Any minute now…one more speech and then. Mr.Warren Sapp MY FAVORITE BUC OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. loung Says:

talking tr and backing up >>> 99 speaking is the best .. the best of the BUCCANEERS

  4. Buc1987 Says:

Okay well I wish he would have talked a little bit more about Dungy, other than talking about the NFL Network crew. Only teared up when talked about his ex. He represented the Bucs well. The only time he had me choked up a lil was when he mentioned Lynch and Brooks. Then Dungy and Gruden. No mention of Kiffin. He mentioned Chris Eisen and the network crew, but no Kiffin??? The SB highlights got me a little chocked up. My wife was crying on the family mentions. He looked to be a mess walking off the stage though probably crying about his ex. Meh, he’s still my boy. Would have liked a lil more Buc related thanks though.
I’m sorry about getting choked up peeps, but that’s what Bucs football does to me. That’s what I mean when I type the words MY Bucs. I can’t understand it nor express it, what this team means to me. Maybe it’s because I know the history of MY Bucs. I’m sorry if I get defensive at times, by defensive I mean, I may come off as a homer. That’s not the case. It’s just that I know my team. Some may not see it, most of us do. I took something from Parcells that reminded me a bit of Schiano. Not going to get into that. Let’s just say MY Bucs are on the brink of something great. So get your tickets while you can. Don’t let the_buc_realist discourage you. I know MY Bucs. 2013 NFC South Division Champs!

  5. Andrew 1 Says:

also noticed he didnt thank the fans. your welcome Sapp.

  6. Andrew 1 Says:

    @ Buc1987

dont be ashamed of being a homer. im proud of it.

  7. Vincente Says:

Sapp delivered a great speech and @ Andrew 1 he doesnt gave to thank the fans it should be the fans thanking him for going out there entertaining and putting his body on the line for OUR bucs. Thank you warren there will never be another like 99 will never be seen on a different player. You deserve it. Great speech!

  8. Vincente Says:

I love Tampa and the history it carries. I’m pumped to see the 2013 season start. These bucs are gonna surprise A LOT of ppl. But not this guy i know what Tampa is all about and them cannons are gonna be fire hot every Sunday!

  9. Andrew 1 Says:

    @ Vincente

I noticed the others thanked their fans. Chris Carter in particular showed alot of love to the fans. and your wrong because without us fans who have remained supportive during the losing season, dragged our asses out their in the heat, and paid extraordinary amounts of money to help support his giant paycheck, there would be no NFL and there would be no hall of fame for him to join.

  10. Buc1987 Says:

I’m proud of it too Andrew but I’m also a realistic homer.

  11. Andrew 1 Says:

look im not offended by it, just a little irritated thats all. its a two way street, we have supported Sapp for as long as hes been a buc and its only fitting that he does the same.

  12. Andrew 1 Says:

but you know what, even though he didn’t recognize us Im still happy for him.

  13. Vincente Says:

@andrew1 yeah your right about that. He could of a least mentioned us lol.

  14. Buc1987 Says:

He was special though Andrew, I would not expect him to thankful us though. It’s not on his mind. We never were actually. Unfortunately. Strange dude, always has been. Still my all time favorite, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. I’m loung up there. loung : talking tr and backing up >>> 99 speaking is the best .. the best of the BUCCANEERS

I know that loung. YES he is, and he always will be. Big mouth and all. Representing. My all time favorite Bucs player.

Andrew1…expect Brooks to thank the fans, especially Barber and Lynch as well. Then maybe in about 15 yrs or so Alstott.

Love this team love the history and the story, but I’m a realistic homer.
2013 NFC South Division Champs!!!!!….am I right loung? MY Bucs ha ha ha ha HA!

  15. Buc1987 Says:

Sorry for the typos and tequlia!

  16. Buc1987 Says:

damn I even spelled tequila wrong…maybe switch to vodka? LOL

  17. Buc1987 Says:

Yes true there were Buc fans in the audience, all the way in Ohio. Would have been nice of Sapp to make a mention of that. So no mention of fans or Kiffin. Oh well obla di obla da. Hope to see FSU Derrick Brooks representing next year. Somehow I think they will make him wait atleast another year. Then again that D was damn special. Maybe next year for Brooks.

When will Shaun King be in there? You know Shaun King “One of two Buc Quarterbacks to lose an NFC Championship Game when his defense gave up 11 or fewer points”

I read that somewhere before, I can’t remember where?

