Joe Lets Loose With The Big Dog

August 7th, 2013

As is the new Wednesday tradition at 5 p.m., Joe sits down for the “JoeBucsFan Hour” with the dean of Tampa Bay sports radio, Steve Duemig, live on WDAE-AM 620.

Joe dove into all things Bucs, as well as JoeBucsFan.com history on Joe’s fifth birthday. Enjoy.

When did Schiano say he was disappointed in Bowers? If you are talking about the press conf a few days ago, I dont remember reading anything that hinted that Schiano was disappointed…

Great interview. Very informative. Specially the part about Ronde having to tell Schiano to lay off a bit. Never heard that before.

  2. Joe Says:

When did Schiano say he was disappointed in Bowers?

Joe’s written about that twice this week.

  3. Couch Fan Says:

    @Joe

I realize that and I’ve read both articles but neither state that Schiano specifically said he was disappointed, it was mentioned in the interview that Schiano specifically said it, twice…

Did Schiano actually say those words or is that just your interpritation of what he was trying to convey?

  4. Joe Says:

    Couch:

Either a coach is happy with a player’s performance in training camp or he is disappointed. And Schiano is not happy with Bowers’ practices thus far, which Schiano discussed twice already.

    It’s really not that complex.

  5. Biff Barker Says:

I’m actually thinking it’s conditioning with Bowers. Both mental and getting in football shape too.
Hope it’s just a camp thing.

Great job Joes! I think a good nickname for Doug would be the Dougernaught.

Deuces Wild! <—-that's my nickname for Doug. I actually called him that at the signing during the night practice. He asked if I would like him to sign that on my football. I said, yeah that would be awesome! I thanked him for hooking me up. It wasn't until I got home and put it on my display shelf that I realized he misspelled Deuces, dueces. I think that's a very common error, but it was still a slight bummer. Now I just laugh about it. Makes for a good story. It makes it more unique, thanks Doug! I hope he hits 2K this season.

Thanks Joe, for bringing up the CBA practice limits. I think it's ridiculous that everyone is crying that Schiano burned these guys out. These guys are elite athletes. It's the NFL. Some of the NFL HOFers are prob rolling in their grave with the relaxed practice rules.

Honestly, I believe we should all feel lucky we have Schiano as our head coach. This guy is the real deal. I love Schiano! I'll run through a wall for that dude.

I sure hope we can have a great year, and keep Sully. Losing Sully would really suck.

    Happy Bday Joes!
