“Tell Me I Ain’t The Best”

May 10th, 2013

Rare footage here of a wildly cocky moment in the world of Ronde Barber. If you were a Bucs fan during the glory years, well, this video is darn well worth your time.

  5. Oil Derrick Brooks Says:

Have any draft picks signed yet? Just curious.

  6. Macabee Says:

Short answer No! Long answer – They have until May 20, beginning of first OTA. Can’t attend until contract signed! Some teams already have all of their draftees signed including 1st rounders. We are always one of the last teams for some reason!

  7. Red86 Says:

:) I remember that day and game. So glad that they beat those annoying Eagles.

  8. Macabee Says:

Correction: That should be training camp. Draftees cannot attend training camp without a signed contract. Remember the last minute Barron signing last year!

Ah yes, the immaculate interception. Everytime I watch that clip, I’m always trying to get a glimps of some of the Philly fans’ faces after he picked off that ball, but he was flying and it’s just a blur, but I’m sure all the Philly MD Psychiatrist were all booked up the rest of that month because there was very few people in that town that thought the Bucs would even be competitive in this game, let alone punch them in the mouth! Good piece Joe.

Seems like so long ago. Sad how time seems to fly by.

And I can’t believe that was the 2nd to last time we won a playoff game… That’s even sadder.

  14. Trey Says:

Good times!!! I went crazy during that play.

  15. scubog Says:

McNabb never saw him until he came out from the shadows with the ball and the future championship in his hands. Who said white men cant jump? I think I touched the sky and stayed elevated for the rest of that evening. Wife was on the phone arranging the hotel in San Diego (already had airline booked) before Ronde hit the endzone.

  16. below me Says:

the best part was seeing J.P. Peterson at the end…I get lost in his eyes.

  17. Jim Says:

Monte Kiffin always tells the story of trying to find enough defenders to get back on the field for kickoff. You can see him in this video telling ronde he has to get back on the field.