  18. Andrew 1 Says:

lol. the whole deal with Shaun king is a shame to. if only he could get over his feelings of being slighted by the bucs. that cold monday night comeback win vs the rams that he played in will be a game that I will always remember.

  19. Joe Says:

If anyone expected Sapp to give a shout out to Monte Kiffin or the fans doesn’t know Sapp very well (or is a regular reader of Joe).

  20. wesly Says:

No mention of Monte, Lee Roy, fans or even his own kids.

  21. Andrew 1 Says:

    @ Joe

I didnt expect it, but that doesn’t mean im still not disappointed by it. its wrong and Ill just leave it at that.

  22. MadMax Says:

Come on now!! Sapp said he might forget some people, the guy was emotional and trying to fight back choking up, then lost it a little at the end.
He did good though. Congrats Big Man Sapp!

It wasnt a big deal to me, but Im only speaking for me. Still love and appreciated BIG NASTY and VERY glad he’s commentating so we can still enjoy him. Loved the other HOF members speeches as well, especially the Big Tuna (Wise words from a very wise Man). And Carter did an AWESOME job of “inclusively sharing” his Hall Of Fame. Loved Ogden’s speech too.

It just goes to show, you come from where you come from. Dealing with challenges on the field speaks to how you deal with the challenges in life. Give it all you can give at all times. Its always going to be hard, sometimes harder for others. But it is what it is and you make the best of it with what you’ve got….and dont puss out….Always 110%, Always!

I liked how they mentioned the ’99 NFC Championship game that they implied we should have won. They mentioned how Sapp & Co. held them to 5 points, until went 7 up on us cause Shaun McBurger King avoids the endzone like he avoids salads.

Sapp also mentioned how (cant remember if it was on his special, or tonight) Dungy was a bit soft. I think he felt that Dungy kept them from a few championships because he was too soft on Dilf*ck and King.

  24. tonytwocents Says:

I love 99!!!! Only NFL Jersey I ever bought was his. The speech was fine. Some of you are right, not much on Dungy, Kiffin, or Barber, Lee Roy . When he was talking about Kurt Warner, I though he would bring up Farve, but whatever.

The Red & Pewter Finally arrives in Canton!! HOF Bitches!!!!!

Mr Sapp may be a self-acknowledged a$$ hole at times, he was ugly, a monster, a beast, but after watching his series last night, he’s still a kid at heart. And he speaks his mind, whether you like what he says or not.

I love that man… Im proud to say I watched him wearing his 99 replica, like a little groupie. Got to see him tear Farve up on MNF, my favorite game, think in 98??

I hope our current players were watching… I wonder if they got dust in their eyes like I did…. congrats Mr Sapp!! Getchur party on!!!!!!!

Im so tired of the guy big nasty with the horn always showing up and getting credit for being a great fan where was he in the late 80’s and early 90’s when I sat thru 100 straight games of getting our asses beat I never remember seeing or hearing about big nasty til the new stadium, we always sat in the south endzone in sombrero and chanted Hardy Hardy Hardy, their was no big nasty I still go to this day and would gladly compare ticket stubs to that turd anyday.

  28. Josh P Says:

Maybe Sapp didn’t thank the fans during his speech, he also didn’t thank Rod Marineli either, but i listen to several interviews throughout the week special one with Booger and he emphaticlly thanked the fans for sitting in those stands and Marineli..Got to say i loved the the little Keyshawn jab!!! Like he said, he could sit up there for hours thanking everyone and at time you could see he was struggling just trying to stay on track, the dud was nervous as hell. That was his momment!!!! See you next year Brooks!!

  29. Cody Says:

The Bucs needed a spokesman, someone brutally honest, someone who wouldn’t back down from anyone, someone who could talk the talk and walk the walk, and lastly, someone who would hold his teammates accountable…Sapp was the perfect man for the job…

He was little ruff around the edges but his swagger was exactly what this franchise needed to shake the losing culture the Bucs seemed to be mired in back then…Thanks again Big guy you’r the #1 Buc in my Book…

  30. Buc1987 Says:

The only problem that I had with the whole speech, was the 3 minutes he took to talk about his network crew. When he could have talked more about football related events. Your going into the hall man. Make it a memorable speech. Now I will always remember the shout out to the network crew. Unfortunate.
