Revis Hasn’t Left Town

May 5th, 2013

The most important bad knee in Tampa since Cadillac Williams’ hasn’t left local soil.

That surgically repaired knee, of course, belongs to Bucs savior Darrelle Revis.

In this NFL Network video, Rich Hollenberg reports from Bucs rookie minicamp and says a Bucs honcho made it clear that Revis has stayed in town since signing his giant new Bucs contract two weeks ago. Revis has the full attention of the Bucs’ training and medical staff but there is no update on his health.

Joe wouldn’t care if Revis rehabbed in Toronto, if that’s was what got him most ready for opening day against the Jets.

However, Joe realizes the Bucs also need Revis for his leadership, and for that he needs to be here steadily. He’s off to a great start.

A true “Buccaneer Man”…..Revis is where his contract is. He is starting to earn his $16Mil already. I think he will be a true leader and great addition.

Hmmm…where would I rather be right now after signing a $96 million dollar contract? Options: 1. Freezing cold Toronto ay? 2. New York the city I’m liked least in right now 3. Beautiful florida enjoying the sunshine and the beach

    Option 3

  4. Oldguy Says:

You omitted option 4. Riding scooters in traffic, risking a contract-nullifyng injury.

  5. DjoshFreeman Says:

You must me an old guy…so he can’t enjoy himself or have a life? No more risk than driving to and from one Buc place…revis is human too.hes a football player not the president of the United States

  6. Oldguy Says:

I just said it was an option. Of course it is all his choice.

  7. PirateBucs Says:

Reading that he was riding scooters in South Beach made my mind instantly flash to Kellen Winslow’s motorcycle accident that forever altered the trajectory of his career. Can’t believe Revis would risk it.

  8. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

I think I read somewhere or heard on NFL network that the Bucs medical staff is among the best in the league. Maybe that’s part of the reason.

  9. DjoshFreeman Says:

  11. Cmurda Says:

Follow his best friend/marketing manager? No, that’s all you my friend. I choose life. If it’s football related, please, by all means share. When is the last time during your offseason somebody busted your chops about taking a vacation? Act human and let him be human. He’s a leader and the best CB in football. I’m keeping mental notes of the haters right now. We will see how quickly you board the Revis wagon.

  13. PRBucFan Says:

I’m sure if it were that dire he not engage in that activity the Bucs organization would have included it in their “cannot do” section in the contract and you can guarantee he wouldn’t be doing it lol.

  14. Jacko101 Says:

Revis is getting 16 million a year with 0 guaranteed money of all people I’m sure he knows what he is doing; Relax everyone

The only thing I hate about scooters or even motorcycles for that matter..you can be the best driver in the world but if you get hit by someone who isn’t, you have zero protection. I love motorcycles but I choose not to ride one because I see too many idiots on the highway.
