Updates On Key Bucs Injuries

August 3rd, 2013

Bucs coach Greg Schiano offered updates on injuries in his daily post-practice, post-push-ups press conference.

Mike Williams was out with a mild strained hamstring. “Mild” is the key word. Williams visited Schiano’s office this morning prior to the team taking the field and, per Schiano, begged the coach to let him practice.

Adrian Clayborn has a sore groin and it too is a mild injury. Schiano noted that Clayborn is expected to return to practice next week and may be able to play in Thursday’s preseason opener against the Baltimore Crows at the Stadium on Dale Mabry Highway, though that hasn’t been determined yet.

Vincent Jackson was absent today, but for good reason. He is healthy and he and his wife also welcomed a healthy new baby boy to the world this morning. Name to be determined.
