

And I still stand by the fact that if he indeed is into some serious shit and people have found out that he needs to get over it because ACTIONS CARRY CONSEQUENCES and you lose your right to bitch when you brought it upon yourself.

If he isn’t into anything than great for him, he still sucks.

Many of you say don’t jump to conclusions yet now there’s a conspiracy theory that Schiano would stoop this low. Hypocrisy at it’s finest.

If you ask me if indeed nothing is up with him here, starting with his agent calling Schiano a liar to now all this with the “supposed leak” sure seems as if Free might be the beneficiary with a quick release and the organization becoming “tainted”. Focus is now off the fact that he just plain sucks and now he’s the “victim”.

Sense y’all wanna throw “cloak and dagger scenarios” out there… smh

  268. vessej5 Says:

What is sketchy is how easy it is to be prescribed this legal form of meth/speed under the shadow of having “ADHD”. I don’t doubt that you haven’t taken any “banned substances”. I simply question the authenticity of your diagnosis, so to use a severely abused drug for its side affects rather than its efficacy to treat disease.
